One foot sorry for ur losses :(. It's very hard.

I would ask
1- will they put u on progesterone next preg. The results of the PROMISE trial (progesterone vs no progesterone) are not out yet but there's no harm in taking progesterone so u should def go on it from a bfp. There's enough to suggest it does help
2-aspirin after a bfp. This seems to
Help a lot of Women. Even if no found clotting problems.
3-ask if they will Give u reg scans. Reassurance has been shown to improve preg rates.

Good luck on ur journey x

Hula2 · 11/01/2015 12:30

Thanks trying - i m on day 10 but no cm and mood more like in 2ww and neg opks, normally have 3-4 days obvious ecwm then postive opk. Only ecwm was day 6, hadn t dtd before so really starting to think its already happened then. Just hate being in the dark, will try and get a proper temp in the morning.

Sunny sorry about your bfn, really feel your pain and after SO i can imagine it just intensifies the disappointment. I hope your DH results are good.

Tryingno1 · 11/01/2015 12:23

So so so pants sunny. I was really rooting for this being ur Month. ESP with the 3 eggs :(. Has it been a year ttc now? Ur seeing shehata soon aren't u? Def good ur getting sperm tested and mr s will prob offer u some more tests to check why it's not happening too, like the usual testing a gp would be at one year. it will happen for u just going to take some time. I'm sorry. Really shitty. :(

I've not left my bed in 24 hours! I look great! Am surrounded by tissues! The time in bed hasn't been v good meaning I've had time to obsses and worry as to why not preg again. everyone is wondering why I've been married for 5 years and still no baby-if one more person asks what's stopping me I might scream. Literally everyone asks me. It's so rude! I'm only 30 Leave me alone! Where I work 3 of us got preg in the same week, the both went on to have their babies (now born) and I miscarried my third. The staff asked me every single day "when will it be u, when is it u, do u not want kids?" People are so annoying
Sorry for the rant!

Hi ladies

Long time lurker, had posted on a previous thread but it moves so fast I didn't keep up.

3 miscarriages.
June 14,October 14 and dec14.

I have a ds who is 2.7 . I am 38 and dh is 42.

We are soon to have tests, well I was told I would have a blood test and me and dh would then have a test. They are not doing them together so will have to wait Forrest to come back then test again wait for them to come back before trying again so looking at least 4 months according to the lady I spoke to on Friday (the consultant receptions).

We are taking pregnacare conception and I am taking an extra folic acid as I am slightly over weight. Starting slimming world on Monday.

I am only over weight these last 3 months as I am an emotional eater and these last couple of months that've been awful.

What questions should I be asking at my appointment when I do eventually have it,she also told me that included a leaflet about a trail of a tablet. Has anyone heard of this?

sunnyday01 · 11/01/2015 12:03

Hi trying, tested again today and still nothing so assuming that's it for this round. Totally fed up and just font understand why SO is not working. It has a 85% success rate but I just don't think it's going to work for me :(. We are doing everything we should be abd I'm having a good response to the treatment so I just don't understand. Got DH sperm test on weds so hopefully in a week or so we will have results on that.

Sorry ur feeling Pants hula.
are u using ur lh sticks? I'm sure ur surge will come soon, are u sure u had ecwm and it wasn't after a day or 2 session of DTD?! (Sorry tmi).
The pred shouldn't have affected your cycle after taking it for one month, some women have reported it delaying ovulation but they were taking it before ovulation so It should be ok?
Like I've said before some
Other nk consultants in uk don't use the pred till bfp so don't fret too much if you wait a few days for ur surge....
What day r u?
Sunny hope ur ok? Did u test again today ?

Hula2 · 11/01/2015 11:32

Hope - great news on the 11 week scan and everything crossed for the harmony test results, it s usually a couple of weeks for those isn t it ?

Determined - good news the line is getting darker, i seem to remember that with my son that the line wasn t darker than the control till 6 wks so hang in there, i really hope this is the one for you.

I m fed up as i really don t know whats going on this cycle and if i can t tell if i ve ovulated i cant take the pred and then it s another cycle wasted and more waiting.

And I m worried that it may be because of the pred from last cycle that has messed this one up which if i can t take pred will mean i m back to square one.

Not sure how much more i can keep doing this. Maybe i should just be grateful for the amazing gift of my son and just accept that its and get on with life. But as all his friends start to get brothers and sisters i feel terrible i can t give him one and it s for this that i keep going. Sad

Sorry for the down post just feel like time is running out and things are getting worse not better.......really got to get a grip !

Tryingno1 · 11/01/2015 08:52

That's a though one. Hmmmmm it depends on ur personality.
I would prefer to know and usually when I'm on holiday I feel more
Postive and philosophical about it all. I've actually been on holiday straight after every miscarriage to make myself feel better for a week.

If its good news then u can relax and enjoy ur holiday?

It's a really though one.
Great news line getting darker. So really apart a bit of spotting and some cramps things seem ok now?? There's a v good chance they are ok...

Determined123 · 11/01/2015 08:48

Thanks Hope, really appreciate the info/support. I am trying to keep how early it is in mind and stay positive (even still had a shocking nights sleep).

Did another FRER and would say the test line is as dark as control now (even still i was hoping for it have a message to say 'everything is going to be fine, you won't lose this baby' but i don't think they make those tests - ha ha Smile )

The scan dilemma is a difficult - to have it before i go at 6 weeks and it not be good or inconclusive (or good but i think its too early)...or to go away and be thinking about what could be going on (if it doesn't present itself before i get back if you get me). At the moment i am tempted to leave it till i get back but may spk to Dr S and get his opinion!? xx

Hopender · 10/01/2015 20:53

It is really tricky because HCG levels are so variable, as are the tests. I think the main thing is that there is a bit of a progression, even if the line isn't really dark. Also five weeks is so early that I think even in the strongest pregnancy you wouldn't have symptoms. When I was pregnant with my little boy, and I wasn't on treatment, I didn't have any symptoms apart from really sore boobs until eight weeks. This time I started feeling queasy, had food aversions and sore boobs at nine weeks but even then, it has been much more mild than previously. I can eat everything really and I don't feel nearly as tired. At five weeks though there was nothing apart from the back pain and anxiety! Would you like the scan before you go away or do you prefer to wait? It is hard to know what is best but I think the signs are really positive! Personally, I've never had cramps before miscarrying so maybe they are a sign the baby is bedding in! Also, and I know this is tmi, but cyclogest can cause really bad constipation (according to Dr S) and as a result stomach pains too. Bit embarrassing but think that was my problem! I've never experienced it before so didn't realise!
I agree with you re the Clearblue tests really. They are too anxiety inducing, although great if they say the right thing! That rarely seems to happen though!
Anyway, hang in there. Every day that passes is a good sign, xx

Determined123 · 10/01/2015 20:47

Thanks trying, I will see how the next couple days go, like you said keeping positive about no bleeding yet xx

Tryingno1 · 10/01/2015 20:36

What a nightmare determined. Could u get a scan just before u go away? U would at least get dates? U have had no more bleeding and the pred masks symtpms. I hope this is ur one!

Determined123 · 10/01/2015 20:22

ha ha - have that image in my head now...made me chuckle xx

Determined123 · 10/01/2015 20:21

Ahh thanks Hope, your post is reassuring me..it is just so unnerving when you feel like AF is about to start and then you know pred is masking things and cyclogest could be causing other things. Boobs are slightly sore but again that's on and off - never prodded them so much which is why they could be sore!!! Don't feel tired or sick or 'off' anything either.

Oh the CB conception indicators. Used them in my first 2 pregs and never progressed to 3+ (miscarried a few weeks later) I am not sure I am brave enough. I did a FRER yesterday and it is not quite as dark as the control but it is close (spent ages obsessing with Dr Google and so many women's lines seem to be darker really early on which stressed me). I will probably do another tomorrow and see...

Not spoken with Dr S yet, just Louise. I told her I felt this was going the same way as the last one and she told me to stop testing!! Take my meds and book a scan for 6-7 weeks which would be week after next. Problem is I am on holiday from next Sunday for 9 days. Having not made it past 6-7 weeks generally I really don't want this to go wrong (ever of course) but when I am away (6-7 weeks!) this RMC lark is a flippin nightmare!

dildoos · 10/01/2015 20:17

Hope glad to hear things are going well and it made be smile about breast feeding a dog xx

Hopender · 10/01/2015 20:05

I meant the sleepless nights and breastfeeding of my little boy, not a puppy in case that wasn't clear! OMG!

Hopender · 10/01/2015 20:00

You guys will be freaking out when you have puppies and new babies to look after! Having said that, I do sometimes think about getting a puppy too. Then I remember the sleepless nights and breastfeeding... Would be lovely though! X

Hopender · 10/01/2015 19:52

Excited to read your post determined! It seems positive. At five weeks I had back back cramps and was convinced I was miscarrying which is why the epu took my bloods. I also had a scan which showed a gestational sac and a yolk sac. I was sick once in the middle of the night but nothing apart from that. I really didn't feel pregnant apart from very slightly sore boobs which would very much come and go. Then at six weeks my boobs stopped hurting completely, I had no sickness and very bad stomach cramps. That lasted about a week which is when I told Dr S I'd miscarried. He showed me the baby's heartbeat a few moments later. I was seven weeks pregnant and all was going well. It has been completely different to other pregnancies I've had.
If you can't get your bloods done, have you tried clearblue conception indicators? I know they are a bit unreliable but something to think about... What do the FRER tests say first thing in the morning? With me they were about the same colour as the control line at five weeks with first morning wee. I am such a weirdo but could try to post them! Oh I so hope this is it for you!!! Have you spoken to Dr S?

Hopender · 10/01/2015 19:37

Oops sent to soon!
Anyway, the point I was trying to make is that counselling can only be a good thing I think, apart from the expense!
I am sending you some virtual lemsip for the flu! It is hard to feel upbeat when you are feeling so unwell too. I know things will be brighter soon so hang in there lovely, xxxx

Determined123 · 10/01/2015 19:37

Re dog I am exactly the same...our house needs more than just us in it and a distraction and something to love....not a replacement at all...just somewhere for all that love you have to go and they love you back!! I think it's a great idea!!!

Tryingno1 · 10/01/2015 19:35

Bless u hope. Rec Miscarriage has so many effects and penetrates every aspect of our lives.
It's so so shit.
Thanks determined-I have looked and lots of babies born over the years. I just hope I'm one of them
Too. I hope ur bean is hanging on glad no more spotting. That's got to be a good sign.

Hopender · 10/01/2015 19:34

I was thinking of doing counselling at the end of this all too. All of the anxiety and loss, has left me feeling very worried about my little boy the whole time. I really struggle to not be too over protective of him which I know isn't great for him. I even worry when he is at nursery for three hours in the morning. The good news is that I am aware of it and try to stop myself so hopefully I won't

Determined123 · 10/01/2015 19:33

Trying so sorry you are low, want to give you a big hug. Feeling ill does absolutely nothing for your morale but as others/you have said talking may be just the thing! It's not always the easiest thing to talk about with family/friends and often I have felt a bit isolated and depressed with it all! Flowers I hope dh is looking after you xx like hope said it will happen the stats are in your favour its just pants you have to go through this journey to get you dream! But it possible this thread is testament to that (maybe go back to some of the old ones and see how many babies have been born on this plan, there is a list somewhere and there are loads).

Yay! Hope so nice to hear from you hasn't that gone fast!! Am so glad your latest scans have gone well!! Whoop! Grin

I am 21dpo which makes that about 5 weeks. I not really believing it though...had spotting on several occasions and been a POAS addict and of course none of the lines are progressing quick enough/to my liking. So anxious. Had lots of cramping and twinges on and off and don't really feel preg (I know the pred etc etc) what did you feel like at 5 weeks?

No not tried that combo, this month was just aspirin and metformin (for pcos) as was having a break. I too thought aspirin could be an issue but there is so much conflicting info out there I stuck with Dr S protocol!

Xx

Tryingno1 · 10/01/2015 19:26

Also wondering If I should get a dog?! So I have something cute and little to love! Not that a dog is a substitute but just to distract me!

Tryingno1 · 10/01/2015 19:22

Hi hope. I've got full on flu! Achey muscles snot face and shivery. I'm 9dpo and was going to test on Monday but I'm pretty sure
I'm out again. It's really hard but I'm gonna try counselling maybe to keep my spirits up. I have a new worry every few weeks as to why not preg. Today it's my nk cells stopping me. Last week was blocked tubes. Week before DH sperm!
It's driving me insane to be quite frank!
Next month I'll go on the pred as per mr s and miss the aspirin out.
