Ha ha thanks Dildoos! ;) I completely agree...I just get that sinking feeling synptoms wise or lack of and I know it's early/pred etc etc but it's the about the right time.

No GP havent been great tbh. They don't do anything and make me feel like there is nothing wrong/time waster despite all the info I have (which is generally far more than they know)....

Just got to carry on ;)

X

Determind I think trying may have a point. I think a line is a line the only way to make yourself feel better would be to ask docs for hcg bloods and some 2 days later. Are your gps good would they do this? I have everything crossed for you! Even played my hair! Try relax ( erm not that it's something I do :-)
Bigs hugs xx

Determined123 · 14/01/2015 11:33

Hi One its a bittersweet feeling isn't it... :( glad you have your blood test appointment though finally!

Thanks Trying :) - Haven't done a test for 3 days so would expect some change. Supposedly FRERs test line gets darker than control after a point. This is the problem with knowing too much and having access to google!

Tryingno1 · 14/01/2015 11:20

Sorry one foot-I've gone of Facebook for that reason. Couldn't bear the constant baby bombs. That's really quick of your local nhs I hope u get some answers that are easily Dealt with.

Tryingno1 · 14/01/2015 11:19

Determined try not to worry. even in a failing preg the hcg goes up (just maybe not double daily) so doing daily tests isn't actually going to do anything unless it goes paler and dissapeared (which it won't as u not bleeding). surely once u hit a certain threshold on the preg stick and it's the max then it can't go darker?
Please try relax, positivity helps the bean stick! I'm sending u relaxing happy vibes!

onefootinthebed · 14/01/2015 10:54

Finally had my appointment for nhs blood tests and a letter from the hospital which states that it is more than likely to be chromosomal problems than genetic problems.

At least I finally have a appointment for my blood test.why does everything that seems urgent (to me anyway) takeso long.

My best friend also told me this morning she is pregnant not sure how I feel about it,I want to cry but I want to be happy for her too. Everyone seems to be pregnant now if I unfollow anyone else on Facebook I think it will just be my statuses I see....hmm.

Determined123 · 14/01/2015 10:40

So did exactly what I said I wouldn't do and test with a FRER again (as feel less and less, (and less) confident, boobs less sore than a few days ago, no cramping or anything else) and the line is no different to 3 days ago. I would be about 5w4d so can't see how this can end up working! Am so gutted, I can't see how this is ever going to work :(

sorry for the me me me post! :(

Tryingno1 · 14/01/2015 10:33

Hi hope yeah ive heard loads of stories like that. The dye opens up any little minor blockages. That's what I'm hoping will happen if I need one in a few months time.
I'm a bit bored of obsessing over all this stuff. Going to try forget it all (! As if!) and enjoy life and when it happens it will happen.

Hopender · 14/01/2015 01:53

Just to add something on HSG, my friend got pregnant the month after having it. Her doctor told her that happens quite often as if also has the effect of flushing everything out a bit and a bit of a reset. Think it seems like quite a good thing!

dildoos · 13/01/2015 20:35

Thank you hope and determind!

Have a lovely time away!

Sunny glad your feeling more positive , you have lots to think about it I think your doing right think making time frames ( realistic time frames too!) I hope IVF is not required and you fall naturally soon.

So is something I am to think about but for now I am just going to give it time as not ready mentally for more drugs and scans , however if in 5 months still not pregnant will consider it more.

Glad to see you are feeling slightly better too trying albeit looking like Rudolph! Hope AF not being to hideous for you xx

Tryingno1 · 13/01/2015 16:23

Weird all this. I've gotten preg 3 times fairly easily. still no luck this time around. none of it makes any sense.

I'm starting to believe we all have a window of having babies. like those women who try for years and can't get preg and then have 3 babies in a row! maybe our window isn't open yet! i wish it would hurry up! i suppose its like waiting for a bus maybe??

sunnyday01 · 13/01/2015 16:10

Not really no - maybe 1/2 stone on?

That's what dh says - we looking for an answer like we were with the m/c

Tryingno1 · 13/01/2015 15:08

Sunny has your weight changed a fair bit since 2 years ago? It's a funny thing we both got preg so quickly first time around. (Im not very good with no answers!)

Tryingno1 · 13/01/2015 15:02

HSG is a scan they do where the put dye in ur uterus and tubes and make sure there's no blockage. And it can look for polyps/other uterine anatomical problems. It's what ill be getting after DH sperm test. The nhs will give it to u on nhs after trying for a year.

That's a good plan, chances are u will get preg while u wait anyway :)

sunnyday01 · 13/01/2015 14:38

thanks trying - what's HSG?

Had a quick chat with DH to update him, and we have both said we would want to try naturally before going down the IVF route plus i think we would need to get IVF done on the NHS as i'm not sure we could afford it otherwise. To get IVF in my area your BMI needs to be 30 so i would have to loose weight so our current thinking is that we would try for say the rest of this year naturally and then if nothing happened we could explore IVF and hopefully by that time my weight would be down to a level below BMI 30.

A long way to go and a lot to think about but its nice to know there are other options to consider - i was starting to loose the will to live!

And all this may change dependnt on DH sperm test and SO round 6!

Tryingno1 · 13/01/2015 14:02

Also sunny, if all tests comes back clear and it's "unexplained" then ivf may not be needed. U just might need some More time. In nhs world for unexplained I think u have to wait 2 years of trying before ivf. (I think)

Tryingno1 · 13/01/2015 13:59

Hi sunny missed ur post. Suppose ivf takes some time to get ur head around. It's a big step....hopefully u will have DH sperm by ur appt and I'm sure mr s will suggest a HSG (if he doesn't ask why not as its part of fertility work up). I think tryingn a few months off the pred and aspirin is also a good idea. His protocol is to stop pred after 6 Months anyways so u would still be listening to him!

Tryingno1 · 13/01/2015 13:56

How lovely hope. Def huge milestones. I've still never managed to make it to my midwife appt! I've booked a lot of them before though! Before u know it u will be telli ur little one he has a sister or brother on the way yay!

I'm feeling slightly better but look like Rudolph!

I've done one month of pred no aspirin before it didn't help me get preg! But here is hoping.

I had a look in my diary and I actually had retained products for a month last time-I kept having scans hoping it would go away but ended up with a d and c. I did take antibiotics but the fear of blocked tubes now is def on my mind. I shall wait it out to month 8 and then have some tests done to check this out.

I'm feeling much more accepting of the whole thing. I'll either get preg naturally, or I'll need ivf (which is a long way away unless obv problems on tests). Either way I'll have my baby. I just might loose my mind a little on the way Hmm

sunnyday01 · 13/01/2015 13:54

had an email back from Louise today - she hasn't really answered the questions I asked and said it was something that needed to be discussed with Dr S at my next appointment - she also mentioned IVF (eeek!) is something we could discuss as well as getting a sperm test done for DH (which is tomorrow anyway so hopefully we will have the results by the time we go)

Not sure how I feel about IVF at this stage but i guess we need to see what DH sperm results are first.

Now I've come down with a bug too or just really bad morning sickness. Have lost my voice and don't have the energy to get out of bed!
I am feeling really positive for you determined. I love hearing that 83% figure from Dr S. It really gives us so much reason to feel hopeful! I was convinced it wasn't going to work when I was at your stage but so far have been proved wrong. My mum asked me the other day at what point I thought I would relax and I had to admit that I didn't think I would until the baby arrives. I had my first appointment with the midwife yesterday and having 12 week scan on Monday next week so those both feel like quite big milestones.
Hope you start to feel a lot better soon trying. It's not nice to have to deal with being sick on top of AF. Will be good to see how you get on with pred but no aspirin this month.
I'm off for a snooze now! Catch up later, x

Tryingno1 · 13/01/2015 09:39

Am better thanks though still not great! Not been a great few days for obsessing and going through pages of mumsnet!

Determined123 · 13/01/2015 09:20

Your so right-thanks trying!! Hope the flu is much better x

Tryingno1 · 13/01/2015 09:16

I know we all do it! But hopefully this is ur one. U are preg today :) and no more spotting is only a good thing :)

Determined123 · 13/01/2015 08:38

Not till Sunday. Am desperate to be there!

It's crazy, Dr S tells us something like 83% success rate but I'm behaving/feeling like i have a 17% chance and 83 not working, think it's a protection mechanism! Need to focus on PMA more!! Like you said it will happen when it happens, I take my meds, look after myself and the rest is out of my hands!!

Xx

Tryingno1 · 13/01/2015 08:06

When r u off determined? Have a great time. Great on the view-ur right whatever will happen will happen regardless of the scan. I'm hoping it turns out fine, it's natural for us to think the worst in this situation but I'm so glad u not had more spotting etc.
Have a lovely relaxed time away, try not to fret and sleep lots!
