Hi! Newbie to the forums :) we have 2 children, 7 and 5 and hubby had a vasectomy almost 5 years ago.... Almost as soon as our youngest was born. He realised quickly after that it was a big mistake. We're speaking with our chosen surgeon in a week and booking the reversal, then it's all aboard the TTC train as soon as he's all healed up :) would love to have some buddies along the way :) it's going to be a fairly long journey I feel, our eldest took a year to conceive our youngest took 9 months with a early mc in between.

I feel ok atm, usually by afternoon I start to feel queasy, and smells seems to be 10x as strong making me feel worse. My dreams are craz, think I dreamt I was in the hunger games lol, if I'm not pregnant I must be ill! I've not poas but I think that's because there's none in the house, I'm trying to hold off buying one because I know when I do I won't be able to resist, I think Af is actually due on 10th so might try to wait til Sunday when there's no work and we are alone. Poas party this weekend.
If we don't get BFP's then we both obviously have the same illness haha.

Pitterpatter5 · 04/02/2015 07:49

mrsstickll

How's the symptoms? Have you POAS yet?! I am holding out till Saturday... Got it in my head to test then... In fact I dreamt it! Had some crazy ass dreams and travelling next week so would like to know beforehand if by some amazing miracle it's a BFP!
My hubby has picked up on my symptoms ( mainly the carsickness) so maybe, just maybe in not mad... Or maybe we both are?!!!! Haha

mrsstickll · 03/02/2015 08:18

Due Af on 8th, the pregnant lady at works last day is tomorrow, every office needs a pregnant lady right? I dreamt someone else at work announced they were pregnant and I was so mad that I wasn't going to be the next office pregnant lady lol deary me think I'll be in the asylum with you pitterpatter

Hope your dh is feeling better soon wanting make him rest and get him to doctors, better be on the safe side x

I'm so sorry to hear your OH is not healing well! When did he have the VR? Have you spoken to the surgeon?
AF due 10/11 feb... Lots of symptoms... Nauseous/ sore nipples/ a feeling of fullness/ funky restless dreams and for the last day I have had what I can only describe as a real irritable feeling inside me like I wanna pop?! (But don't if that makes any sense!!!) anyway I think I may just check myself into a mental asylum when AF shows!

Haha.... Don't force the OH to dtd just incase you do any damage... Better to delay a month or two then do it when he's in full health! Get him some metatone, it's a liquid supplement given after surgery when your rundown to boost healing/ immunity!

Good luck x

Hiya ladies, I think I o'd fri or sat....I spot when I ov sometimes...and I spotted friday....so assumed it happened....Not testing for ov or anything.

My OH is having a real hard time. We have dtd a few times but one of his stitches have split open and he has an open wound which is v stingy and sore now. :( he is acknowledged at work today....but he really prob shouldn't be :(

When are u all due af??

mrsstickll · 01/02/2015 11:16

I've also felt queasy and warm, even the dh has commented on how I'm like a hot water bottle hopefully it's not a bug lol, eating seems to ease the queayness though.

Fingers impatiently crossed

Pitterpatter5 · 01/02/2015 11:07

mrsstickll how's the symptoms?!
5/6dpo Yesterday eve felt super sick and warm
6/7dpo today feeling sick, hot and boobs on fire!

I know it's early but I knew with my first before She even had a heartbeat! (Had an early scan as didn't know dates, I had been on contriceptive injection) we all thought I was 6/7 weeks and actually I was 3/4! Hmm

Will not test till AF due but fingers crossed eh!

Pitterpatter5 · 31/01/2015 06:51

.... Unless you have implant spotting?!

Pitterpatter5 · 31/01/2015 06:47

Yep.... Hold on in there mrsstickll I did this last month! Very stressful I know but we gotta wait another week yet!

BE STRONG!!!

mrsstickll · 30/01/2015 20:46

Is 5dpo too early for imaginary symptoms?

Pitterpatter5 · 29/01/2015 05:21

mrsstickll I'm with you! I'm not holding out too much hope this month as hubby had man flu so ended up with a 2 day gap right on top of O where I couldn't persuade him! Hehe... Af due 10/11 February so fingers and toes crossed for us both, even if it's not me a P would be a great booster.... I'm like you tho, not sure how I will manage to wait a whole two weeks and not be disappointed!

mrsstickll · 28/01/2015 11:52

pitterpatter We can be TWW buddies! Really though I'm the most impatient person ever, I'm not sure I can cope with this waiting malarkey, it was hard enough with Christmas as a distraction, now what am I supposed to do with myself?

Pitterpatter5 · 28/01/2015 04:51

Wanting my husband was bruised for around 2/3 weeks but felt more than able to enjoy himself after a week.... The boys sat very high for the first few weeks but I have noticed them starting to drop down again this last week or so!
Also his 'drive' has been through the roof and his 'release' went from thick to watery, now it seems to be somewhere in the middle!!!

With regards to telling family/ kids, most realised/ guessed when we came home early ( we work in KSA) for xmas and hid at my dads, then turned up with him hobbling around.... The kids don't know but all the adults are supportive!

Still early days but O'd yesterday ( if I've got it right) so fingers crossed, we have both fallen/ produced very quickly in the past!

SpamAnderson · 27/01/2015 21:04

The plan is to tell them as soon as we've had the 12 week scan! I'm going to find shirts online that say 'I'm the big sister' as dd2 will be becoming a big sister which she's very happy about! And maybe getting them a card from the baby with the scan picture in to tell them there's a baby on the way :)
I cannot wait!!

spam when are u gonna tell ur kids?

When I get my bfp.....we will hold off telling our kids as long as possible. Eek

SpamAnderson · 27/01/2015 20:26

wanting my DHs are hanging differently. One had a badly damaged tube and had to have a couple of inches cut out hence its sitting a lot higher now than it was. My DH had several issues with his stitches (not helped by our dogs jumping on him!) so has taken longer to recover than necessary. He had his op on the 5th, and we DTD for the first time on the 18th. By that time he was reasonably comfy to do it, thankfully the dogs didn't injure him until I got what I needed ha ha!

Hey spam glad to hear little Bubba is doing well. :)

mrs we start trying this weekend. Just as I'm due to ov. :) fingers crossed. How are u doing?

Good luck TTC pitter my OH only had his VR on 19 Jan. So we are new to it also.

My OH is still v sore and bruised. He has one of his boys very high and the other is hanging well well below....has anyone else noticed a change in position of the boys after the VR?? we think he has bruised and swollen more then is normal. He is 8 days past his VR and is still hobbling around and aching. How long did all of your guys take to get back to normal after?

SpamAnderson · 26/01/2015 15:43

Good luck ladies!!!

We had Dr lemberger, he said if this VR didn't work he would be particularly disappointed as everything went so well during the op. It's hard to stay positive after reading the negative, because I have no children in also worry it'll turn out to be me with the issues! I'm 28 hubby is 37, he has his reversal 5 years ago, we need to book an appointment for SA. I wasn't too disappointed last month as I felt like it was just a practice and waiting for things to go back to normal but I know I'll be gutted if Af arrived this month

Pitterpatter5 · 26/01/2015 13:21

Which surgeon did you go with? We must keep eachother updated with progress... This is the only active thread I could find based around vr and ttc! I've read plenty which are ancient and not active with both positive and negative story's!
Guess we just need to stay positive and be patient... It's tough tho when it's something that's so wanted by us! Even more so as my daughter wasn't planned and actually fell pregnant while on the contriceptive injection and was partying a little too hard....mind you that was 9yrs ago now, a lot changes in your body in that time! I'm 31 btw and my husband 42, OH's V was 7yrs ago.

mrsstickll · 26/01/2015 11:42

Hi pitterpatter5

Dh was same we started 7 days after op, it's sweet they're so keen lol. My first Af was different too, it was early and it's been on time for as long as I can remember since I came off the pill about 5 years ago. We have been dtd eod too to try and give the sperm time to regenerate as it's usually every day.
Working in the middle east, that sounds interesting!
My boobs have been so sore, even to touch them gently was agony, but since Af arrived in guessed it must just be my body getting used to the vitamins or something. 1dpo today, how torturous lol.

Pitterpatter5 · 26/01/2015 08:55

Hi Mrsstickll,

Husband is doing very well and is fully recovered...we started right at the end of my ovulation last month, (7days after op as he said he couldn't wait!) knew chances were slim but still disappointing when AF arrived although it was different to regular P's ( normal AF= 3 days, 1 heavy, every 30/31 days like clockwork) but this time I spotted dark for 2 days, then full flow, tested but negative! :-(

Fertile time is now, have agreed with hubby to aim for every other day and just be relaxed about it as otherwise way too much pressure! Have both improved our diet and taking regular multivitamins, although they are not conception based as currently working in the Middle East and can't seem to get them!

Do any of you notice changes, maybe you didn't see before you ttc?! All in my mind I'm sure but super sensitive veiny boobs and enlarged nipples for last month.... Even hubby commented but did test which was N!

How are you getting on?

mrsstickll · 26/01/2015 08:30

spam glad to here that baby is doing good, hope your dh has recovered now too. I think I ov yesterday so onto the TWW for me.

wanting dh has also said it felt different for him, when do you get to start trying?

pitter I have 2 step children but none of my own (yet), dh had his reversal beginning of December, how you getting on so far?

SpamAnderson · 24/01/2015 18:50

wanting my DH said his is thicker than it was. Full if lots of lovely sperm I reckon ;) my DHs was a 'very thorough' one too, one one tube in particular but he managed to reattach it. I'm not sure which one is successful but one of them worked! Good luck!
pitter good luck! My DH had his on 5th December :) has taken him quite a while to heal properly as his stitches came open... Not helped by one of our dogs jumping up at him :/

Hi guys,

Not sure who Is still using this thread but it's the newest one I can find and I'm keen to follow your journeys as well as venting my trials and hopefully tribulations!
My OH had his reversal with Mr Harriss on 15th Dec so early days, all went as well as we could hope for during the Op and both sides were reattached... OH had minimal pain and had to be helped after 7 days as he said it felt like it was going to explode!!! (Sorry tmi)
Anyway, healthy eating, supplements and plenty of practice now I guess... I have 3 step sons and 1'daughter of my own but decided we would like one together so here we are....
