Hi! Newbie to the forums :) we have 2 children, 7 and 5 and hubby had a vasectomy almost 5 years ago.... Almost as soon as our youngest was born. He realised quickly after that it was a big mistake. We're speaking with our chosen surgeon in a week and booking the reversal, then it's all aboard the TTC train as soon as he's all healed up :) would love to have some buddies along the way :) it's going to be a fairly long journey I feel, our eldest took a year to conceive our youngest took 9 months with a early mc in between.

I got my bfp! V nervous but excited. I'm sure it's all down to reflexology this month

Tropicality · 11/10/2015 18:46

Hi, I am new here.

My Husband had his vr in June 2015 after 20 years. Thought we'd prefer to try the more natural way before IVF. He has three children from his first marriage.

First sample around one month after vr showed a zero sperm count. Did not go back to re-test.

Two days ago I took a clearblue test and got a bfp! Surprised...we took another and got another bfp. If correct, I'm around six weeks pregnant. Due to have a scan later this week.

I've been reading a lot about sperm quality and the increase chance of miscarriage. Does anyone have any insight into this? I'm worried about the high chance of miscarriage in this first trimester.

Hi guys I am new to this site today and feeling rather anxious. The other half and I have just decided to have has reversal done. We have just booked an appointment with a sergeon to have a chat and talk it through wow Hugh day today. Potentially to day is the start of our journey and I have butterfly's in my tummy lol. Did anyone else have these feelings way before even the first meeting?

JoMalones · 08/10/2015 21:58

How is everyone? Sorry I haven't been around. I don't think I ovulated this month but on the tww now

jellybean4 · 29/09/2015 08:16

Haha yes that's what my ot half said too. Ooh fingers crossed they are early teeny tiny symptoms. Everytime I fell pregnant previously I always felt really run down and full of cold/flu symptoms wayyy before I officially found out. Xx

mrsstickll · 28/09/2015 20:55

I think we dtd after 7 days and all was fine, clearing the tubes is what I told myself. The tww is torturous had cold too so feeling extra sorry for myself

jellybean4 · 28/09/2015 20:08

Hi, sorry for such a late reply. Yeah he is doing OK now. Much more painful for the first week than he thought. We did the deed after 5 days though!!!!! I did say I didn't think we should but he wasn't having any of it. Lol hope we didn't undo any of my lembergers good work! ??
We arnt planning on ttc until next summer hopefully as lots going on with work etc at the moment. How is the 2ww going???? How you feeling??

mrsstickll · 24/09/2015 19:29

mrsstickll · 18/09/2015 20:18

Hi, glad all went well. Yes still working on it, I've never been pregnant before though so all new to me, this is the first month I opk'd and got a solid smiley today so that's a bit of a relief. Nice couple of weeks for your oh putting his feet up for a bit. X

jellybean4 · 18/09/2015 18:53

Hi mrstickll and thank you. I'm just sat in the room waiting for him to come back. Mr Lemberger has just popped in to see me and said the op went very well. Tubes were only about 1 inch apart!!! So hopefully he wont have any antibodies or poor swimmers!! Hope oh is ok over in recovery as he has never has a GA before. I have read your story through the thread, you still working on ttc?? X

mrsstickll · 18/09/2015 12:06

Hi welcome jellybean4 we had Dr lemberger, I really liked him and the reversal was successful. Hope all goes well today! Are you staying over? Xx

jellybean4 · 18/09/2015 01:14

Hi everyone. Hope you dont mind me joining in, I'm very new to this and have never actively joined a forum before so bare with me. I have enjoyed reading this thread tonight. I'm laying in bed and can't sleep as oh is having his VR tomorrow!!! We are going to Nottingham under Mr Lemberger. Our story is quite different from a lot of you guys. We have 4 children already ranging from 6 to 15 but have decided that we really would like one more. I know 5!!!! Ha I've always been very maternal and wasn't really happy when oh had his vasectomy almost 5yrs ago when our youngest was 14 months old. Anyways fingers crossed all goes well tomorrow and is a success. (Can't believe how nervous/excited I feel) we havnt told anyone about this which has been really hard for me so I'm glad I found this thread. Lol

JoMalones · 15/09/2015 20:02

Thanks, filled it out so fingers crossed!

I would be too!!!

mrsstickll · 14/09/2015 19:47

I clicked on this; uk.clearblue.com/survey

I've quite enjoyed it as a little distraction.

Ours took ages the surgeon went away when we were waiting for results I was livid

JoMalones · 14/09/2015 19:29

I don't know but I'm so impatient so hopefully not long!

Ooooh, how did you get on the trial?

mrsstickll · 14/09/2015 08:09

That's good about the SA, how long do you have to wait for results?

I'm doing the clearblue clinical trial, so free opks, currently on cd10 with flashing smiley, this is the first time I've done opks.

JoMalones · 13/09/2015 20:23

Hi Jilly, I had to google them all initially- used to take ages to read posts!

MrsS- hmmmm not sure! My sleep is so disturbed! Two dips before increasing so either ov Monday when I got +opk or Wednesday. AF Due on 22nd so now on dreaded 2ww and can't poas for at least a week!
On a positive note, apt for SA later in the week.
How are you getting on?

mrsstickll · 11/09/2015 22:11

Hi jillycooper2015 welcome! Acronyms BFP is big fat positive, Af is aunt flo. I also have 2 step children but none of my own. Hope you are lucky I think a couple of people on here got pregnant the first month.

How you getting on jomalones how's the temping going? I've never done it but it's been 10 months now so might give it a go next cycle.

JillyCooper2015 · 11/09/2015 18:50

Would anyone mind explaining the acronyms on here to me - I don't know what BCP / AF etc mean as am very new to this xx

JillyCooper2015 · 11/09/2015 18:49

*lucky even !

We're both taking our pregnacare and having sex / he's masturbating.

I've downloaded a fertility app - is a totally new experience for me as had a coil until Jan this year so never paid it much attention.

I'm 33. He's 50 with 2 kids from a previous marriage.

JillyCooper2015 · 11/09/2015 18:47

Hey Netters,

New poster here, just starting to try...

VR was done 2 weeks ago Monday, so boffing started Monday this week...

I'm excited and scared and hopeful and nervous and really hope we're luckly.

We went to Dr Harriss - who I see has lots of positive reviews on this thread.

Looking forward to joining the community

X

JoMalones · 03/09/2015 20:00

Hi Mrsstickll, I'm on cd8 and should ov cd14 so may be quiet next week! We've decided to get SA so until then I'm not that hopeful. I think last month I was so convinced it would happen, I've now realised that we probably will be in for a wait. Those two lines will be there for you soon. Hopefully this month!
Hi Pitter - I've iust started to temp but also v restless and OH works funny hours so not had much success over the past week since getting the thermometer.

mrsstickll · 03/09/2015 15:38

How you getting on JoMalones OH had his SA done and the surgeon said everything was norma.l

Hi Pitterpatter5 how are you? Good news on the SA.

AF due for me in 2 days, feel like I'll never see a second line.

Pitterpatter5 · 01/09/2015 19:36

Hey ladies,

I hope you are are well! Welcome to the newbies, congrats on the BFP's.... Well DH had SA over the summer and was told all was good ( lower end but they were swimming happily!) and that we had a good chance of falling over the next 2 yrs... 19.4 mill and 35% something?!!! Anyways, we are now headed into the 9th month, 8 actively trying....not so much as a niggle yet! :-( my daughter turned 9 last week and I just can't help feeling that a lot can change in a body in 9yrs! Cycle is consistent at 32 days, 3 day AF but am going to research a specialist locally to run a fertility screen for me this next month if nothing happens ( I'm British but working in the Middle East).
Hubby is getting frustrated now and is actually paying attention to my cycles whereas before he was almost dismissive and annoyed that ttc was my focus! I temped for 3 months but I am often restless at night so it's not overly accurate! It did show a pattern of ovulation around day18 so fingers crossed... I have to say each month gets a little harder, especially with those around me seemly falling very easily!
