Any chance not time!

Good luck for your fertility appointment tomorrow Spinning. Hope it goes well.

Sorry to hear AF arrived MrsG. Re: DH's parents' visit, if I don't get upduffed this cycle, I'm going to be in a similar predicament for the next two cycles (although the issue will be my parents and not DH's). Sadly, in my case booking into a hotel isn't really an option for various reasons. Am hoping that we can just dtd really early in the morning whilst my parents are still asleep (although the reality is that my Dad in particular only needs about 5 hours of sleep a night, so going to bed at 2am and waking at 7 is par for the course for him, so the chances of us getting up before my parents is slim...)

Part of me feels that I am now an adult and if they hear us, it's hardly the end of the world. They'd never mention it, and they know we're ttc (I had to tell them after my ectopic because DH wanted to confide in his family). I am quite worried that when it comes to it though, DH might be utterly turned off. If all else fails, we might end up having to be super clinical and get DH to ejaculate into some soft cups, although I'm really hoping to avoid this if we can.

It's hardly ideal though. If a hotel is an option for DP's parents, then I would definitely go down that route. Alternatively, is there any time you can move their visit?

spinningirl10 · 02/11/2014 17:48

Blue sorry af arrived but could next fertile time be on holiday? That would be fabGrin

MrsG, sorry af arrived but yay for longer lp.

Victoria, sod what the opks say, dtdWink

We've got our first fertility appointment tomorrow morning! Actually feeling quite anxious about it now. I was just reading the letter and it's in the ante natal department!! You would think they would keep the 2 separate wouldn't you, that must be very difficult for some ladies to sit in a waiting room with pregnant ladies.

Dozygirl · 02/11/2014 17:44

And blue sorry for af for u too. Flowers

I had the best night last night being a pumpkin. There was uv lights in the bar so my orange wig literally glowed wherever I stood. Gotta be some sort if good sign haha. Anyway it distracted me from impending AF. No further blood but I have a feeling it's coming unfortunately. Onwards and upwards. Won't know when next BFP date is until it arrives full force.

Dozygirl · 02/11/2014 17:40

Awww mrsG no good about AF but high five for the longer lp. I may up my b6 this month after your success.

MrsExtraOrdinary · 02/11/2014 17:04

MrsG I'm sorry af has arrived, but hooray for longer lp. I think half the battle is trying to find the right balance for our bodies, whatever that may be. I'd go with quick doggies on both days! Wink

MissMrsMummy · 02/11/2014 17:03

Ps also good tht you get 2 chances on the Pregvember bus!

MissMrsMummy · 02/11/2014 17:03

Oh no, sorry MrsG but high 5 on your 12 day LP!

Re: family. It would def spoil your chances of dtd! Encouraging them to stay at a hotel is a good idea but not sure what excuse you could give?! What does DP say?

MrsGingerbread · 02/11/2014 16:47

Oh dear. Af has arrived, so I am out. Not surprised but delighted at lp. Twelve days! High five! :)

Luckily I get to stay on the bus - woohoo!

So I new stats...

MrsGingerbread, 32, ttc #1, cycle 9 (mcs 3 and 4), BFP due 29th Nov

Ladies - dh's parents are due to stay with us on what looks like the two most important days this cycle. We always have to pay for a hotel when we visit them. What do I do, hope that doesn't prevent us dtd ( I think it might :/ ) or push for them to stay locally under some kind of 'we are sorting out the loft / we are decorating' pretense?

MissMrsMummy · 02/11/2014 16:18

victoria and tooth I usually get ov pains too and a bit bloated. I tend to find I get it on alternate sides though.

MissMrsMummy · 02/11/2014 16:17

Sorry to hear that blue but great you're feeling positive and holiday will be lovely! Wht a great time to go abroad and soak up some vitamin D! Will keep you happy all winter!

victoria401 · 02/11/2014 16:06

I get 2 or sometimes even 3 (!!) days of pain when I ov so can never pinpoint which out the days is the actual release! Mine is always always on the left, really sharp pains which is sometimes strong enough to make me sit, stand or walk funny! I also get pushing on bladder feeling and bubbles feeling across the rest of my tummy, most unpleasant.

toothachereturns · 02/11/2014 15:56

spinning Eek!!! We dtd yesterday so there will be swimmers lying in wait. Grin Grin
I get quite sharp ov pains. Sometimes they make me gasp if I stand up to fast. It Def feels like that. Smile

Blue500 · 02/11/2014 15:52

Sorry for bfn blueberry but you're not out until af arrives!

Af turned up for me todayHmm but I'm feeling positive about the next cycle - dh and I are off to Portugal next weekend so I'm hoping we'll be able to relax for a week and there will be no stressful exams or colds getting in our way - and so it begins again! I'm keeping my seat on the bus though as next bfp /af should be due 30th Nov so I'll be crossing over on the Nov/ Dec bus.
Fx for the rest of you this month x

victoria401 · 02/11/2014 15:50

Now I've got the biggest blob of ewcm ever! tmi what's going on?! Jumping dh tonight whether he likes it or not and whatever the stupid opk of the day says.

I always get ov pains on the left tooth but its the same place as you'd get trapped wind or constipation pains (which I get quite a lot). I get the two pains confused! I often wonder about my right ovary.... I know its there as I've been scanned!

spinningirl10 · 02/11/2014 15:47

Tooth, it is possible to ovulate twice although not very common. I believe that's when fraternal twins are madeGrin dtdWink

toothachereturns · 02/11/2014 15:39

Sorry blueberry Sad . Chin up though, you are ovulating so maybe this was a warm up month! Smile

3DPO here and I'm getting proper cramps! Could I be ovulating again??? Ov pains a few days ago were on the right.... today I'm getting the same pains on the left. Hmm

MissMrsMummy · 02/11/2014 15:10

How confusing spinning!

spinningirl10 · 02/11/2014 15:05

Victoria, the opks are frustrating! I'm on cd10 and usually get a positive on cd11 so by now I'd be getting faint lines but I've got no line at all whereas 2 days ago I had faint lines! I temp so if I missed ov it should show and after a temp dip today I don't think I have missed it. Just the soy playing games I think Grin

I would dtd just incase and keep testing.

MrsGingerbread · 02/11/2014 14:20

Sorry blueberry but remember that the ov is a great sign. Xx

Dozygirl · 02/11/2014 13:49

boosk my control line is always strong and shows up instantly like hpt tests. The other line then develops over time to dark or faint. Post a pic??

Orangeisthenewbanana · 02/11/2014 13:31

Sorry about the bfn blueberry

MissMrsMummy · 02/11/2014 13:22

Sorry blueberry

Exciting for you boobear fx!

MissMrsMummy · 02/11/2014 13:21

jdear that sounds logical but you're right! it does seem like a lot of pills!

What I usually do when I have a slightly embarrassing/TTC-related/stupid question is ring a chemist and ask. They always put the pharmacist on the phone and it saves and face-to-face embarrassment or a queue of impatient customers listening in!

nettle86 · 02/11/2014 13:09

Sorry to hear that blueberry. Victoria used an opk so pretty sure u ov'd around cd14 but am not charting so came be sure. Wishing you lots of luck you never know what you're bodies trying to tell you so you may have ov'd as normal.
