Just reading back so this has prob been answered but sm2012 I think you need 100mg of B6 for it to make a difference. There's not that much in the conception vits.

Hi Treacle!

spinningirl10 · 03/11/2014 15:04

Haha MrsE, love that your dc were onto you and they were taking bets, how funnyGrin so pleased that your Mum is happy for you. Hopefully it will get easier for you now that they all know, they can help you Grin

Frolicacid · 03/11/2014 15:03

I'm glad it all went well today spinning and that your dr knows all about the magical conception aid that is Frolic dog! She is working hard today on my conception plan by laying in bed with DH to try and hasten the departure of his badly timed cold. We will know he is in recovery when he can smell her farts again!

Yay for a supportive family response mrsE. That reay must be a load off your mind.

Slight temp rise for me this morning, but I don't think it was enough to show I ovulated yesterday. I haven't opk'd yet today, but am hoping for a negative as DH is still snotty and I feel the first stirrings of cystitis. Not very romantic!

MrsExtraOrdinary · 03/11/2014 14:57

Blueberry my eldest son (16) shot straight out his chair shouting get in, dd and dsd now owe him £10 each as he knew! They'd been going through the calendar nosey Parkers! I tell you nothing is sacred once you have dc!

Sunbathing twins may have pushed mum over the edge so yes, really pleased it's one. She's finally going to teach me crochet after 20 years of me nagging her! Grin

MrsE Haha who won the bet??
Glad your mum is happy with everything and you can now relax a bit!!

sm2012 · 03/11/2014 14:38

I'm enjoying reading all the posts, keeping me optimistic and just knowing others are going through the same helps. I hate being at the start of a cycle. We're going to try the Sperm Meets Egg Plan this month so our campaign for #3 starts on Thursday!

I think keeping positive is key which is much easier said than done!

MrsExtraOrdinary · 03/11/2014 14:36

Spinning glad your apt went well. At least that's out the way. I'm not sure I'm going to fess up to my soy dabble when I book in.

In other news we told our dc last night who all knew and have been in cahoots for months about us ttc. They found the ov sticks vitamins the lot. And had bets riding on when we'd actually succeed. All delighted even dss. So I got brave and wrote my mum an email. After all that worry all year, she is completely delighted. And has started knitting. I got that completely wrong. But sooo relieved I haven't got to hide it under a jumper from her. She read the whole email about all the care plan etc and is very reassured. Phew!

Afternoon ladies,

Back to work today after a week off boooo!!

Spinning Glad the appointment went well. Im not surprised she hadnt heard about the soy the docs dont seem to be up on much lol. Interesting about the conception tablets but after the pregnacare one messing with my cycle ive avoided them!

Dozy Fx its not AF coming

Quietly Id like to think so and I tell everyone else that but im sure shes coming!! lol

Welcome Beatician

Well 14dpo today nothing much happening lots of water cm but thats about it....had srabby pains last night and thought oooo lightening vag lol

spinningirl10 · 03/11/2014 14:26

Dozy, sorry it looks like af is soon to arrive Thanks

Terry and Genni, funny that our temps are all a bit odd this month.
Terry, I didn't have the scan was told on here that I might. That will be in the new year year now. Just to check everything is working as it should be.
I'd have actually quite liked it today as it would have shown if I had a nice big egg in there Grin I'm getting a bit twitchy that it's cd11 and not a whiff of a line on an opk! Soy must be delaying it, I guess that can only be a good thing and we're dtd eod.

Not sure how dp will get on with his sperm sample! He has to pre book the time slot of 1hr and then he has to get it to the hospital within an hour of producing it. Hospital is 50 minute drive from our house so it looks like he'll be sat in the hospital toilets doing itBlush he suffers from dtd on demand so he said he'll need my help!!
He was quite surprised during the chat at how well I know my cycles and all the information I could give her. He told the doc that he thinks I should relax more and the doc said I never say that to ladies because it's very hard and when you're keeping track of your cycles and taking pills and peeing on sticks it's like a full time job......think that's made him realise how much I'm doing to try and get our bfp.

She also told him to reduce his caffeine intake, he drinks at least 6 cups of coffee a day sometimes double that. She says it can affect implantation if a man drinks a lot of coffee!

Oh and yes she mentioned frolic dog, that was top tip of the day. Apparently he's trending on Twitter and is available to rent at a daily rate Grin

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 03/11/2014 14:21

Hi can I join in. We are ttc dc4, we have 3 ds's. I came off the pill last month and we were going to wait for ttc until after Christmas. I've just started a new job. We figured why wait. I've got pregnant pretty much straight away before but who knows.

I haven't lost all my weight from ds3 18 months so I'm a little worried about getting huge if it happens quickly.

Did she mention frolicdog at all as an aid to ttc? If yes was it walking him, hugging, sleeping with him on feet etc? Wink

Oh and it's the conceptions ones.

spinningirl10 · 03/11/2014 13:07

Sunbathing, she said take a combined pill, she said any of the brands are fine as they all contain the same thing that reduces mc. I don't want to take pregnacare so I'm off to boots after lunch to see what they haveGrin

Oh and Genni, she hadn't heard of soy so was going to look it up. The concern she had was that it could thin my lining. I asked her to ring me if she thought I shouldn't take it Grin

TheProofIsInThePudding · 03/11/2014 12:54

Glad your appointment went well spinning Do tell us what your doctor finds out about soy!

Paracetamol is absolutely fine in pregnancy toots. They haven't done enough research on ibuprofen to say one way or another, therefore the recommendation is to avoid it.

Dozy good to hear that you've avoided UTIs this month. I've only had a couple but it was really miserable. Keep drinking that water and peeing before and after DTD. And ALWAYS wipe front to back, ladies!

spinningirl10 · 03/11/2014 12:53

Just skimmed back quickly.

Victoria, I know we were very lucky get a referral so quickly and I was telling dp how long some of you had waited.
She did say I should take a different vitamin that has folic acid in it. Any thing like pregnacare, it has something in it that reduces miscarriage by 43%!!!! Not heard that on here before so thought I would share.

gennibugs · 03/11/2014 12:46

dozy I'd avoid the home test - as Victoria says there is so much it can't tell you! Best get one done by your gp if you can.

gennibugs · 03/11/2014 12:45

Glad it went well spinning. Interesting that she didn't know much about soy - did she say to keep taking it?

I second the normal well man vits - they seem to have everything needed. DH takes his religiously bless him Grin

victoria401 · 03/11/2014 12:34

Oh yeah spinning! Glad the appoint went ok. You must be in a postcode where the GP just refers u to clinic. We had to have 2 lots of bloods, 2 sa's plus we both had to be tested for std's and fill out a mountain of paperwork, including future child welfare and entire family and ttc history! All that lot took 8 months before we could see the fertility guys and all had to be via the GP before they accept referrals!

victoria401 · 03/11/2014 12:29

quietly I got my dh on wellman vits, not the conception ones as the normal ones have all the stuff for spermatogenesis in anyway. They are 3 boxes for £10 in Asda, bargain! Got my dh on them after we had a suboptimal sa in May, the re-test in august was normal in all parameters! Had to be the vits right?

dozy I wouldnt bother with the home test hun. It only measures count not anything that actually really matters like motility and morphology. See a doc if you are concerned. They might not send him for a test if you're not ttc more than 12months (or 6 if you're over 35). Can't remember your stats sorry!

Dozygirl · 03/11/2014 11:13

toots only take paracetamol for headache. I got told by gp when I had uti's in the tww not to take ibuprofen.

I'm thankful this month that I only got the slightest hint of a UTI one day and then nothing for the whole month so I'm so so pleased about that. Have suffered so badly in the first 3 cycles so that's one thing to smile about Smile
