Hey all
My tww starts again today. 4th cycle. Just had 2 full days of positive opks and lots of bd with dh.

So let the crazy symptom spotting begin and the madness that is the tww.

Anyone else in the tww - hoping to hear lots of bfp stories xx

Sam, hope you manage to get an appointment tomorrow. Hopefully you get a blood test so they can let you know what's going on.

Aprilray · 02/11/2014 21:14

I think in the last 11 months DH and I have gone through every combination of DTD...I think DTD every day is hard work so we tend to do it EOD mid cycle.

TheProofIsInThePudding · 02/11/2014 21:04

We did every other day (ish - more like once every three days) until I got a positive OPK. We then did three consecutive days, skipped a day, and did one more for luck. It seemed like a reasonable compromise.

11 more days of waiting for me. Imaginary symptoms today: an itchy left boob.

loopylou1984 · 02/11/2014 20:54

We go for every other day, it tends to get too much if we go for every day, especially if I ovulate late for some reason.

Mumwannabe82 · 02/11/2014 20:39

Well.... Some websites say that doing it everyday doesn't give a man chance to replenish so lower sperm count and they say every other day is more than enough to catch that egg anyway so I tend to go with that! But a lot of couples do get pregnant from doing it every dsy ( maybe he has a higher sperm count anyway) so it depends on your own personal situation I guess XXX

NoArmaniNoPunani · 02/11/2014 20:20

Thanks. What's the best plan for the shagging then? Every day around ovulation or every other day?

Mumwannabe82 · 02/11/2014 19:36

You never know noarmani, any DTD before and during ovulation is good DTD Grin you'll slowly get to understand your body as you go along and you might be a first try, BFP straight away kinda gal xx fx for you xx

loopylou1984 · 02/11/2014 19:27

Noarmani - I don't think you're out of the running yet. The day before ovulation gives you more than a good chance. Fingers crossed for you Smile

loopylou1984 · 02/11/2014 19:25

So still no bfp or af for me... This is so odd.
Calling gp for appointment in the morning.

HairStylistToBoris · 02/11/2014 17:36

Patience - sorry you got your AF. I'm still twiddling my thumbs trying not to invent symptoms. Noarmani - fingers crossed the dates worked for you somehow this month!

NoArmaniNoPunani · 02/11/2014 13:35

Thanks for your response. We just did it day 13 and 14. I guess we need to do it more from day 10-14 next month then

Mumwannabe82 · 02/11/2014 12:52

Hey noarmani, did you DTD on the day you got ewcm? That's the best time for the swimmers to get through easily and also doing it a couple of days before ovulation gives you the best chance. Sounds like your body is right on the money with ewcm first then ov pains xx doing it on day of ovulation is still a good chance though so don't lose hope with what I just said xx hope that helps xx

NoArmaniNoPunani · 02/11/2014 11:09

Can I ask some rookie questions please? I'm so new to this. I had the EWCM about 3 days ago (day 11 of cycle) so assumed I was ovulating then. This morning I have what feels like ovulation pains (day 14) my cycle is usually 26 days. We had sex day 13 and 14. Am I getting this all wrong? I'm not stressing about it, it's our first month.

loopylou1984 · 02/11/2014 11:01

Patiently sorry to hear af got you... As you say though, onwards to the next month! Xx

thisismypassword · 02/11/2014 10:59
  • I was taken not O!
thisismypassword · 02/11/2014 10:59

I'm 7/8 dpo. I literally have no symptoms, boobs aren't sore either. 4/5 dpo O was taken by surprise by a pinch in my lower left abdomen. It only lasted an instant and I've not felt it since. Possibly felt a little tenderness in that area. I would say I couldn't pulled a muscle, but I was sitting down watching TV at the time!

loopylou1984 · 02/11/2014 10:36

Night owl - so far it's been a 3 week wait! Always assumed that when af was finally late I would poas and get a positive! So annoying!
Patiently - we don't have a Lloyd pharmacy where I live! Aghhhh!!

Welcome and good luck to everyone else Smile

Patientlywaiting2014 · 02/11/2014 10:22

Good luck fx i just jUst came on like spotting this morning so I will try again next month and then rejoin you girls, I unless you all have your BFP of course :) xx

Joey0805 · 02/11/2014 08:54

Patientlywaiting - thanks for the tip! Guess where I shall be going this avo?

Now CD29, 11DPO, no symptoms of pregnancy or AF coming (but they seem to be the same!!) so just waiting. Booorrriiinnnggg...

northgoingzax · 02/11/2014 07:04

Hiya - I 'm TTC#2 Cycle 3 8dpo only symptom is very bloated look 5 months pregnant already and trousers hardly fit - but more likely that I'm just getting fatter :( AF due Saturday 8th November so will try and test then. When trying for ds I was going to have a big drinking session 2 days before AF and got a BFN then tested 2 days later and got BFP. SO that suggests that if I tested earlier this time round it won't show up. Best of luck with everyone on the 2ww - let us know what symptoms you have

CrazyCatMomma · 02/11/2014 00:44

Hi guys, watching this thread with interest! Hope you don't mind if I tag along..?

I'm 7dpo after our very first cycle for DC1. Have been tracking my BBT and CM since Feb so think I can tell when ovulation is imminent, but since DTD have bought some clear blue ov tests for cycle #2.

Ever the pessimist..! waves

Mumwannabe82 · 01/11/2014 23:44

Hi everyone, 1DPO today, I hate this bit because there is nothing you can do but wait, wait and wait some more xx think I have figured out that my luteus phase is 12 so AF due on the 12th nov, 7th cycle and first time trying.
Good luck everyone xxx

Nightowlagain · 01/11/2014 23:23

Hi everyone, hope you're all coping ok with the dreaded waiting!

Sam it's so annoying isn't it, I had a month like that when I was a week late which I never am, but BFNs. Then if course I came on.

I'm only 2dpo so not much chance of any symptoms yet, but it doesn't stop me over analysing every little twinge. It's so frustrating! I don't tell DH about my obsessing, I prefer to just keep it to myself. He would get fed up I think!

Anyway, only 12 days to go...

TheProofIsInThePudding · 01/11/2014 22:32

Hello ladies, may I join you? I recognise some familiar names from Pregvember.

I'm due 14th November, so the TWW has just started. Symptoms so far: being grumpy with DH and a slightly upset tummy.

I can't remember who said it, but I completely agree about being a rubbish employee during the TWW! I think the next couple of weeks will be quite busy though, so hopefully that will make them go more quickly.

Patientlywaiting2014 · 01/11/2014 22:22

Hi ladies
I thought I'd share with you the viola p test which you can only buy at Lloyd chemist approx £8 for 2 and they are extra sensitive about 5 mui ! I'm ttc #2 and 4 days late with too many to mention BFN :( however it's never over until the red lady arrives I suppose! Good luck to all x
