Hello all. It seems the November bus is in full swing.

Sorry for your bfn Blueberry.

TWW here and so I am avoiding thinking about anything. Cd5. Yawn - it's so tedious! I might make a game of symptom spotting with DH. I feel dehydrated today - symptom!

DastardlyDachshund · 02/11/2014 23:51

Hi Blueberry (It's TheGrandHighWitch under nc here), I have been keeping an eye on the November bus and saw your BFN which I am sorry has happened btw. I didn't want to de-lurk on here as I am not quite up to it this month, but felt I could offer some words as a former clomid lady if it helps at all. I was going to pm you but felt that qualified as stalking Blush.

I am not currently on clomid as I am fairly certain I am ovulating most months now but dc1 was conceived on my first cycle of clomid after 18 or so previous cycles of nothing. DC2 was conceived on cycle 4 (3 cycles of lower 50mg dose, 4th cycle dose increased to 100mg on dr's advice). Being put on clomid the second time followed a 6 month wait while we tried without 'to see what happens' eyeroll so 9 months before that elusive BFP in month 10.

Incidentally (and I don't mean to get your hopes up) but my BFP for dc1 was on roughly 15dpo (not charting), and my BFP for dc2 was on 14dpo. Both were faint lines even on a superdrug test so I am one of the ladies who gets her positive later than most. FX this is the same for you in this instance but if not then there is definitely hope for you getting good news soon if clomid works as well for you as it did for me.

I'm sorry my message is rambling and especially so if it is at all unwelcome. I saw you were down today and wanted to offer some support from someone who has been through what you are enduring now.

IamEvan · 02/11/2014 23:38

will keep u posted ... Please please please let this be my month Hmm

Frolicacid · 02/11/2014 23:26

Thanks mrse. We have a running joke most weeks now about calling the baby a silly name related to whatever shit life is throwing at us that week. We are big jokers anyway and really believe in having a laugh about these things.

cariad - that is dedication! We are so not morning people in this house.

Well done treacle. I'm empathising with you tonight about doing it when you can't really be bothered! Looks like we will be 2ww buddies if temp confirms my ovulation tomorrow.

blueberry, I second everything theproof said upthread. Maybe try a different gp? Mindfulness is an excelent way of improving our resilience. There are loads of courses popping up across the country as more and more people get wise to it's benefits. As a mental health practitioner I highly recommend looking into it. Lots of the courses seem to be free as well.

Treaclepie19 · 02/11/2014 23:05

Oh gosh cariad I couldn't do that.
I am not a morning person!!! :p

Cariad2014 · 02/11/2014 23:04

Woop woop Treacle. Good work! Have set my alarm early so that we can dtd in the morning.

Treaclepie19 · 02/11/2014 22:48

Ok we dtd. Glad you kept me on track ladies :p

Hi missmrs, lovely to see you :)

sm2012 · 02/11/2014 22:46

I've only just started doing opks (cheap internet bought ones) and have found they are positive for a couple of days. As I get nearer ovulation time I do two a day to track when the surge starts.

Those with short luteal phases, do you take B6 and if so how much? I've started taking the Boots own pre-conception vitamins and it has B vitamins in but I don't know if it's enough to have the desired effect.

I feel foolish having said I'm getting fed up already on cycle 3 when some people have been ttc for much much longer, you most definitely deserve your BFPs.

For the list my stats are:

sm2012, 35, ttc#3, cycle 3, BFP due 25th November

MissMrsMummy · 02/11/2014 22:26

frolic that's commitment, good on you and your dp!

blueberry so sorry you haven't been supported by your GP. In my experience of stress/anxiety my normal GP is great but I had to see a different one once and he was awful, left me feeling so ill just from the appointment. It can make such a difference so maybe try to talk to someone else Thanks

TheProofIsInThePudding · 02/11/2014 22:18

That's a shame, Blueberry. You could contact your local Mind group or look in to a private counsellor if the GP hasn't been of any help. Could a different doctor or even a nurse be more sympathetic and help you to get the help you need? There are a lot of mindfulness resources online and in books which you could explore too.

Frolic that's so funny! So glad you smashed it tonight. Well done dh!

Frolicacid · 02/11/2014 22:10

Managed a quicky! DH is a hero and if we make a baby tonight we shall name it snotbag soybean!

Thepurplegiraffe · 02/11/2014 22:06

Keep going Treacle, you never know which will be the one that matters!

Treaclepie19 · 02/11/2014 22:01

Hope all goes well spinning :)

Hope it's just too early for you blueberry.

Ugh cd12 and I really can't be bothered to dtd.
Last month we did loads and timed it perfectly and still nothing so what's the point? :/
But will I feel bad tomorrow if I get a solid smiley?!?

Dozygirl · 02/11/2014 21:55

Definitely a positive frolic. I get so excited when I get my positive opk lol. Unless i haven't time to dtd then I get mad

xBlueberry88x · 02/11/2014 21:29

I would proof but if you knew what the doctors were like down here you would understand why I havent.
I did mention it to my gynae doc but he didnt seem bothered

frolic definitely a positive get dtd!

spinning yeah im not sure what they would say lol maybe leave it out for now.

TheProofIsInThePudding · 02/11/2014 21:21

spinning I would definitely talk to them about taking soy. The more information they have, the more likely that they will be able to help you. Good luck at the appointment!

Blueberry - you mentioned feeling depressed earlier and I've been getting the vibe from your posts that you're finding your (long and arduous) TTC journey really difficult to cope with at the moment. I would urge you to speak to your GP about how you are feeling, they might be able to help.

Frolicacid · 02/11/2014 21:17

Thanks blueberry

cariad, maybe I could make some money pimping her out to couples who are ttc? She is a bit old and smelly, mind you. I can't imagine many people welcoming her into their homes / beds. But she is very cute!

Yay for positive opk's wanttobe. DH is a river of snot tonight. It's going to take a lot of effort from both sides!

TheProofIsInThePudding · 02/11/2014 21:16

Hi frolic I found that the control line on my IC OPKs wasn't as strong as I expected. I did a Google image search and most of them looked similar! I wondered if it was because my urine was too dilute. I assumed that as long as the test line is the same colour (or darker) than the control it's positive.

At the start of the dreaded TWW here, does anyone have any tips on keeping sane?!

wanttobeamummyin2015 · 02/11/2014 21:12

frolic that's what my positive OPKs look like :)

spinningirl10 · 02/11/2014 21:08

Thank you Blueberry for that information, not sure if I should admit to taking soy, they may not approve!
I know how long you've been trying and it sucks, I really hope you get you don't have much longer to waitThanks

Frolicacid · 02/11/2014 21:03

Here is my opk from earlier boosk. I'm pretty sure it's a positive, as the test line seems stronger than the control. I think it got even darker last month. I temp as well, so should be able to confirm if I did ovulate.
Thank you for asking about frolicdog. She is loads better and back to her normal, crazy self - just as the shitty weather sets in Grin

I was just thinking what on earth newbies think when they come across a thread where people talk of taking crack epo and dog supplements to help with conception!! Not to mention dildocam's! I think we must sound a little crazy!

Let's get Pregvember off with a bang! November BFP bus (thread 2)
Cariad2014 · 02/11/2014 20:58

Loving the thought of Frolicdog's magical conception inducing/ ov regulating powers. If this works for you this cycle Frolic - would you consider lending her to the rest of us on a time-share basis?
