For anyone TTC or thinking about TTC with Soy Isoflavones

Disneylandkilledmychildhood · 23/10/2014 21:18

I will be starting soy isoflavones tomorrow, cd 3.

This will be my 11th cycle TTC, with two chemical pregnancies/ early miscarriages @ about 5weeks so far this year already.

I've read up quite a lot on SI, and just at the point now where I'm thinking, what the hell, I'll give it a go!

Anybody else TTC with soy isoflavones?

Newera do you take anything to improve womb lining? I'm sure that a problem for me. My periods are so light and almost painless.

NewEraNewMindset · 01/12/2014 20:40

Forgot to say that DP's sperm results came back 'normal'. Although we don't have the exact numbers yet we are really pleased.

NewEraNewMindset · 01/12/2014 20:39

I will still post on this thread as I'm over-invested in everyone else's cycles lol. So much more interesting than my own!! Wink

I'm on cd 3/4 today. I ordered Fertilecm alongside Fertileaid as it's supposed to help increase EWCM. We shall see!!

Disneylandkilledmychildhood · 01/12/2014 20:30

Haha thanks Boys, I do that too. I might give soy another go next cycle, but just want to do a natural, stress free cycle.

Hi girls. Nice to hear everyone's plans. Am on CD6, last day of soy. I'd love it if we could still hear from you disney and newera as I am now over invested in your TTC journey!

Disneylandkilledmychildhood · 01/12/2014 19:31

Just popping in to say hi. I'm still lurking but have decided not to give soy another go this cycle, I'm just going to do a natural cycle with no supplements etc, no "trying" and no ovulation sticks. The whole ttc thing has driven me mad this past year so giving myself a month off.

Hope you are all well, I will keep you updated.

GoodEgg that's interesting as I'm planning on buying FertilAid for women that has Vitex in it I think. It has pre-natal but also a proprietary blend of herbs including chasteberry, l-arginine, maca etc. I was reading the reviews last night and they were extremely positive. My partner has been taking the mans version and another one alongside called CountBoost.

I was trying to do my sums yesterday and I think we are spending around £350 a month on acupuncture and supplements at the moment. How crazy is that!!!

Just wanted to say a quick thanks to Soloman for helping me make the decision to give Agnus Castus a go. I only managed to take it for 4 days before ov this cycle and it could be coincidence but I got an extra 2 days LP this cycle which is unheard of! The pre AF spotting has started now which is always gutting but I'm going to start AC on cd1 when I get full flow and am feeling positive about next cycle. Let's hope the Xmas atmosphere will help us all get those BFP's! Xx

Hi there,
Just been reading through this thread. A big wave to those I recognise from the buses. I hadn't really given much thought to taking soy as I thought my cycles were fairly regular. Before ttc they were pretty much 29 days like clock work though they had been irregular in the past. Since ttc 30 days is a good cycle, they are more like 32/33 which has me getting my hopes up for a few days even though I get pre AF symptoms. Anyway, think I ovulate around days 17-19 so no concern re my LP but would love to improve egg quality (am 33) and try and bring ov forward a few days.
I'm on CD 22, thought I was 3dpo but FF says 4dpo and who am I to disagree with FF. Going to order some Soy ready for next cycle to tempt fate. I find the 2ww more tolerable too if I have a plan of action for next cycle.
Good luck everyone, will lurk for now and then join in if AF arrives.

NewEraNewMindset · 28/11/2014 22:47

So AF arrived proper this evening. I'm not sure I can class this day 1 of full flow, but I actually managed a longer cycle last month on my own, so am going to give soy a miss for next cycle and see how I get on.

Have ordered some royal jelly and will continue to take EPO throughout ovulation and see if it helps with my EWCM. I normally get one day but this cycle I didn't get any. I have also ordered Preseed so fingers crossed!

Onwards and upwards, good luck everyone xx

Loopy I take ages to get rig of HCG, even when they are at low levels, so for me retesting would probably have proved nothing. However it sounds like a chemical maybe and if so you might test negative pretty quickly afterwards.

Disneylandkilledmychildhood · 28/11/2014 15:18

My tests went negative the day after I started bleeding both times it happened to me @ about 5 weeks

LoopyLa · 28/11/2014 14:31

Girls I've been thinking - what about my HCG levels? If I retest in a few days, it'll still be present won't it? Possibly giving a false positive? I've tried to call the GP but they're not answering which is very bloody helpful not Hmm

NewEraNewMindset · 28/11/2014 13:57

Sadly not as it's around the time I might expect to get AF if I'd OVed earlier. It seems to just be spotting for now which I generally never get but of course I've never taken soy before!

iniquity · 28/11/2014 12:35

So sorry loopy

Perhaps implantation bleed newera.

Disneylandkilledmychildhood · 28/11/2014 12:20

So sorry you're going through this loopy. Definitely go see you go either way, so at the very least they can keep a record of it.

NewEraNewMindset · 28/11/2014 10:52

Bollocks I think my period is here two days early. Hoping it does t turn into full flow till tomorrow but I generally don't get spotting so I suspect she is here.

Now sure what to do now as soy seemed really promising by adding another day into my follicular phase, however I've now potentially lost two days off my lutuel phase which is crap.

GoodEggMightMaterialiseAnytime · 28/11/2014 09:53

I'm really sorry this is happening to you Loopy it's awful. But I would also say to retest in a few days. I too had quite heavy bleeding with DS on and off for the first 16 weeks of my pregnancy. Xxx

NewEraNewMindset · 28/11/2014 09:37

Ah cross posts. Yes I think retest in a couple of days and see what the line is like. If you still have a strong line then I definitely think seeing the GP would be a good idea, even if it's just to get it logged on the system that you have had a loss.

NewEraNewMindset · 28/11/2014 09:35

Are you absolutely sure it's all over though? I know you are bleeding but have you retested at all?

LoopyLa · 28/11/2014 09:34

Not spoken to GP as I'm only 4+5, not sure what they could do? I might test in a few days & perhaps talk to GP on Monday if still showing positive.

LoopyLa · 28/11/2014 09:32

NewEra that's interesting to hear. I will try SI again I think but on a lesser dose.

NewEraNewMindset · 28/11/2014 09:10

So sorry Loopy Sad.

I have heard rumblings of many soy pregnancies ending in MC but that seems to get muddled by a lot of the women resorting to soy having had difficult pregnancies and miscarriages previously. It does worry me though.

Boysclothes · 28/11/2014 09:04

I'm sorry, it's so worrying. That is exactly what happened with DS though, and it went on pretty much for 12 fucking horrible weeks. Def test again in a couple of days. Have you spoken to GP?

LoopyLa · 28/11/2014 09:01

Boys it's really heavy & been going on hours. No cramping as such but it's definitely not happening for me Sad
