He's never been like that though stocking. It's hit me hard today watching him last night. He's farmer, sometimes hard, almost life cycle type. Does that make sense? I've really felt lonely as he just has not got it. But he did last night. I love him to bits but he really won't talk about it. I guess I know now he does care. Don't get me wrong, and I'm maybe typing this badly, he cares, but I just didn't think he got it??

StockingFullOfCoal · 01/01/2015 19:42

allthe cross post there. Its hit my DH far harder than it has me, but I think that's because of his previous loss, he can't tolerate any talk of baby related things at all right now, unless its just me him and either his DSis or my best friend. He can let himself go in front of them but not anyone else. He'll fall silent and the leave the room.

StockingFullOfCoal · 01/01/2015 19:38

haribo I felt a litte like that yesterday but reminded myself that even with perfect conditions - healthy egg healthy womb lots of healthy sperm that the chance of conception is around 20% per month. So I don't feel as bad now. It did jarr when I realised my earliest due date would now be October 2015 and that feels so far away, and in reality, I think, given all the stats, its more likely to be Jan 2016 and that makes me Sad

Allthequeenshorses · 01/01/2015 19:35

Good evening ladies and 2015.

Been a difficult festive season and started the new year feeling blue. Drove last night and went to friends of dh for drinks. Ended up leaving around ten as dh, I repeat, dh, not me could not take anymore baby talk. One particularly insensitive discussion had me going for a walk outside, despite having not smoked for years. I did not smoke, but came close. I actually feel kinda blessed that he noticed as he is a big insensitive type and actually was a star. I'm rambling, but don't really want to type out what was said. The stupid things people say when they have not been where we are.

No idea at all re this month. Have managed a couple of ovulation days but to be honest, I feel that's the least of my worries. I'm actually frightened to get a bfp because I know what will follow. I'm just trying to ignore it all. So if you hear of someone that gets to like six months and has not done a test that will probably be me. I absolutely get that we are all different but for me, it's that roller coaster, bfp, mc. Just like that.

Anyway, promised myself I would be more positive so went for a ride on my very muddy pony in my Jammies today with my lovely dneice and cosied in now, thinking of you all. X

HariboBrenshnio · 01/01/2015 12:40

AF got me. Such an evil witch she is. My dad asked how i was doing and i ended up crying on his shoulders. DP said we are DTD every day from CD8 - 20 next month to try get pregnant. I know we DTD 3 times leading up to ovulation and the day of last month so was feeling hopeful :(

UltimateDuck · 01/01/2015 09:21

Oh and yes, you can use your moon cup now. Smile

UltimateDuck · 01/01/2015 09:20

Guy don't worry, i didn't find your post insensitive. Actually AF turned up this morning. I suppose it means everything is working properly. It's just so rubbish that it's another whole month without a bfp. Why oh why are cycles so long?!

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 01/01/2015 08:04

Sorry Ultimate, my post was really insensitive after yours. I'm happy about my period only because we weren't ttc this month as I wanted to get cycle back to normal first. If you don't know when you ovulated, you might have to just bite the bullet and poas. A negative doesn't necessarily mean you're not pg- as you don't know when period is due, it could just be too early. You might be pg, you might not have ovulated yet, you might not ovulate at all this cycle. Stupid wtf cycle- impossible to predict. Sending hugs.

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 01/01/2015 07:56

Yey, first post mc period arrived this morning! 35 days since mc which is my usual cycle. Happy it's here now. We'll start ttc this month.
I can use my mooncup, right?

UltimateDuck · 31/12/2014 23:54

Brummie I'm so so sorry this has happened to you. There are no words. I have only posted a handful of times on this thread but I can see how wonderful and supportive everyone is. Please talk to us if you need to, there are some things you can't say to people in RL, but you can say them here. No matter what you are feeling we will listen.

I'm in my wtf cycle atm and am on cd30. I really don't want to poas unneccesarily as the disappointment will be too painful. Any thoughts on how long would be reasonable to wait for AF to show up? I mc'd at exactly 6 weeks but i have no idea when/if I ov'd. I'm trying and failing not to obsess, I think when this AF arrives it is going to hit me hard.

StockingFullOfCoal · 31/12/2014 23:34

Epskie I experienced that too. Four different lumpy bits over a week. Along with lots of blood and some small lumpy bits.

epskie · 31/12/2014 23:14

Hi all, so sorry to hear the sad news Brummie :-( my heart goes out to you.

I mc on Xmas day and thought that was it over but today I had terrible pain and another two big tissue losses (sorry Tmi) has anybody else experienced this? Thanks in advance x

StockingFullOfCoal · 31/12/2014 21:04

TMI warning:

I'm on my first AF since MC and it is horrendous - as heavy as the actual MC and I've got a lot of small clots coming out. My "uncontrolled" periods as in not on the Pill/coil etc have always been absolutely terrible, but this one is taking the mick. I've flooded 3 pads already today (good job I was at home) and I just feel drained.

I tested negative the day after the MC bleeding stopped.

Went back to the GP today and I have to take in a full urine sample on Friday to be sent off to the lab. Symptoms have come back since finishing the amoxicillin but they aren't as bad as they were prior to taking it.

fromwesttoeast · 31/12/2014 20:42

Gr33, that's an amazing story! I posted on the 40 plus thread too and someone there came forward to say that she had a similar situation with positives throughout her first AF post mc.
These threads are such a wealth of knowledge and support.

HariboBrenshnio · 31/12/2014 18:49

brummie I'm so so sorry, it's so shit. I hope the hospital will start investigations into your miscarriages now. Life is so cruel. I hope you've got lots of support in RL.

My body is playing tricks on me and it's not fair. I know mc messes things up though. I'm peeing loads, my boobs are agony, Iv increased discharge and I can't keep my eyes open - all my usual signs of early pregnancy and not AF (usually just get overly weepy and some cramping) but tests showing BFN with AF due tomorrow. Cruel hormones getting my hopes up!

Gr33dyeggs · 31/12/2014 18:37

westtoeast We were told a story by the dr after our mc of a lady who was suffering a mc and being regularly scanned. They saw the initial sac shrink and then a second appear and develop whilst the initial was reabsorbed. There are exceptions to every rule and our bodies do some odd things! Hope you have support in RL. Jx

fromwesttoeast · 31/12/2014 17:31

Thanks everyone who responded to my query. The confusion for me is that I have not had a "classic" mc which I can pin down to a date. I had two very small sacs the largest of which never exceeded 12mm. Over a series of scans the sacs grew, then started to collapse then shrank until at the last scan the doctor said that what remained would "come out with your next period". I know this is contrary to what most people are told. So, at last scan there was stuff remaining but I was told it didn't matter.
Throughout the miscarriage episode I did not experience heavy bleeding or cramps, so it wasn't a normal mc iyswim. The bleeding part ended about 3 and a half weeks ago.
This is why I'm not sure what's happening. It's interesting to know that a period can happen even while some hcg remains. Maybe that's what the doctor was suggesting.

I am so, so sorry brummie. Words can't even express.
I hope you have plenty of support x

Gr33dyeggs · 31/12/2014 16:24

brummie Sad Flowers You must be devastated. I'm so sorry its happened again.

westtoeast apparently lower than 25 is considered negative medically but the urine tests still show positive below this. I'm pretty sure it was a period. It was 4 weeks to the day of mc and was like usual (with the exception of 4 days spotting prior to it). I'd had a scan which showed empty womb so unlikely to have been prolonged mc.

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 31/12/2014 16:22

fromwest I think it is unlikely to be a period if still positive test. Equally if everything had passed, you should have a negative test within a couple of weeks so I would imagine it possibly hasn't all gone yet? But someone else might come along with more knowledge than me! Could you push for some blood tests or further scanning?

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 31/12/2014 16:18

Oh brummie. We are here for you. I'm so sorry. It's so fucking unfair.

fififolle · 31/12/2014 16:13

So so sorry Brummie xx

mrsdiddlydoo · 31/12/2014 15:05

brummie heartbroken for you. It's so unfair. Hope you have some RL support. We're all here for you. Flowers 2nd fromwesttoeast about checking out the recurrent mc thread. Amazing bunch of ladies. I am sorry I don't know your background, but I would recommend speaking to the hospital about what happens next. They may be able to check the baby for abnormalities which could feed into any future care you receive. Such a crude thing to say at a time like this. I'm sorry Sad.

Thepurplegiraffe · 31/12/2014 15:00

Brummie so so sorry, there are no words. Thinking of you, lots of hugs and flowers Thanks
