twinky12 · 04/11/2014 16:30

Yeah #1, 1 unsuccessful pg last may. Just been reading through the thread trying to pick up on some of the lingo aha. I'm on CD 12.

spinningirl10 · 04/11/2014 16:23

Welcome twinkyGrin

Ah yes Bluesky, your username is after your job. I would love to travel for a living, I'm sure your job is hard work though and not half as glamorous as the picture in my head Grin

Well I have a little creamy cm today, maybe this is a sign that I will ov at some point, 2 ic opks and a cb opk now today and not even a faint second line, it's quite boring now! Grin

victoria401 · 04/11/2014 15:36

Hope you're ok toots I'm a bit of a fainter myself and its so embarrassing in public. I always think of fainting as a symptom tho as it happened in the film Sliding Doors!

Welcome to the madhouse twinky!

ohlordyplordy · 04/11/2014 15:09

You're in the right place twinky. Welcome aboard :)
Are you ttc your first child?

twinky12 · 04/11/2014 15:01

Hello all just joined today, hope I'm ok to join this thread? If not point me in the right direction Smile been ttc 10 month now, haven't told any1 we are even trying. So thought id reach out online Smile since I'm losing hope aha. nearing ov over the next few days. Sending baby dust to u all good luck.

lucieloos · 04/11/2014 14:22

Dozy if I were you I would get your progesterone levels tested either via your gp or privately. Spotting for several days before af arrives can indicate low progesterone but this can be easily treated by your doctor. I think it's worth getting checked out rather than plodding on another 6 months only to find out something's not quite right.

Dozygirl · 04/11/2014 14:10

I did actually have a quick little search for acupuncture in my area while I was in the 2ww so I guess I can start enquiring now. Just hoping it's not too expensive! I saw a van with a picture of a pregnant lady on it a few months back that looked like it was advertising fertility but I couldnt remember what it was called. It looked like it was perfect for what I wanted tho. Anyway I certsinly think anything like that is worth a try. Thanks ladies. I just want them reset back to how they were.

gennibugs · 04/11/2014 13:56

bluesky I understand your user name now! very apt! baby clothes make me all emotional too.

lucie get well soon. I have that book in my Amazon basket, can never decide whether to get it or not.

These buses are a lifesaver. I'm so glad that I'm not the only one who after months of ttc is suffering from a lack of enthusiasm and slight doom. makes me feel normal! Smile

dozy I would see the doctor. you never know they might be able to help. otherwise I think others have had success with acupuncture like spinning says.

spinningirl10 · 04/11/2014 13:50

Dozy, have you had reflexology or acupuncture? Both can help to regulate your period and stop spotting, might be worth a try.

spinningirl10 · 04/11/2014 13:47

Tessie, I only don't want to take pregnacare because of what I've read on here about it messing up some ladies cycles. I know it's fine for some but as there's other brands on the market I'm going to choose something elseGrin

I don't know whether to get checked out at the doctors about all the spotting I get before AF arrives. It worries me that it can start as early as 7dpo and then just lingers from more than 2 days. AF is slowly on it's way today but it's still not in full force. If it was just 2 days of spotting I wouldn't be concerned but because it is longer than that then I'm wondering if something is wrong. Not really sure what the doctors can do but I need some piece of mind that everything is ok. Can't seem to find much info on doctor Google unfortunately.

lucieloos · 04/11/2014 13:32

I'm off work poorly today but 'taking charge of your fertility' by Toni Weschler has arrived in the post. Wow it's huge, like a text book but it's meant to be really good so going to curl up on the sofa and have a read.

I am also feeling a bit bored of ttc this month. We are on month 9 now and it's the same old stuff. Cd8 here so going to start dtd tonight although still waiting for my positive opk.

Treaclepie19 · 04/11/2014 13:20

I think you're right sunbathing.
I did that last March, said if I wasn't pregnant by July I'd look elsewhere. Then tthat cycle I got pregnant.

Blueskygirl30 · 04/11/2014 13:15

Genni my job is to travel! I work for an airline. It's a great job but it does get in the way of TTC a little bit with being away and time zone changes. I'm in South Africa until tonight and I was looking at some gorgeous little baby grows with giraffes on and actually almost burst into tears in the shop as I got ovulation pain at that same moment and I fear I have really messed up by coming on this trip instead of staying home and DTDing.

Tessie I took pregnacare all month 2 cycles ago, AF was 9 days late on that cycle but I also don't think I ovulated or if I did it was a very late ovulation. It might not have been the pregnacare though but that's the only cycle I've used it and every other cycle has been normal.

Toots the month my friend got pregnant she never got a solid smiley! just lots of flashing ones. The fainting might be a promising sign...although I hope that it doesn't happen to you again!

Cross post Treacle, you are not mememe at all. Just going through a tough time. I know very well how miserable a job can make you. Sounds like a change would be good!

Thepurplegiraffe · 04/11/2014 12:58

Magrat I felt the same as Ohlordy which is partly why I tested when I did. That plus the fact that if I wasn't pregnant I would be able to enjoy my night out without worrying about what I was drinking. Totally up to you. I will be admiring your restraint if you wait till next week.

Treaclepie19 · 04/11/2014 12:54

Thank you so much ladies, i really dont know what I'd do without you all.
I think i need to get out of my job. Just don't know where to start.
As for ttc, we will carry on this month and ill reassess next month.
Really don't reckon I'll ov this month. On my 5th flashing smiley and temps are so erratic.

Anyway, off to have some lunch and will read back in a sec. Don't mean to be so me me me!

StowFrenchy · 04/11/2014 12:39

Hi guys! Can't believe how much I've missed in the last few days! It took me so long to read the whole thing, but was well worth it. I'm relatively chilled this cycle for some reason, trying to take it as it comes... Although I have starting symptom checking today as my super sense of smell seems to be back! (I managed to smell a sandwich in my colleague's closed handbag). Let's wait and see... 10 days to go before POAS!

ohlordyplordy · 04/11/2014 12:29

toots hope you're feeling ok now.
blueberry sorry af got you, but great that you're still on the bus and have another chance in pregvember x.
MaG that sounds pretty promising. I was debating myself about when to test, as I had a cp last cycle too. I think i'd rather test early, then if we have another cp i'd know about it, and if we get to the stage that we need to go to the dr to get some help/ tests we can let them know as it may be useful info. It's a very personal decision though.
It's cd15 here. I usually ov cd 13/14 but only getting faint lines so far on opk. Temp dipped quite low cd13 and has been rising since, but not to usual post ov temps, so don't think I've ov'd and just missed the surge on opks. I think the cp (and associated upset) has maybe pushed back my ov.

tessiegirl · 04/11/2014 11:47

Morning all, wow so much to catch up on from just yesterday!!
Can I just ask - Spinningirl10 I saw that you mentioned you don't want to take Pregnacare, can I ask why that is?
Blueberry you also mentioned you thought Pregnacare messed up your cycles - how long were you taking them for?
I ask because I have been taking the Pregnacare Conception vitamins and I have read so many things from people saying they messed up their cycles and am really worried!!
Just to add Dozygirl - I wouldn't rely on home sperm tests. The other option is to pay yourself for a private test which my DH has just done. We have only just started ttc but he wanted to check how his little swimmers are before we get underway. He had the test done at Harley Street and I think it was about £150 which is a lot but it has helped to give us a bit of reassurance and take a bit of the stress off us wondering especially as DH is that bit older!
