I'm holding a pity party. Come and join the fun!

Fed up of TTC? Bored of DTD when you would really rather watch Downton Abbey? Sick of feeling envious of other people's bumps, births and babies? Wishing that you could break an egg without doing a mental comparison with your cervical fluid? ("wow so it's supposed to be THAT stretchy!?") Starting to wonder if a BFP and the whole pregnancy thing is actually a myth put about by storks who were getting run off their feet with baby orders?

ME TOO!

Please join me. What's driving you crazy about this whole TTC malarkey? Personally I am getting sick to the back teeth of it and mostly feeling really, really exhausted by thinking about BABIES ALL THE TIME!

Anyone else?

Hahaha it's no longer about romance, just biology! So I've been irrationally angry these past three days - that's got to be a sign surely? (grasps at straws)

otter32 · 03/10/2014 16:04

Well I wanted to dtd tonight with some 'normal' rather than 'business' sex and dh wants to save his swimmers for when my CBFM gives me a high! Pfft. Where's the romance gone?!

TheTravellingLemon · 02/10/2014 14:14

Can I join? I'm bored of the whole damn thing tbh. Ttc number two for a year this month and have absolutely had enough. I am so tired of thinking about babies. It seems like that's all I have done for years. My cycles are long and I am far from regular so pinning down ovulation is hard work. I know my symptoms and so I can't even play the symptom spotting game!

Foxtrot7459 · 02/10/2014 14:06

According to CBFM I've not yet ovulated (cd20) yet I'm convincing myself I have and the mid cycle spotting is implantation or these cramps I'm experiencing are ovulation cramps and not impending AF cramps..... I need to get a grip!

hopefull2424 · 02/10/2014 13:19

Im back again symtpom spotting .... I even talked myself into thinking sneezing is a symptom last night only to wake up with a stinking cold!

Im due to take a test late next week but im already tempted!

I have officially had enough of ttc and all the obsession that comes with it this month But obvisoulsy know that when af shows ill start all over again next month!!

Last month I convinced myself that no symptoms itself was a symptom!

NewEraNewMindset · 02/10/2014 12:05

8 dpo here and not one symptom to obsess over. Absolutely fook all. Nothing in pants, no cramping, boobs totally normal, no spotting. Just nothing until 13 dpo when AF will arrive. Oh joy.

camrywagon · 02/10/2014 12:01

The outpouring of pity may have done the trick. I think on cd70, FINALLY, I may be ovulating! Crack open the champagne folks!

OneMidnightInParis · 02/10/2014 07:09

Hopefull - I can't tell you off because I'm doing exactly the same thing! Did a lot of boob staring last night (only my own FYI) to see if they were any bigger, not due to test until next week and I need to stop prodding them.

Also everything was pissing me off yesterday, am now convinced that's a sign too rather than a 12 hour shift at work!

FX for your DH's sperm test Gem, when's he having it?

Babymamababy · 01/10/2014 19:59

So glad to have found this thread...am new to the site and I'm fed up of thinking about all things conception , ovulation etc. From staring at my nipples to see if they have darkened to thinking every gas twinge is a sign of implantation! I'm driving myself mad never mind my other half! Suffer anxiety days when I think it will never happen to jealous days when my friends seem to fall pregnant at the thought alone! Have even had to stop myself buying baby clothes....so I submit myself wholly to this pity party!

GingerbreadHead · 01/10/2014 13:32

Haha foxtrot that made me laugh out loud! Foreplay has definitely gone out the window in our house. DH followed me up to bed last night to 'service' me then went back to watching moto gp and drinking his beer......ah romance.
I am definitely coming along to this party. I am sick of thinking about it all, trying to figure out what the problem could be, remembering what foods I should be eating, taking my vitamins, peeing on sticks, taking my temperature, counting the days, working out our sex diary, and how little we can DTD but still cover all the right days!!! If we don't laugh about it all, we will cry, which I am sure we have all done anyway!
The whole thing just sucks and completely takes over your life. So let's have plenty of contraband Wine and Cake here!

Gemerama82 · 01/10/2014 13:17

Yes, we are hoping it was a bad sample and maybe related to illness back in Spring and also a holiday involving most eves spent in a hot tub. Since his test in July he has cut out any baths and hot tubs, drastically reduced caffeine and increased fruit and veg. He is also taking wellman vits.

His second test is due in the next few weeks, so fingers crossed we get a better result; last time the count was low and 100% abnormalities. Any improvement on those would make us so happy!!!

hopefull2424 · 01/10/2014 13:13

Hi all

Someone needs to come and give me a telling off. Im only a few days into ther tww and already im imagining every symptom possible and getting way to obsessed! Anyone else get like this? xx

MisterSafetyCatchIsNotOn · 01/10/2014 09:07

Gemerama that does sound tough, I'm sorry the doctors were so unsympathetic. I'm sure it's not hopeless, sperm counts can improve can't they? Is there anything he can try to help boost them a bit?

So sorry about your MC's Paris, it seems so unfair when others get pregnant so easily

MisterSafetyCatchIsNotOn · 01/10/2014 09:07

Me too, me too! Thanks for making me smile OP, we have been ttc number 2 for 14 months now and it's driving me crazy! I'm know I'm so lucky to have my DS but still can't stop the longing for a baby, especially as 4 friends and 1 colleague are all pregnant with their second and another friend just had a baby so I get constant reminders all the time. I just can't stop thinking about it and it's exhausting. Feel like all my other life plans are on hold indefinitely as the ttc obsession is all-consuming.

DH is getting his sperm tested next week and then we'll be referred to the fertility clinic, I'm hopeful but also terrified of what they might find out.

Lauraqc · 01/10/2014 08:49

I'm joining. I cannot be arsed to think about sex, pregnancy, babies or losing weight to try and get a baby anymore!!!!!

Gemerama82 · 01/10/2014 07:44

I hear you! I thought it would be fun and I was sure it would have happened within 2 or 3 months. It's no fun at all and has been so upsetting, largely because we found out about Dh's sperm problem on our 4th cycle of ttc. Now on cycle 7 and just hope the situation isn't as hopeless as it seems.

OneMidnightInParis · 30/09/2014 22:23

Thanks Gemerama, has been a tough two years in all honesty, never thought the TTC journey would be this difficult.
Otter- it seems so easy for some people doesn't it

otter32 · 30/09/2014 21:49

Ooo can I join in please? My main irritation is people announcing they're pregnant, then saying how they fm didn't expect IT to happen so quickly and they caught first time! Happy for them, but also want to swing them round my head and out the nearest window!!

Gemerama82 · 30/09/2014 21:46

Sorry to hear about your mcs paris

Gemerama82 · 30/09/2014 21:45

Aw bobsy, some gps are really lacking in compassion. I sympathize. We were treated as if Dh's awful sperm count was no big deal when it felt like our world had collapsed and we were not expecting it at all. Fx we beat the odds I guess.

MistressKatherine · 30/09/2014 21:37

Oh my god Foxtrot, you sound like me. And we're only on cycle five ttc#1. It's getting harder each month to pick up the energy each night after 12 hours at work to get down to it. Isn't this meant to be enjoyable?!

Really nice to know I'm not the only one.

OneMidnightInParis · 30/09/2014 10:05

I have officially delurked to join this party...........

Two MC's over the last two years with a couple of TTC breaks in there too, we have been firmly back on the bus since May.

I think the hardest part is not telling anyone in real life, I don't think I could cope with everyone asking if I'm pregnant yet. Also just entered the nightmare of the 2WW, crazy imagination going crazy!

BobsyBoo · 30/09/2014 09:18

Yes my GP made me feel worse! I had a scan earlier this year & all fine I've also had blood tests and again everything came back fine. My GP basically said its my age, I'm not producing enough eggs & the quality isn't good either so she's made me feel like I'll never conceive again.

Foxtrot7459 · 30/09/2014 08:30

Can I come to the party please??

Dtd is just such a none event, a process, a means to an end - in my house foreplay has become 'insert preseed, roll over, begin' even been told to just lie there whilst DH gets on with it!

Cycle 6or7 for me now, trying since dec 13 with a mmc in the middle. Fed. Up x

Gemerama82 · 30/09/2014 07:35

Poor bobsy. Have you seen your gp? Don't give up. My friend got pregnant for first time after around 30 cycles. It does happen. Worth seeing a doctor though if you haven't, just to rule anything out.
