Here, here - shame I'm eating for 6 before I am even pregnant though

I think we all do it.............I use that as my excuse for not going to class.

There's no point paying the rejoin fee in the 2WW as I might be pg and then not need to go!!!!

A really effective way of putting off diet and exercise IMO............and I totally agree with you MrsMc about the focus thing.
My main focus is ttc and the other stuff is secondary.

Natty1806 · 26/10/2006 13:22

Well done Mrs

at you mum's comment RR. x AM sure you look fine.

I have been so bad this week am dreading weigh in tomorrow think i will have gained at least 2 pounds.

Must try harder now with the run up to Xmas but now i am in the 2 ww my brain keeps having conversations with itself 'don't eat too little, exercise too hard you might be pregnant' MIGHT being the operative word.

Sorry i am not mad really x

MrsMcJnr · 26/10/2006 10:20

Hello ladies! Lost a pound (but maybe the "3 meals in 1 day" cake hasn't got a grip yet!). I did write everything down and did do a bit more exercise - though not enough. I will do better Natty - promise!

Coggy - in the past when I was really committed to losing weight, I did it and got to my target but since then when I have more important things on my mind like my wedding before and now TTC, it takes a back seat. I think I have to accept that I'll try but not as hard as I did when it was my main focus. It sounds to me like you feel the same way! Mmm pizza sounds lovely!

Hi RachelRose - Sorry to hear you are not happy with yourself, I think you look fine with nothing there to lose! I agree about resturants, I don't eat out that much and when I do, I feel cheated if I chose something I don't really like - today - I know I should be going for a pasta with a tomato sauce, but know that I won't! That said, going to see "The Devil wears Prada" tonight with a mate so no time for dinner so lunch counts for both! I'll try and encourage to be good!

RachelRose · 25/10/2006 21:52

Urrrmmmm, hello!! Haven't been on here for ages... No excuse really as have been on the positive threads, but I just knew I was being really bad!!! Weighed myself for the first time in 2 weeks and have gained 4 pounds!! . I know exactly why... curry, cake, pizza, the odd bit of wine. My excuse would be that we'd had visitors but... well that pretty poor isn't it.

Anyway am now paying the price as feel bloated and disgusting. My work trousers felt all tight and uncomfortable today. I must do better, I must do better, I must do better.

I know what I should eat when I go to restaurants / sandwich shops but then when I see all the yummy stuff i cave in and say "Well, maybe just for today" - But then I say that 3 or 4 times a week.

Anyway, sorry to rant, but feeling pretty low about it tonight. I was meant to be losing weight for xmas not gaining it. My mum said to me the other day "what bra size are you now because it looks like you've gained weight". I was mortified!!!

MrsMcJ - I may need your encouragement to go for the salad tomorrow and not the pizza

coggy · 25/10/2006 18:19

I felt really bad when I read yours and MrsMc's posts wishing me good luck for my weigh-in!

I suppose it's good that I feel accountable to you.......keeps me from being worse than I am!!!

Just had porridge for tea....comfort food!!

And yes.....pizza was LOVELY!!!!!

MrsMc......c'mon now........you're doing it for all of us tonight I think!!!

Natty1806 · 25/10/2006 17:44

Don't worry coggy i have had yet another bad day this week so not sure if i will weigh on Friday as i will only despress myself.

Hope you enjoyed your pizza hut. x

coggy · 25/10/2006 17:05

HOW CAN ONE CAKE HAVE NEARLY A WHOLE DAY'S WORTH OF CALORIES IN IT????????

Do not send me anymore good wishes for my weigh-ins.....I am a total failure......I am feeling fat and bloated and pre-menst and yuck!

Not helped by the fact that DH and I went to Pizza Hut instead of my class ()....BUT I do have good excuses although I know I should have none...............

I think I want to be pg so I don't have to go back and so I keep waiting for AFs!!!
Could be years then before I return!!!
I will continue to weigh-in at home.....Friday AMs and eventually I WILL get a grip and go back to RC!!!!

As long as I'm not putting on at home I will be okay.

Sorry!!!!!
I am SO bad!!!!

Natty1806 · 25/10/2006 11:36

bet it tasted nice though. Mean boss not putting the heating on, if it below 16 in an office you have the right to go home. x

MrsMcJnr · 25/10/2006 11:11

Thanks Natty. I have written everything down all week and overall have been quite good but yesterday I was starving and cold (miser of a boss won't put heating on and I had my coat on at my desk!) so I went to Starbucks and had a skinny hot chocolate (not too bad) and a cinnamon whirl - then checked their website for nutritional values and the cake had over 1000 calories in it !

Good luck today Coggy

Natty1806 · 24/10/2006 08:28

I shall be stealing these aswell. x

coggy · 23/10/2006 22:12

Actually saved them as 'MrsMc's Curries' but I have had two bottles of Grolsch and typing is proving to be rather more difficult than normal!!

Had to copy the word Grolsch from the label!!!!

coggy · 23/10/2006 22:11

Bless you....and thanks for missing Spooks for me!!!

I have copied and pasted the recipes and saved them as 'MrsMc'c Curries' !!!!!
I will let you know if they have the desired effect!!!!

MrsMcJnr · 23/10/2006 21:25

Coggy - this is how much I care - I am missing Spooks to type this! (after last night, I told DH to start watching without me!)

Anyway, here goes:

Thai Green Chicken Curry
(recipe is per person)

Add chicken & simmer for 3-4 mins more. Stir 1 dspn chopped basil or coriander. Serve with 30g dry weight of bolied rice, some green beans & some broccoli.

I'll work out the and let you know tomorrow.

Thai Beef Curry
(serves 4, 275 calories/serving, freezes well)

300ml (10 fl oz) 88% fat free coconut milk
2 tbsp Thai red curry paste
1 stalk lemongrass (thinly sliced or from a jar!)
4 dried or fresh kaffir lime leaves
1 tbsp fresh lime juice

You'll need to count rice in with this one!

Hope you enjoy them, I know my DH lovs them both.

Thank you.

MrsMcJnr · 23/10/2006 08:57

He, he - way to a man's heart hey!?

Will post them tonight for you when I get home.

OP posts:
coggy · 22/10/2006 20:35

Ooooh yes pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeze.
My DH LOVES curries and I can only do them from a jar!!!!

That would impress him no end.......I'll save it until BDing time next month!!!!

MrsMcJnr · 22/10/2006 14:46

Thanks Coggy - it's a whole new world!

Well, added Puff Exercise to my chart today! Window cleaner pitched up yesterday and I was too embarrassed to be seen puffed out so I had a walk instead. Today, we walked for an hour and then I watched the first episode of Sex in The City whilst on the cross trainer - 26 mins and 8.5 K later - I was pretty puffed but how great was it to see Carrie and the girls again

Coggy - I have two receipes for Thai Green Curry - one Scottish Slimmers and the other Weight Watchers, would you like me to post them for you?

Hope you are all having a good weekend!

coggy · 22/10/2006 09:05

MrsMc.....EPU = early pg unit I think....I had to ask someone recently.
The scan is the 12 week scan...I think they test the nuchal fold at the back of the neck if you want.but I could have totally made that up......I didn't even know it was called that until I came on MN and I've had a baby!!!!!

Weird that you had a Thai Green Curry...we went out to friends laat night and they cooked one for us...not had one before......yummy!!!
Only had one wine as I was des.

MrsMcJnr · 21/10/2006 13:02

JL2 - so glad things are going well I had heard that wine tastes like vinegar when you are pregnant, our first bottle was like that last night but it was corked, my friends had drunk a glass each before I tasted mine and it was gross, couldn't believe they'd got past the first mouthful . I am naive to all things baby EPU? nuchal?
