Anyone TTC after vasectomy reversal op?

Sooooo....just an update for anyone who is looking for positive outcomes. I had my BFP last week. Not sure on dates as have pcos and not sure of ovulation etc will book in to see GP next week. Fingers crossed my little jellybean sticks ☺️

I've got no idea about PCOS, sorry. I hope that the treatment is relatively straight forward. A couple of my friends have PCOS and I know that they needed a little help falling pregnant, but that help obviously worked as they have children.

So my OH seaman analysis results are 'very good' and very 'favourable' according to the receptionist who rang today. We hadn't had the official report yet but to say we are happy is an understatement! I also had an ultrasound scan yesterday as my cycles have been 40-60 days long for the past 8 months (strange coincidence as OH had VR in sept) anyway it shows lots and lots of cysts on both ovaries 😔 Just waiting to see GP to find out if there is anything I can do to help regulate ovulation! Any one had treatment for pcos?? X

Thanks jellybean. I hadn't experienced any problems with conceiving or loss before and now having both! I don't have any patience either which doesn't help

I am sorry for your mc jomalones 😥 I've never ever know what it's like to have problems conceiving and that dreaded tww emotional up and down. Only now I can sympathise to some degree.....only time will tell I suppose. I'm trying not to get too fixated on the whole thing and it's particularly difficult to know when I'm ovulating anyway with my periods being so irregular. Good luck with your tww. Xx

Hello all. Just an update. We are still ttc. Oh vr was sept 2015. He is having his first sa on 21st this month so fingers crossed all is well. It's been so frustrating waiting every month and planning dtd around ovulation times etc!! It hasn't helped that my periods have become extremely erratic...... From 32-34 (normal for me) to 60 days!!! Have had bloods taken and awaiting results. I'm 33 so hoping it's not the beginning of the menopause 😳 How is everyone else doing on this emotional rollercoster that is ttc?? X

I can't believe I'm saying this but I'm pregnant! It's brand new so I'm scared to death but I guess it is possible after all despite the antibodies!! Just wanted to give you some hope!!! Wishing you all the best and will keep checking back xx

Well, the hubby announced yesterday that he thinks it's time to get another SA done.... Woohoo! (I pretended to brush it off tho, I have learnt that men often have to feel like they are leading the charge lol) here in KSA it's like the American medical system and although we have top healthcare cover, it doesn't cover fertility treatment at all, because we both have previous children I don't think the nhs would have helped us in the slightest anyway!!! If we have to go down the isci route and egg share is an option I wouldn't be against it, I guess we will have to cross that bridge if hubby agrees we are going to go down that road! ( he's anti getting help, he says if it doesn't happen naturally he doesn't want to pursue it as between us we already have four, just none together. ) I'm hoping a second SA will give us a glimmer of hope, even 95% antibodies means there's a chance one could get through! I'm not pushing the issue with him any further at the moment, he is going to need to decide for himself as I don't want him to feel like I'm railroading him and taking his options away... Unfortunately he was very open with me when we met that he had a V and at the time, was against reversal! He knew I secretly wanted one together so agreed the VR but on the understanding that there was to be no more messing with nature after that.... Keep me posted on your progress/ decisions, it's Good to know I'm not the only one in the same boat although I wish we Wernt all facing this difficulty! X

Wow can't believe how similar are stories are. I can't really get my head around why he would lie to us but it seems that he has. I know another couple, same Dr, everything good except antibodies. No pregnancy, and the NHS has also told them the same as me. That this deems him infertile. I would get an SA done on the NHS so that hubby can see the report for himself to get him to the same place that you are at. To be honest we are in the same place financially, but we got lucky, hubby got a company car and we where able to sell ours which has given us a good start. Is egg sharing something you have considered? If you where comfortable with donating your eggs the treatment is a fraction of the price. We are thinking about it. X

Welcome.... The boards are a little quiet these days but I'm sure many of us are still lurking somewhere or another! Scary how similar our stories are... We were initially given an 'all clear' letter from Mr Harriss and weren't told about the antibodies until I pressed for the full report. He was adamant this wouldn't stand in our way but with many months of well timed ttc it worried me ( annoyed husband!) despite his protests we went to a private specialist here (we are British expats living in KSA) but we again were told it may take a little longer but no reason why we shouldn't conceive naturally while having all the basic bloods and ultrasounds for me and being given the all clear! It's so bloody frustrating as this just confirms to the husband that we still have a good chance whereas me, after reading countless articles and being a lot more realistic know it's more like a 1-2% chance..... I agree with the whole isci thing and would prefer to get on with this option, atm we aren't financially in the position and with the hubbys warped sense of reassurance he's not interested in any further tests or 'help' to conceive... I'm slowly coming to terms with the fact that it's just not going to happen on our current path and still feeling very niggled that we weren't given some more details about the supposed antibodies that 'don't' have an effect on me getting pregnant!

Hi mind if I join you? Just read the whole thread. Here's my story,

I'm 29 this summer, DH is 26 in April. We are so lucky to have three boys, eldest is nearly 8 and from previous relationship, our younger boys are 4 and 3. When youngest was born hubby had vasectomy, he was only 22 years old! I was always against it but he was adamant he wanted no more. Needless to say he has since changed his mind. We had the reversal at the end of June 2014 with Mr Harriss. All went well and Harriss was adamant that we would conceive regardless of the fact that hubby had 100% antibodies. After doing research I just wasn't satisfied with that, so we also had a SA with the NHS and they said that his antibodies meant that "immunological infertility is highly probable"
So that brought us to the London women's clinic in Durham, the doctor there was also adamant that these antibodies wouldn't stand in our way, (on this third SA they where around 96 percent) but we are on to our 19th cycle now of trying as for the first one was spent with him healing and we missed my ovulation. One thing that confuses me somewhat if this fertility doctor thinks we will conceive is why do we need to have Icsi with the IVF? Anyway that's where we are, saving for our treatment that I think we might be able to start maybe August time X

I'm very sorry for your loss JoMalones. I know this is a very difficult time. This happened to us in November. Now I am very nervously around 5.5 weeks pregnant. Good luck for the future.

We unfortunately had a mmc so back to ttc.

Pitterpatter It gets very draining ttc and we have only been trying for one month. January test showed bfn and for some strange reason my cycle ended up being 45 days so I was symptom spotting but ended just a long painful cycle. I've heard great reviews on a herbal supplement called Angus castus it support ovulation. So hopefully it helps. :) it can't hurt anyway. X

How's this with you? I still havnt seen a + yet and January marked 12moths ttc... Naively I always thought it would happen in a flash but oh well, it will happen when it's meant to I guess! I had some blood tests and ultrasounds done to check myself out and was given the all clear, not monitoring my cycles anymore as feels too forced so just trying to relax and enjoy the journey. ( don't get me wrong tho it still plays in my mind wh n I know I'm ovulating or due AF but the hubby doesn't need to know that bit!) fingers crossed for us all! Xxx

Just wondering if anyone has had any success since out last post?
We started ttc last month I'm awaiting my Period any day now. I have had may pains so not sure I was successful this month :( but who knows...it's not over till the witch arrives! Xx
