When will you test toots

I have really bad period cramps now. I know they come with bfp also but these definitely feel like proper af cramps. I'm only cd23, 9dpo. so I think af might show up earlyAngry not due for another 5/6 days.

tootsroots · 12/11/2014 16:25

dozy I had spotting all the time and ended up being a cervical ectropian which is easily zapped and often goes by itself .
Did he have a look at your cervix? If not get a female gp to look and if needed refer to a gyny to cauterise it. It's easy to diagnose and is a relief now I don't have it anymore !

Now I am obsessed I am symptom developing damn pre af being same thing as pg symptoms. All because I caved and bought frers. Am on cd 28;)
Lots of ewcm and pinging pain on one side.
Confused

I joined sw a few weeks ago and without trying hard lost 6lb! Go for it!

kissinggiraffe · 12/11/2014 15:34

Sounds like my kind of eating plan then miss I get really grumpy if I'm hungry!

MissMrsMummy · 12/11/2014 15:26

Good luck with SW kissing I found it really good as you can eat and be full all the time!

kissinggiraffe · 12/11/2014 15:22

dozy keep pushing for any tests you feel you need. Lie if you have to Wink
I've decided to join slimming world next week. I need to lose a lot bit of weight and I'm sure doing so won't hurt any chance of getting a bfp.

MissMrsMummy · 12/11/2014 15:07

Ps terrys I woke up with AF cramps too but they've gone now

MissMrsMummy · 12/11/2014 15:06

terrys I was reading about temp drops earlier and it says that in a study 23% of single temp drops resulted in pg and the most common day was 7-8 dpo. I had a temp dip this morn at 6dpo so I'm clinging that statistic! Be interesting to see if they go back up tomorrow.

Congratulations number and amazing it happened so quickly for you this time!

Sorry AF has arrived for a few of you. It really is the worst feeling, have a treat and get psyched up for the Dec bus!

dozy sorry they won't let you have the tests. I have lots of spotting too and nobody seems bothered. So maybe I shouldn't be either?! I've read lots of forum posts from women who have it and still get pg.

Just rang GP surgery for blood results and it's CLOSED Angry. Why did they tell me to ring today?!

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 12/11/2014 14:36

Toots I'm off to boots later doing a Christmas shop aaaargh

tootsroots · 12/11/2014 14:32

Don't stampede at once but poas addicts - FRER are bogof at boots.

Despite knowing af is on route given the cramps and upset tummy I normally get I succumbed and bought them.

For next month not tomorrow first thing obviously.

nutelladipper · 12/11/2014 14:23

Tried not dry!!

nutelladipper · 12/11/2014 14:22

Congrats to those bfp. Hugs to those who AF showed or are struggling.

I got a opk positive on Monday which is great. Now much to people then dtd? We had on Saturday night, positive Monday so dry Monday night and again Tuesday. Should we try again?

X

victoria401 · 12/11/2014 13:39

I think you need to see a lady doctor, might be more understanding and sympathetic. I got sent away when I pushed for tests after 9 months. Didn't have the guts to go back until 15months ttc. All the tests me and hubby had on nhs which took us up to a referral took 9 months with all the faffing and waiting and chasing. A few private tests if you can afford it sounds good.

Number3cometome · 12/11/2014 13:34

Dozygirl he sounds like a right treat wanker

Is there another doc at the same surgery?

Say your hair is falling out or something equally PCOS relevant and you may get somewhere? -we have to do what we have to do

Dozygirl · 12/11/2014 13:20

I was trying to push for progesterone tests as I don't see how that's hard or expensive for them to do and I don't see why u should wait if it looks like u have a problem. He was only gonna be concerned if I was having spotting throughout my cycle though not just in the lead up to my period. And I think it was an easy option for him to say it was down to an infection I had absolutely no signs of infection last cycle so it shouldn't have made a difference. I'll do this though to rule it out and then go back and ask for tests but try with a different doctor. I think spotting from as early as 7dpo must mean a problem but I won't know for sure unless I have tests. Hate doctors :(

Number3cometome · 12/11/2014 12:59

Dozygirl
Push for a progesterone test - they have no reason to deny that, it's cheap but will give a good idea of what could be happening.
Privately think it is about £100

Genni and Cariad I know how you feel, all of our friends are now starting to get pregnant and with relative ease. It feels a long old journey for us so far as we haven't had even a sniff of a pregnancy so don't even know if it's possible for us. I think you have to try not to focus on other people even though it's hard. Everyone's ttc journey is different and maybe it will take longer for us or perhaps we will need assistance which is disappointing but I'm sure we will all get there in the end. I'm sure our friends will have struggles to face maybe in other areas of their lives or with things that have been fairly straightforward for us. Just trying my best to look at things as positively as I can even though it's hard and very disappointing at times.

Dozy, sorry to hear that your gp won't do the tests. Would you consider going private for peace of mind? I know at my clinic it's only £30 for a progesterone test. If it did show up an area of concern you could then take it back to your gp. Although I do agree you shouldn't have to pay for these things but sometimes it's just so much easier than all the waiting and faffing around on the nhs

Really sorry for everyone that AF has got and wishing you a Xmas bfp.

Congrats again to number3

TerrysNo3 · 12/11/2014 11:22

cariad hugs to you, I know the longer I am ttc-ing for, the more cross I am getting about my ectopic and my body but it was nothing we could do and if we can get pregnant once then we can do it again. Stay positive! Smile

number3 that's awesome news that you haven't had to wait as long for your third. 3 is the magic number right! Grin

Well I am a bit confused and peeved. 7dpo here and my temp dropped a bit today and I have AF cramps which is really weird, I have never had an LP less than 11 days before Confused Hmm

victoria401 · 12/11/2014 10:50

Beautician I'm not testing unless I'm late. Been ttc 2 years next month.Am thinking why should this month be any different? This is just one last ditch attempt before starting fertility treatment in the New Year :-(

Just bought some ginger biscuits to stop the nausea, and because I love biscuits! :-D

Hugs genni, I know how you feel hun x

dozy that sucks re the tests.

gennibugs · 12/11/2014 10:30

Morning all.

keeping a low profile as ttc is getting to me right now.

number massive congratulations! wonderful news!!

cariad sending you un mumsnetty hugs. totally identify with what you are saying - we feel totally left behind too. We are the only ones out of our friends not pg or with babies and slowly we are being left out of stuff. Everyone has moved on. We started ttc long before some of them too. It's very very hard.

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 12/11/2014 10:17

Victoria with previous pregnancies I've always experienced symptoms early I think a lot of people do. My chest seems bigger too DH has commented a few times. Mine could be because I've come off the pill so my hormones are changing. When are you testing?
