You're obviously made out of stronger stuff than me PCM! It got easier the longer I did it and it's meant that my sleep pattern wasn't completely buggered when I gave up completely (unlike the last time I got pg and didn't sleep properly for the whole time - I'm sure it was going from drinking every day to teetotal once pg).

God sound like I was an alki!!

Anyway, right now I could do with going back to bed instead of sitting at work. I hate Mondays. Role on maternity leave. Only about 30 weeks to go LOL!!!

pinkranger · 09/10/2006 09:48

I am on CD 26 and feel that AF is on her way ( very bad PMT) but didnt really put any effort in this month... not sure how long cycle will be as this willl be first proper Af sine M/c .

trace you must6 be chuffed to bits with Jack - Bless xx

PCM, so glad you feel on the up , I have never really gave up drink while trying to concive as i think it was natty that said you cant put your life on hold.... and i was still going out clubbing, drinking and smoking the weekend i found out i was Pg with Dds , and he was fine! ( dont smoke now) Just relaxing and try and enjoy life! xxx

Hope that everyone else is well xxxx,

pussycatmomma · 09/10/2006 09:46

hiya juicy.........how hard for you just now. Easiest thing in the world to say try not to worry, impossible not to im sure. You do have lots to be positive about - a heartbeat!! scan coming up! Park your pregnant self on the sofa for as long as you need sweetie, we are all here to chat to even if we cant offer much in the way of practicalities. For what its worth, stay positive, and remember....
If you cry for lack of the sun, your tears wont allow you to see the beauty of the stars.
Just take each day as it comes juice, You are pregnant TODAY, their is a second tiny beating heart butterflying inside yourself..........
stay strong, stay positive,
now get comfy woman, and if theres no one around to talk to , get out the choccy biscuits and watch some Jeremy Kyle. Only then will you appreciate all that is good in your life !!!
(((((((((huge hugs)))))))))))) x

Hi Girls,

I cut down my alcohol intake when TTC, but didn't give up completely. I tried for alcohol free weeks and moderate drinking at the weekend.

Have now given up totally, which is actually really easy as it just doesn't taste as nice any more.

Coggy - could you post that info on the bereaved thread for me that would be great.

Still really worried about my pg, but keep thinking that as the scan showed a heartbeat I should try to stay positive. Don't have strong symptoms so am paranoid if they reduce a little.
Role on the 25th and my next scan.

Make room on the sofa for a worrywort...

NattyandThomasandBump · 08/10/2006 20:54

hi guys!

has anyone heard from andi in last few days?

Natty1806 · 08/10/2006 20:52

PCM - temps dropping is not a good thing it usually means AF is on her way. I try to give up booze but cause our social life generally revolves around meeting up at the pub i have failed i have cut down a bit but i get to the stage of not putting my life on hold just in case. When i get preggers i will give up 100% for the full nine months if not more but until then it is just too hard.

Trace - good luck to Jack You must be very proud.

HalloweenSucks · 08/10/2006 20:51

Oi pusscat, your book's upside down you know.

Had a helluva week. Apart from having the bleed on Tues, DH crashed our car and wrote it off whilst hurrying to be with me, our landlord is selling our house so we will be homeless, one of our cat's renal failure has got worse and DH's uncle died yesterday.

On the upside, our baby has a heartbeat, DH has been accepted into the police force after 9 months of tests and assessments and my hilarious other cat is trying to chase the cursor across my laptop which is keeping me highly amused.

Life's a funny old thing ain't it?

Pusscat I am so glad you're feeling better.

(it's ShowOfHands btw)

pussycatmomma · 08/10/2006 20:14

Natts, not sure what the temp drop means, sorry am uninitiated. If it is a sad thing then i am sorry, if it is a good thing, then Woo-hoo!!

quick poll........who will confess to drinking alcolhol while they are ttc?? i completly stopped for about 6mths, but admit to drinking wine a few times a week when i found out we had a slight non-appearance of egg problem. Figured if i wasnt gonna get pregnant anyway there was no point depriving myself. However, as I am now back in the running for ttc, whats the current trend? Last night was the first night since a week before the op that i had a glass of red with dh. Was divine . But hands up if you dont drink at all whilst ttc, and who thinks its safe etc etc ........
By the way, no slopping hot chocolate on the new sofa, its got to last us till 1000 posts remember! (((pusscat arranges the footstools and pouffes for the pregnant among us))))
love to all x x x

Morning ladies. Wanted to sneak in early (for a Sunday) and plop my big, fat, pregnant bottom (it's vast) onto your new sofa to check the springs.

Hope you're all enjoying the autumn weather - my favourite time of year.

Coggy: wanted to catch up. Are you definitely starting IUI next month if no luck this month? Which CD are you on?

I'm around more now, as MS has (finally) eased off at 19 weeks. Phew.

Natty: I'll keep an eye out for you over the next few days and pray aunty keeps away.
