Can anyone help. I'm easily confused and today is no exception! I've been doing opks since cd 9 and still no positive. I'm using cb digital ones. On thurs I had fertile cm and today Ewcm. I'm cd12. My cycle range from 25-32 days.
Do I assume the opks aren't working? I've never used them before.
I'll crack on and dtd later anyway but I'm confused.

kissinggiraffe · 08/11/2014 15:32

Sorry for so many bfns. Let's hope it's just a bit too early....

I was one of those annoying people who laughed at how easy it was to get pregnant. Then I ttc baby 3 and I could not believe how stupid and naive I had been. It was honestly the most stressful, heartbreaking and lonely time. It does seem like no one understands.
It took about 3 years but DC3 is the most wonderful child and was well worth the wait. really hoping #4 doesn't take anywhere near that long tho

I feel super old today. My oldest applied for college Shock I can't believe she's old enough for that....

cd19, 5dpo so not much to report apart from the squillions of symptoms that only really exist in my head

angelaham · 08/11/2014 15:32

I was speaking to my sister in law last week telling her since coming off the pill my cycles has been all over the place and that we were trying for a baby, her response was that she had gone to the doctors to see if she could try for a baby as she is on medication for epilepsy and that could affect her if she got pregnant , she then said that she had a feeling she would get pregnant easily once she came off her tablets , that made me feel like a total failure as she knows we are struggling, wish I hadn't said anything to her,

victoria401 · 08/11/2014 13:03

Nice pampering session thanks! Had a hydropeel facial thingy. Kept my eyes shut and relaxed into it. Got my monthly reflexology session on Tuesday too. I chat to the lady about all my woes too so it doubles as a counselling session! Highly recomended!

spinningirl10 · 08/11/2014 12:30

Boo sorry for the bfn. Maybe too early?

Cariad, big hugs for you. We all get down sometimes with ttc especially when we've been trying for a while and everyone around is announcing pregnancies. I really hope you get your sticky bfp soonThanks

Victoria, enjoy your pampering even with the wet jeans.

Frolic, haha I will think positive thoughts and I will get my positive opk soon, Monday would be fab as we can dtd lots from tomorrow onwardsSmile

I'm training until 7pm for my new job, still don't know my hours so I'll have to find them out when I start at 1pm to be sure I can do it! No line on an opk before I came out, hoping I might get a faint one later.

Have a good day everyoneGrin

twinky12 · 08/11/2014 12:11

Just catching up sorry to all those who got bfn, fx your testing to early. Only 3dpo for me way to early.
cariad I have also lost friends over the no child situation been ttc 10 month and it does really get you down. Your time will come Smile

Boobear1983 · 08/11/2014 11:58

Did my first test today....bfn. oh well. AF is two days late now but i guess it's my cycle settling down. Onwards and upwards!

Cariad2014 · 08/11/2014 11:57

Bovnydazzler - I might be wrong, but I always count the first day after I think I ov'd as 1dpo, and treat the day of ov as cd whatever. So, in your case, if you think you ov'd on Thursday, you'd be 2dpo today.

Your friend's reaction to getting upduffed on cycle 1 is sadly all too common - what I find really hard is that try as they may, people who've never had it tough on the ttc front just have no idea what it's like to go through months of disappointment and heartache, and almost invariably end up saying the wrong things. That's one of the reason I love these threads so much. It makes me realise I'm not alone and that what I'm feeling is (for the most part) perfectly normal.

Bovnydazzler · 08/11/2014 11:43

Morning
Thanks Cariad
I'm so lucky to have an awesome DS and definitely didn't realise quite the emotional trauma month after month of those for whom it wasn't happening. I'm still relatively recently TTC compared to some (9 months TTC) and definitely didn't expect this amount of stress. Got nothing but sympathy and hugs for those trying far longer.

My NCT friend whose now heavily pregnant with DC2 was saying that her and her DH we're disappointed they conceived 1st month as they wanted more of a go at it! I had no words!!

Ridiculous question... But to confirm on dates... If I had a +OPK on Wednesday, should I assume ovulation was on Thursday, therefore I am now 2dpo? Or do you count the ovulation date as 1dpo?

MrsExtraOrdinary · 08/11/2014 11:32

Hi blueberry, I'm 9+2 wks. Got my nuchal scan booked for 1st December. Providing all goes to plan. Had a couple of better days this week, but energy levels are at zilch! Satsumas are the best thing in the world currently. Grin

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 08/11/2014 11:17

Toots most beauty treatments are helpful when ttc as they help you relax. Maybe not waxing though, although a good bikini wax may help with the DH wanting to dtd haha. Massage is fab, plus reflexology.

Interesting that so many are saying about pregnacare. It definitely wasn't for me. At the moment I am just taking frolic acid but I think I'm going to try the sanatogen one.

tootssw17 · 08/11/2014 11:01

Have been thinking some serious thoughts today.

What if the boys swimmers are as rubbish at directions as they can be/are and don't stop for advice ?

Wondering if Amazon sell micro maps for the swimmers - like a treasure map... Here be eggs ? X marks the Fallopian tube straits?

Sorry about all the baby bombing - if I hear one more time- oops just happened when I stopped taking it-then I can't be responsible for action I take( mostly unfollowing and pulling faces!)

Hope the beautician was great- such a good idea! What did you have done?
I heard that hot stone massage is good as relieves tension and warms up the lower back- anyone tried it?

Fx for legit poas ladies. Slap on wrist to those like me peeing £££ down the toilet for no reason other than need to take action as tww lack of action sucks.

Interesting about pregnacare I am
Taking it and despite nuclear coloured wee and clearer skin no noticeable impact. Anyone seen any stats on why it impacts- surely vitamins can't make such an impact?

And fx for all the ladies dtd this weekend! Cold weather means lots of cuddles and duvet time so fx for everyone.

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 08/11/2014 10:59

I know many pregnancy success stories unfortunately preceded by heartache. But it does happen. For some of us it's just a longer journey than others.

Cariad2014 · 08/11/2014 10:54

Thanks Beautician - your poor friend, so glad she has a big family of her own now. Stories like that give me hope.

Waves at my fellow Welshies Frolic and Lucie.

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 08/11/2014 10:50

Cariad it will happen for you I'm sure try not to give up hope. Easy for me to say as I know how extremely lucky I am to have 3dcs already.

However, my best friend was not so lucky she has endometriosis. After a year of ttc she fell pregnant with dc1 and had a normal healthy pregnancy. Between dc 1 & 2 she had four mc with the last one being so far along she had to give birth. Two more mc and she had dc3 and then two years later dc4. So it is possible Smile

tessiegirl · 08/11/2014 10:37

Cariad Thanks

tessiegirl · 08/11/2014 10:29

Morning ladies!
I feel for all of you trying to resist to POAS.
I am waiting for AF to turn up next weekend so fx Pregnacare won't have messed up my cycles then its on to next month really seriously ttc!! DH watch out! Wink

lucieloos · 08/11/2014 10:23

Another Welshie here Grin

Cariad2014 · 08/11/2014 10:23

Thanks for your lovely messages ladies. This ttc malarkey is really tough isn't it, not that they teach you that at school!

victoria401 · 08/11/2014 10:15

Aww are you Welsh too frolic, I assumed cariad was from the name! Welshies in this together :-)

Frolicacid · 08/11/2014 10:11

spinning, my chart only looks good now I am blatantly ignoring the massive spike I had on day 10 or whenever. You have a dip going on ATM - I reckon you might ov in the next few days. A big, strong soy bean egg! Do some visualisation involving a huge, stong, fertile egg popping nicely out of it's folicle. Try to stop stressing and tempt the egg out with lovely, positive thoughts! feel free to slap me if I've gone to hippy dippy, but I love that stuff
Oh, and keep dtd!!

I hope you have a good day at work blueberry. I'm doing the cleaning.

Where are you off to blue? It's horrible here today - I would happily jet off for some sun if we could.

cariad, Never apologise for your feelings. We are all here to support each other. We have also had a few friends 'move on' when kids have arrived. We've never really been bothered, as we weren't sure until this year that we wanted children. We always used to enjoy thinking about all the things we could do that they couldn't and laugh at their complaining. Now we are ttc I want to tell them to stop bloody whining and enjoy the family they are lucky to have. We also have a million pregnant friends ATM. It is shit, but you will get your family one way or another. You are not a failure. The universe is just taking it's time to match you with the right baby. Cariad mawr, hygs a cofion I chdi o Gymru xxx

toothachereturns · 08/11/2014 10:08

Cariad Sad Thanks Brew Biscuit

victoria401 · 08/11/2014 10:05

Urgh got drenched walking to the beauty salon! Sat in the waiting bit with stiff jeans! Not going to be a relaxing treatment led there shivering! Plus side of not having a child yet, I can still afford to pamper myself. I know things are tough cariad, we've been ttc for 2 years, watching friends have babies, who are now toddlers! Give yourself treats and spend time with your dp and have lie ins x our time will come and when it does it will be even more special.

Cariad2014 · 08/11/2014 10:02

Proof - most of my friends know about the ectopic, my cp earlier in the year and by default, the fact that we're ttc, and they're conscious that being in the middle of a baby boom is difficult for us. They're sympathetic but sadly nothing they say or do will stop us being "that couple", and I can't help but feel that we're being left behind.

tootssw17 · 08/11/2014 09:57

Big massive hugs cariad xxx
