Damn you ditzzy, how did you know?!! Grin

It was pointless though as bloody, arsing, twunting, gitting, tossy AF turned up this morning Sad ARSE. Feel really annoyed that I believed lots of anecdotal bollucks stories about fertility surges after mc's. I am so bored of sex! Blush

I also have been vivid dreams Mrsgentle but I think it's my state of mind at the moment, rather than preg related.

Hi casi, sorry to hear of your MC. Nice to see familiar names but by buggery I wish we were seeing each other on an Antenatal thread! Confused

ditzzy · 27/12/2014 09:05

Hi Casi! Good to see you back in and raring to go. I'm not sure I want to be on too much more of an exciting thread though - I'd be happy with a few moments of excitement of a BFP and then a really boring quiet calm next 8 months Wink

I'm off to ILs for a few days. Taking my decaf coffee but even that's sure to raise an eyebrow or two. Expecting AF to arrive while we're there so going fully prepared (although that'll obviously be just the time I don't need smart arse comments about the coffee!!). Not likely to make it back on here for a few days now though, although I'm sure Loopy will have caved and POAfewSs by then Grin

I agree with Casiopeia - there never is a right time to Have a baby? :( sometimes, we have to let fate take over!
Sorry to hear about your miscarriage Casiopeia - there is never anything to say that can make it better, but I hope you are doing ok and have some good support aroun you!

Quick question - anyone else having vivid dreams? For a week now, every night, my dreams are SO realistic, I can wake up in tears! They are horrific?! :(

casiopeia · 27/12/2014 07:35

Hi ladies, I am rejoining the 2 ww after a recent BFP and a miscarriage the following week. There was not much DTD this cycle as spending holidays with family (lack of privacy petrifies me), so I dont have high hopes, but I felt like joining a group to prevent me from going crazy. I am 1DPO. Good to see you again, dittzy and loopyla, but hopefully we will meet in a more exciting thread soon.
purple sounds very frustrating! This is probably not helpful to you now, but apparently there is never a good time. And from experience, once the 'time' is good, the baby is just not happening. I hopr you work out a solution, I really do xx

Purplelilly · 27/12/2014 00:37

Hopefully not usually getting symptoms will really help you see it when it's your month :) That means it looks even better for you this month!

Every month before AF I get exhaustion, sore boobs, headaches, cramps in my stomach, break out in spots on face and chest, and really bloated.
I've convinced myself I'm pregnant every month due to my AF symptoms lol. Last month I had an anovulatorycycle and convinced myself I was pregnant due to it being the only month I've ever NOT had symptoms! haha
I definitely don't think I could tell if I were pregnant based on symptoms in early pregnancy.

I'm a PhD student and after this month I wouldn't be entitled to any financial assistance from the university for maternity. I'd somehow fall between the available support. I am contracted to work full time hours, but I'm not technically employed so that affects my benefit entitlement as well.

My husband and I have gone round in circles trying to work out how we can ttc, but we just can't afford it. We thought about selling the house and renting, but rent is more than a mortgage around here atm. We debated him trying to get a job near a city with higher wages, but the commute would be too long.

I know I couldn't keep working 65+ hours a week if I had a baby... but part of me wants to give it a go! If the university accepted me going part time, my fees would be halved and if my mum could look after the baby for a day a week or something, perhaps I could get a night job and a loan from family for the first year or something.
It doesn't work out though, no matter what I think of.

I completely broke down about it today. I thought I'd accepted it but it hit me in a wave and I really scared myself about the intensity of my feelings! Why is the drive so strong to have kids? It physically hurts sometimes. Nature is so difficult lol.

1Strawberry · 26/12/2014 23:32

purplelily this is my 3rd month trying. Don't keep super careful track of symptoms but yes I guess the lack of symptoms would be normal for me - I knew I wasn't pregnant. You were saying earlier that this is your last chance to ttc for a while, how come?

Mrsgentle2014 · 26/12/2014 23:24

Oh goodness no.. Wouldn't even know what I was doing or looking for! Came off contraception in August due to endometriosis so I am in a permanent state of "could I be pregnant?" As I've been pregnant on a pill before!
It's like I'm going mad - crazy symptom spotting. But my friend did rightly point out I'm experiencing the same symptoms I had the first time around, so maybe I am...?

Purplelilly · 26/12/2014 22:30

Mrsgentle do you chart your temps and/or use opks?

Fingers crossed for you!!

Purplelilly · 26/12/2014 22:26

Thanks Strawberry. They're extremely difficult to deal with. I rarely ever have problems with anyone, but there are some extremely narcissistic personalities in that family. It wouldn't be so bad if they treated my oh well, but they're just so emotionally abusive to him. Still, I'm lucky we don't have to visit very often so should just get on with it!

Do you keep track of your symptoms each month? Was last month's no symptoms normal for you?

I really hope it is a good sign for you!! How long have you been ttc?

I wish I could give some techniques but I've never found any that work for me!

1Strawberry · 26/12/2014 18:46

Anyone got any techniques for making the wait easier?

1Strawberry · 26/12/2014 18:44

Sorry about the in laws purplelilly, sounds terrible :( hopefully you'll be smug with your bump soon! I'm just starting to feel the torture of the 2ww, think I'm about 3dpo, how will I survive?!! Actually am starting to feel some (possibly imaginary) symptoms this month, sore boobs, nausea on and off, look pale and tired - last month nothing, so waiting to see whether it goes away or intensifies...:0

Mrsgentle2014 · 26/12/2014 18:18

12dpo.. I think? Last period was 27th November. Had sex 14 days and 21 days after this (husband been away a lot this month) Sore boobs, bloated, nauseous and exhausted! Tested at 10dpo and a BFN.
Have no idea what is going round in my head, feel like I'm going mad!

Purplelilly · 26/12/2014 15:22

Turns out I got mixed up, I'm actually 10dpo today!

ditzzy It's not that early for me, I usually get AF symptoms starting about a week before af is due.
Aww :( I hope your cat enjoys cuddles!! Mine tend to savage me when I get too cuddly with them haha!

I hope you enjoyed the wine, it'll be good for you to relax :) I don't think a lack of symptoms at 10dpo is a bad sign really, it is still early.

We have 4 children under a year old in my family and we've seen them all over Christmas, plus a lot of older children. MY OH's sister just had a baby a few weeks ago and we'll be seeing them tomorrow. His family know we're desperate for a baby and seem to enjoy making snide comments and throwing it in our faces. Really going to be difficult.

Wish I could just have one more month ttc before stopping. I just need there to be a little bean in my belly right now!!!

ditzzy · 26/12/2014 10:09

Hi PurpleLilly That would be very early for AF symptoms though wouldn't it?

I know exactly what you mean by Christmas drawing attention to there being no children in the house though - I watched out of the window while a neighbour tried to teach his daughter how to balance on brand new rollerskates yesterday, and had to turn back into my own house and seek out the cat to cuddle. It really wasn't the same!

I'm still really not feeling it this month, at 10 dpo I having nothing remotely resembling a symptom to the extent that I had a couple of glasses of red wine last night, and even that hasn't managed to make me wake up feeling sick!!!

Purplelilly · 26/12/2014 01:52

I tested today and got a bfn. I'm only 10dpo though, so expected it.
I can really feel AF symptoms starting today. Sore boobs, back pain, tearful and a little short tempered.

I am desperate to get pregnant, but I think to a point I've emotionally checked out of ttc this month. I have no idea how to cope having to put off ttc for a couple of years. It's the only source of tension in our marriage, but a very big one atm!

I hope Christmas has been a good distraction for you Loopy. I've found it just draws attention to my lack of child! It feels like everyone I know is either pregnant or has a newborn atm! I know it's just my tunnel vision though.

LoopyLa · 23/12/2014 19:58

God I'm dying to POAS!!! Shock What's wrong with me?!? I didn't get a bfp til 13dpo last time & I'm only 7/8 dpo at the mo Hmm

Thank god it's Xmas soon, I need the distraction Xmas Blush

ditzzy · 23/12/2014 17:06

I think its 7 dpo Loopy (might be 8?) Hmm

I'm definitely not feeling it at the moment though. All the niggles from earlier in the week are gone, so the only vaguely symptom-like thing I have left is complete exhaustion (which I suspect could be a desperate need for the Christmas break).

Nothing wrong with blind optimism though Grin surely the lack of the vicious symptoms from last month is a good thing, because they were actually a sign of impending disaster?! Xmas Wink

I see there's no word from Boyle yet - has she legged it over to the ante-natal bus and left the rest of us hanging here on this thread Grin

LoopyLa · 23/12/2014 16:52

Oh you poor love Purplelily, what godawful timing! Silver lining tho -> no work Xmas Grin

Glad the nurofen helped a little too.

Any news Boyle? Hope everything is ok.

ditzzy I've lost track of what dpo we are?!? What do you reckon?

I keep having niggles in both sides of my uterus, what's that about?? trying not to imagine that I could be pregnant with twins Xmas Shock

Purplelilly · 22/12/2014 22:09

Good luck testing Boyle! Fingers crossed for a Christmas BFP for you :)

Purplelilly · 22/12/2014 22:07

LoopyLa I ended up coming down with a really horrible sickness bug on Saturday night and have been in bed since. This evening if the first time I’ve felt well enough to sit up but still getting hot and cold sweats, dizziness, headache and stomach cramps. One positive is that I’ve contacted my supervisor and told them my work is going to be delayed, so will take the Christmas Eve and Christmas Day off.

My sciatica is a lot better thank you. I did end up taking nurofen to take the edge off as you suggested. I have a low level sciatic pain all the time but it flares up every so often, usually around AF time or if I've moved my leg in a certain way. My husband had got me a heated under sheet for the bed and he gave me that early so I didn’t have to use a hot water bottle under my thighs (where I get the worst pain). That has definitely helped a lot!

Hopefully I’ll be up to finishing my Christmas shopping tomorrow, I still have a few presents to get! I always promise myself I’ll be more organised with Christmas next year… but never am!

Boyle1884 · 22/12/2014 18:42

I will loopy thank you... Having a hot flush tonight??? What's that all about? Also majorly tired and my boobs are huge!!!!! Could just be the delightful af coming but I do feel strange.

LoopyLa · 22/12/2014 18:34

Good luck tomorrow Boyle, make sure you let us know & post a bfp pic! Xmas Grin

Boyle1884 · 22/12/2014 17:23

Mrs C... Please let me know your result when you poas. I'm intrigued as my husband has too said that he's sure I'm pg... He can apparently sense it and I smell different to normal?! Also got incredibly large stiff nipples haha.

Only one day to poas for me... Feel so sick and sleepy today!!!!!

Nervous83 · 22/12/2014 14:06

OMG MrsC I was just telling my cousin that my nipples keep going really stiff at really inappropriate times Xmas Blush I've not seen anyone else talking about that so was wondering what was going on

MrsCrumbtious · 22/12/2014 13:51

5dpo and slowly going symptom spotting loopy! V.tired, some odd cramps and tmi but my nipples could cut glass they are that stiff haha. Hubby keeps telling me I'm pregnant as he has a funny feeling about it! Xx
