Hi everyone. I'm about to embark on another 2ww (ovulating today) and wondered if there was anyone else out there in the same position who wanted to come along for the ride!

Only cycle 2 TTC #2 but took 13 months last time so crossing everything!!

MishMooshAndMogwai · 08/09/2014 20:18

Put the sticks down! Grin
I'm dying to POAS too but I'm only 9DPO so still early.

Glad of this thread to talk me down and keep each other sane!
I'm going into town tomorrow so might give into temptation and buy some tests to have them ready!

Rawls · 08/09/2014 19:02

Hello all! Can I join you? Just ovulated yesterday (I think) just going by CM - and last month I was a total freak about POAS and I am hoping if I join you guys it will keep me sane!

Good luck to you all!

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 08/09/2014 18:00

coffee sometimes as the hormones settle down you can still get fertile CM. At 2dpo it's too early for anything to be a symptom (despite all our efforts to convince ourselves that they are!!)

Coffeeaddictforever · 08/09/2014 17:43

Sorry tmi, 2dpo today and had loads of clear cm. not very stretchy so not got ovulation days wrong. Not sure what it means. After ovulation I had creamy cm. any one else had this?

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 08/09/2014 15:04

Hello ladies!!

Mish yes dpo = days past ovulation. Symptoms sound promising though. Problem i find is that they are also very similar to AF symptoms which is most annoying.

SacryMartian I also started testing at 7dpo last month (was convinced that because i got an early BFP last time, the same thing would be the case this time) - therefore I am firmly holding in my pee and keeping away from all sticks until at least the day before AF arrives.......oh who am I kidding, I no doubt will break open the IC's as soon as i see a dip on my chart, convince myself it must be implantation and then drown my sorrows after a plethora of BFNs and the arrival of the red hag!

Otter oooooh sounds interesting. Maybe wait a couple of days and test?!? Do you chart your BBT?

Rainy so sorry for you MC. Am very impressed on your will power to not POAS! Fingers crossed Friday brings some good news.

I wonder if the Duchess went through such madness when she was waiting to test Hmm

MishMooshAndMogwai · 08/09/2014 14:50

Hello!

What is DPO? Days past ovulation? If so then according to my app (which may or may not be accurate) I'm 9 DPO. I'm not so insync with my cycle this month as it's only the second after the mc.

Feeling VERY nauseous today! Boobs aren't particularly tender, nothing to write home about anyway and I can't decide if it's a metaly taste in my mouth or not!

rainy we're more or less in exactly the same position!

ScaryMartian · 08/09/2014 09:32

Morning!

Welcome otter and Rainy.

So sorry to hear about your mc Rainy. Your symptoms sound promising- well done for resisting POAS so far, last month I started at 7dpo Blush this month I have decided that I won't buy any until AF is due to remove the temptation. I have a few IC OPKs tho so will prob just pee on those to get my fix.

I'm now 3dpo. This is going to be a loooooong wait, I feel like time is going backwards. Why can't I be one of those women who just realise one day that they haven't had a period in a while, take a test then discover that they are 8weeks gone?!

RainyLion · 08/09/2014 08:09

Can I join?! Mish I'm in a similar situation to you - TTC #2 after late MMC in July (11weeks)
This is my first cycle and I am 10dpo so getting close to the pos stage! I'm trying I not get too hopeful but I think I have a heightened sense of smell and metallic taste in mouth but I might just be imagining it!
I'm hoping to avoid the usual pos too early and being disappointed so I am going to avoid buying a test until Friday! Smile good luck everyone!

otter32 · 08/09/2014 07:53

Hi all,

I've been checking this thread, but hope you don't mind me joining!

I'm 9dpo and had some weird sharp pains yesterday that I'm convincing myself may be implantation pain! They weren't like normal period cramps and I've never felt anything like that before. Fingers crossed!

I hate this wait. You convince yourself this is your month and then you wait for disappointment!

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 08/09/2014 07:43

Morning all, 2dpo in the MooWoo camp. Lot of creamy CM this morning which is far too early for a symptom but a symptom nonetheless as it was sticky last month. Hate, hate, hate the 2ww!!!! Already obsessing.

Evan sounds promising - i never got the sore booby thing with my last pg but I know it can be an early sign, although at 5dpo might be a little early as the eggy prob won't even have implanted yet. But that doesn't mean that your body isn't already sending out signals!!

Mish what dpo are you? As i said to Evan, sore boobies is a good sign.

Coffee I tend to enjoy a drink in the 2ww - until the placenta forms nothing can get to the baby (if there is one). Not saying that i go crazy, i just might enjoy the odd glass of wine or beer every now and again. If when i get a positive then i abstain completely :)

Costa sorry for BFN!! 10dpo is early though so fingers crossed that the eggy has only just implanted and you get that BFP in the next few days.

Right off to symptom spot some more do some work!! Catch up later Grin

Candy yes I am but I never post anymore... I fell off the threads after DS because I just couldn't keep up! I was LittleLolly back then. I do go on the fbook group every now and again to see what everyone's up to and how the babies are. Do you post on fbook?

Lovethebubbles · 07/09/2014 22:20

I've had a couple of small glasses of wine over the weekend. I read somewhere if you are pregnant it doesn't do any harm because it doesn't share the same blood supply in the very early stages... Is that right? Hope so!

CandyPop · 07/09/2014 21:58

costa yes I was!!! Wow good memory! I haven't posted on mumsnet for 1 1/2 now! Are you in our Facebook group ?

ScaryMartian · 07/09/2014 21:12

Smile don't encourage me!!

CostaLotta · 07/09/2014 21:11

Baby brain maybe Scary?? Smile

ScaryMartian · 07/09/2014 21:07

Sorry, just noticed it was coffee that asked about the drinking not costa!

Must pay more attention.

ScaryMartian · 07/09/2014 21:03

I was going to ask the same Costa.

Last time I didn't drink in the 2ww but am going away next week with family where there will be lots of wine. My family are very eagle eyed and bound to notice, plus my mum I'm sure is looking for signs we are ttc again.

I think I'm going to drink but only a little to throw people off the scent.

What are your thoughts?

CostaLotta · 07/09/2014 21:00

CandyPop were you on the Nov 12 threads?

CostaLotta · 07/09/2014 20:59

Fingers crossed for you Mish

CostaLotta · 07/09/2014 20:58

Thank you Scary I will look into that book. I've been reading up on it for next month as I don't think we DTD enough this month (non sleeping toddler grrr!!)

OK so I will confess I POAS this morning and it was obviously BFN... I'm probably only 10 or 11 dpo, why do we do it to ourselves?? Off to Home Bargains tomorrow to stock up on cheapie tests Grin

ScaryMartian · 07/09/2014 20:57

Grin Mish! Sounds promising!

I'm feeling a bit sick, which according to my bonkers mind must be a pg symptom (at 2dpo? Hmm ) and def not due to the fact that I've eaten loads of crap today.

Coffeeaddictforever · 07/09/2014 20:56

What do we think about drinking in the tww or are we staying teetotal?

MishMooshAndMogwai · 07/09/2014 20:19

I may be imagining this and getting ahead of myself but my boobs are sore! Just a little bit to the touch, not usually an AF symptom for me, that's often a really harsh pain in one armpit (the side corresponding to the appropriate ovary for that month).

Not getting excited, not getting excited, not getting excited......I'm excited!

ScaryMartian · 07/09/2014 18:25

IamEvan- you are not alone, dh and I are rubbish with remembering anniversary stuff. Neither of us had bought a card this year!
Sorry to hear you are feeling down- I hope things start looking up soon.

I hope everyone else is doing ok. I'm now only 2dpo and can see that I'm going to need to keep myself occupied to stop going a bit symptom spotting crazy. Luckily the week after next (week 2 of tww) we are away so no chance to literally piss away money PingOAS too early!

Costa - defo look into temping, I love the science of it (GEEK ALERT) and also that it takes a lot of the guess work away when it comes to the 'have I, haven't I Ov'd' question. Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler is a brilliant book which helped me first time around.
