Manic symptom watching!

Babymamababy · 01/10/2014 20:15

Hi all,

This is a place for all manic symptom watchers to share stories and convince themselves they have each other's symptoms! Nothing like a healthy dose of mania to ease the real anxiety and worry ttc can cause!

I myself have just recently started ttc and have seen myself go from a fully rounded adult to a manic symptom checker.
So today's symptom is a pinchy like pain in my left lower abdomen...could be wind...but no...as a manic symptom checker...I'm convincing myself it's a sign of implantation!
I will share a new one everyday. Please add your own...I want to have them too&!

Honestly. Get thee to eBay for some internet cheapies. Then you don't have to sell an organ everyone you want to POAS. I got a huge bagful for less than a tenner.

Pixa · 09/10/2014 23:20

Evil witch has shown her face! CD1 for me! Lots of champagne and Prosecco at the spa I think. Tammisaurus I am definitely envious of your will power and will be channeling it during my next TWW. Really hoping you get a bfp when you do test. Hi 2down, TWW is awful! Hoping it passes by fast for you with some good news!

2down · 09/10/2014 22:27

Hopefull, not only am I driving myself mad but DH thinks I'm mad too and doesn't understand why I can't just put it out of my head until AF is due. He isn't interested in the am I aren't I roller coaster, he will be interested if it turns out I am! He's also not a fan of buying tests early as it's expensive! And I had a BFN when I was pg with DD cos I tested too soon (had just come off pill, had no idea when I'd ovulated!) and remember how much I cried (that should have made me suspicious, with hindsight!). So I want to wait until I would get a reliable result. And it's too soon to show up anyway for another week. But the wait is killing me!

hopefull2424 · 09/10/2014 22:07

Tammi well done you :) I really wish I had will power. I have been poas nearly every day. All bfn obviously. Although if I stare at them long enough I always think I can see something.

When is your af due? Mines Tuesday xx

Tammisaurus · 09/10/2014 20:16

hopeful I have been in battle with myself the past couple days as to whether or not I should poas. I stood in Tesco staring at them for a good 10 mins. I must have looked crazy haha! I resisted though but part of me reeeeally wants to test. I just hate getting that BFN. x

hopefull2424 · 09/10/2014 20:08

Anyone else driving themselves crazy? I know I am. I could see a line on a blank piece of paper at the moment xx

Tammisaurus · 09/10/2014 18:50

Thank you pixa
I'm looking on the bright side of this cold and googled it and it could be a symptom hahaha!!
Have you decided on whether or not to test again or not?

Pixa · 09/10/2014 18:01

Hi All

Tammisaurus hoping your cold is over soon! Hubby has had a cold all week which has turned into a chest infection. Colds are a nightmare. Plenty of OJ, apples and honey!

AnythingNotEverything · 09/10/2014 16:56

Hi 2down and jojo (and anyone I've missed!). Fingers crossed you get the result you want or at least the time flies til you can test Smile

AnythingNotEverything · 09/10/2014 16:55

Aw sorry cough. Stupid mixed up cycles.

2down · 09/10/2014 16:42

DD and DS are 7 and 6 and we had completed our family. However, we've been a bit reckless with contraception recently. I'm not sure when my last period was but think we may have done the deed on Day 11. It could have been a couple of days earlier though. Nor am I sure of my cycle length, it's usually 28 days but I had 2 recent cycles of 21 days, then back to 28-ish again. Either way, it's a definite possibility. So I am paranoid about every possible symptom! And I can't test until NEXT weekend!!! The main things I've noticed are: light cramping, feeling like my breasts are doing 'let down' and some aversion to meat (I had that throughout my first pregnancy, so if I am it's definitely a girl!) But I reckon all these things could just as easily be psycho-sematic! It's constantly on my mind. There would be a big age gap (although the kids would be delighted!) We got rid of all the baby/maternity stuff a long time ago, and it would mean one of the kids sharing a room. Possibly a bigger car. Cancelled holiday (wouldn't be able to fly and we've already booked for next May Half Term) etc etc. But more than anything I'd be really excited because it would be another member of the family! And although it wasn't planned, I'll feel disappointed if I'm not. But I'll also be worried if I am as I'm now over 40 and all the risks go up! We've been so lucky so far, if there is someone in there I just want her (or him!) to be safe and healthy!

coughdrops · 09/10/2014 16:15

My post wasn't even up here an hour when AF arrived. So I guess it's just a randomly long cycle.

And a weird fortnight of feeling odd!

Jojoi6 · 09/10/2014 14:55

Hi everyone, my AF isn't due until next Friday, but I have massively convinced myself I am pregnant already! I have severe backache (only ever suffered back ache in pregnancy ??) and am having to sit on my hands to stop doing the test that is in my bedroom!!!!!

My newest symptom is that I am ridiculously thirsty all the time!

Tammisaurus · 09/10/2014 14:05

I've got the same symptoms coughdrops
my AF isn't due till Saturday though. I am so full of cold at the moment.

I think you should test again early morning/first wee.
Fingers crossed you get your BFP!

I cant believe I've managed not to poas yet haha! So tempting though

AnythingNotEverything · 09/10/2014 13:50

How odd cough. Are you testing with morning wee?

coughdrops · 09/10/2014 09:13

Can I join? TTC first baby, so it's symptoms a go-go here!

Main one being, my period is late. Was expecting it on Sunday/Monday, on Tuesday I tested and got a BFN. Fully expected it to start that day, but still nothing. I am never this late.

Other symptoms I’ve had
Cramps for last 7 or 8 days, like period cramps, but not as strong
Had really sore boobs for 2 days, which eased off, then came back last night when I was getting undressed
Hot flushes- since approx. 7 DPO my face gets really hot and red- like I’ve been sat in front of an open fire. Not constant, but happened a few times
Unreal tiredness this week, dragging my ass off to bed around 9pm

I feel crampy still today, but nothing seems to be happening. I am on CD 33, usually I’ve a 29 day cycle, and I am approx. 17DPO… tempted to test again, but aware that I’ll be woefully disappointed so maybe I should wait for period to arrive over weekend?

Tammisaurus · 09/10/2014 08:43

I read one of your posts before about that. I cant even imagine how awful that must be for you. Just try and keep your chin up and don't let it stress you out too much.

I've got a horrific cold at the mo. My nose feels like I've got cement up it. Lovely! Could honestly sleep for a week with how tired I'm feeling.
At least feeling this rubbish is taking my mind off crazing over symptoms.

Pixa · 09/10/2014 07:51

I may do! Pretty sure I am out this month though. Hope everyone else is doing well! Had a bad evening last night. My younger, terribly irresponsible, sister announced she was pregnant days before my wedding. She is now causing me some issues and just being blatantly rude. Not good times.

Tammisaurus · 08/10/2014 08:08

Maybe test again before you go away. Just to be sure. I'm sure you'll have a fab time on the spa weekend. Keep positive and smiling!

wanttobeamummyin2015 · 08/10/2014 07:51

It might be too soon though pixa if af not due til Friday... Hope you enjoy your spa weekend!

Pixa · 08/10/2014 07:38

Bfn ladies, never mind. I am mostly okay. I am just slightly disappointed we didn't get a honeymoon baby. Anyway, nice spa weekend planned and plenty of DTD after AF. Wink I am sure our time will come and it will be blissful. Smile

Tammisaurus · 08/10/2014 06:43

Had another vivid dream last night. My AF came early in my dream....not happy!!! Lets hope its all lies!

pixa spa weekends are the best. Me & my partner always go to one near Walsall. Called Fairlawns. Its so nice! If I get a BFN I think we'll book up to go. Oh and I totally resisted buying sticks!!! Haha

wanttobeamummyin2015 · 08/10/2014 06:20

pixa at least if it is a bfn you can have fancy treatments, jacuzzi and champagne galore! Smile

Kym134 · 07/10/2014 20:30

I am very weird as my contraceptive implant is coming out on the 22nd of this month and I am already obsessed even though we haven't started TTCing! How crazy am I.

Pixa · 07/10/2014 20:11

Tammisaurus you have so much more Will power than I do! I will keep you updated, I have a feeling (as excited as I am) that it will be a bfn, I don't think we will get a honeymoon baby but I don't mind! we will be blessed when it does happen. Spa weekends are the way forward. Since we have got back from the Maldives, everything has seemed so stressful. Husband has been ill this week, so we just need a weekend away. My favourite little spa, as rubbish as it sounds, is in Scarborough! My husband first took me there for my 21st birthday present and it's had a special little place for us ever since!

AnythingNotEverything I didn't feel like I was peeling on a £5 note until you said that, haha. Gonna have terrible visions of peeing on a £5 note tomorrow now. Oops! I do feel like I am speing £25 a month on expensive urine after taking prenatal vitamins. I had some bloods done recently, and my B12 was average, but I know I take my daily allowance, I just don't think my body can actually absorb it. Hence the expensive urine... Hah.
