Sorry to hear your test was lighter Determined - this is such a hard path to tread, i think i ll be a nervous wreck if i manage to get another bfp. I guess as trying said if you re not bleeding or cramping then there s some hope but i totally understand that feeling of dread and limbo that somethings wrong. I hope you can know one way or another soon.

Trying - my bleeding has turned out like a pretty usual af so basically one round of pred caused me to have a 12 day cycle !! ( didn t know the body was capable of doing something so wacky as that). So i m just gonna see what happens now and pray it goes back to normal then think about whether i try pred again, haven t manage to speak to Louise yet.

Trying - decided on accu only this month as feeling too emotional to go through the rest. Maybe next month.
Determined - yes have thyroid antibodies too. I've lowered my TSH with levothyroxine and the antibodies are treated with pred etc I believe.

Thanks Rosa, am booked to see him as soon as I am back from hols so will have plenty of Q's for him! Am going to check my levels when I get home as from memory I was only borderline but I think activity may be high? Am I right in thinking you have thyroid antibodies also? (or am I confusing you with someone else). Do you get given anything for that (or just pred) as I have read a few women with thyroid antibodies get given things like synthyroid and levothyroxine but when asked I got told the pred was enough (brain is working overtime as you can imagine).

I take hydroxy already and no failed pred yet- think it's because I've high NK and high activity etc
It doesn't seem to have side effects so be worth discussing.

Weird!! I was literally just talking to my MIL about Hydroxychoroquine 2 seconds ago...I just want to see what he says and am open to what he things it is/we can try...and yes am on metformin still. Will be on that for good but I am used to it now. (DH and I are considering going to a PCOS expert as could but that but normally PCOS'rs have issues getting preg although they do have a higher mis rate.

Mr s has a drug called hydroxychloroquine he gives to women who fail on 2 goes of pred. Ask him about that. But we still don't know it's failed-except I'm sorry line is lighter :( ....are u on metformin too coz ur pcos?

Thanks trying...I know it ain't over till it's over and thing fluctuate but I was naughty and did a test, the line was lighter and slower to come up (didn't go dark enough for the hook effect ha ha ;))

I wil book an appointment for after hols to quiz Dr S about next steps. I get no further on or off treatment so it's madness to continue in the same way. I have spent over £1000 on intralipids these past few months, meds and trips to london not to mention the time out my brain has had from my normal life...need me/my life back!!

Try not to lose your mind (even though I have ;)) you will get there... We all will and when we do it will be so amazing!! So deserved!!

Ha ha you may have to trick DH to the docs or give him the guilt trip about all you have to do...I do that all the time in a jokey way

Oh dear I'm sorry determined. It doesn't help all of us saying "it might be ok" but it might??? Ur not spotting and the pred 100 percent mAsks symtpoms - it used to be used as morning sickness control years ago and was v effective!
Have u got a scan planned for when u come back? If anything so u can be happy or stop taking the pred? I truely hope ur just being a worry wart! No spotting is good. No crAmps also good.

I'm feeling a bit hopeless again this am. If it takes me forever to get preg, then I miscarry again and this cycle continues I'll be 40 and nowhere closer. I'm already loosing. Bit of my mind, I'll have totally lost it by then! Don't think DH will be very impressed about getting his sperm checked ill have to force him into the surgery! What's up with men and their sperm?! Well mine Anywys.

It's so hard having to behave normal when others talk about their pregs when it was such a breeze (don't moan to be about getting fat when you know I am ttc and on strong fat enhancing steroids...that kind of thing!)

Thanks trying - being honest I am not holding it together at all. Completely broke down night before last and last night as I think all is lost again. Boob soreness completely gone and feel absolutely nothing! I am just devastated that this keeps happening (and 2nd on treatment). :(

Hula what happened to ur bleeding? Unusual that happ and after 1 course of pred too....

Sunny and trying know them feelings well! Sometimes you want to scream and shout and other times you think actually I am too above it!
My sil is same position 2 in the time we have been trying. First when we found our dp sperm was lower than normal and lazy she said what a relief at least it's not you! WTF?! Either of is isn't good! Then when found nk cells issue too she said hurt up they are waiting for a cousin ! Erm yes well I would but clearly 3 and a half years on it isn't the bloody easy for us all! Rage! I get rage every time I hear idiots say stuff like this! X

Oh sunny! I know ur pain. I had a girl complaining to me the other day saying "I'm preg it took me a whole year " a whole year can u believe its been awful and stressful Etc etc. little did she know what I've been through. I just nodded and kept saying but the baby is fine and ur 13 weeks and congrats!
And yes we are all next on here. But doesn't work like that :(
I'm so not looking fwd to seeing my sil , luckily she drives my DH a bit mad too but seeing her bump and little one knowing I've new trying for the same amount of time. NOT FAIR

Thanks girls. I ve never had implantation bleed or mid cycle ov spotting before and seems more than that (unfortunatly!). Just gonna have to wait it out and hope this is a temp problem. Maybe i ll just have to take it from bfp if i manage to get one....

It's a simple quite inexpensive test too! They make me so cross at times as they would want the test if it were themselves!
Well I keep everything crossed for you. Hoping lack of preg symptoms Due to pred, if it helps I never had a single symptom with my dd and my bloods never ever double and were low and prepared me for ectopic in bleeding and couldn't see a sac. Had full on period and heavy bleeding for entire 9 months and almost 7 now :-) unsure if it will help you to feel a little reassured? X

Thanks for your support guys! It really does mean a lot :) I feel like such a crazy person right now and need to man up! I have a super busy couple of days before I go so will just have to keep focused and push on through.

Hula am so so sorry about your messed up cycle, I would deffo email louise as normally I thought it caused later ov (well did with me). I have read sometimes spotting mid cycle can be ov but that's more spotting than AF.

Oh determined sorry you re having a stressful time. I agree with the others, there can be so many variables with urine preg tests that you can t draw any useful conclusion without bloods or scan. Also there is the hook effect where there is too much hcg that can interfere with the test. I think trying to distract yourself and just plod on until the scan is all you can try and do. Hopefully your holiday will help but i ll be keeping everything crossed this works out ok for you.

Afm well the first try of pred has well and truly messed my cycle up :-( Today (day 13) i ve starting light af type bleeding. So looks like maybe i did ovu on day 6 and then had a 6 days luteal phase !!!!! Really don t know if it s caused this level of disruption i ll be brave enough to try it again, particularly when i don t feel i have alot of time to waste. Have an apt with dr s next month and maybe will email louise too but just feel it s another thing making this mountain harder to climb.....

Oh it's so hard determined. I rem last preg I think I cried nearly every day! Even when I had symptoms. It's so so hard. Maybe try some meditation, keeping busy or something so u can switch off and not focus on it.
