Hi everyone. I'm about to embark on another 2ww (ovulating today) and wondered if there was anyone else out there in the same position who wanted to come along for the ride!

Only cycle 2 TTC #2 but took 13 months last time so crossing everything!!

Sooo AF is due sat/sun when's the earliest I can test using a first response????

whitwoochantelle · 21/09/2014 21:38

Think I'm just coming out of ov period did test.on stick this morning was very light. I've never tempt can any one give me more details

Baffers100 · 21/09/2014 21:32

Monkey- I'm not sure to be honest. This is out first month trying and I've made life hard for myself. I stopped the pill on 19th august8 days in to a pick. Had a little withdrawal bleed and now I'm here. I ran June and July pills back to back due to travelling so my last period was back in June. :(
May start temping to get a better grip I think I ovulated last month as I had the EECM then and ovia (even with the funky dates) put me in my fertile period then, not sure how good it is though!
I may start temping to get a better handle on things.

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 21/09/2014 12:44

Baffers FMU = first morning urine.

How long is your LP usually? It seems a little early for the cramps to be related to anything beany.......more likely that its from ovulation. Implantation doesn't happen until between 6-12dpo, with 9 being about the average.

Hag whore arrived in full force.......a day early. BITCH!!!! Grin

Baffers100 · 21/09/2014 10:40

Hello. What's an FMU? I've got the hang of a lot of the baby talk but not that one!
I'm 13 days away from POAS. had really bad cramps in my left today and yesterday. So hoping we've got a bean!
Fingers crosses everyone! Xx

ScaryMartian · 21/09/2014 10:20

Morning!

Mooley- boo to AF cramps and temp dip.

I agree with others- frers are great. Avoid sainsburys cheapys after my two possibly false positives. As mooley prev said try and steer clear of blue dye tests.

The internet cheapys are great from amazon and I got my bfp with DS at 9 dpo on one, confirmed by a frer the next day.

Well, after 5 days of much faffing around and sending me on a huge emotional roller coaster my AF finally arrived this morning properly, 2 days late. I have had a proper cry to get it out of my system. At least now I can move on.

I think things have been made a little more difficult by the fact that sil announced her 2nd pregnancy today. I'm obviously thrilled for her but on a selfish note the timing obviously sucks.

I'm off to order some preseed!

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 21/09/2014 06:24

Morning ladies. Well cramping has started and my temp dropped well below the cover line so AF is imminent.

candy I'm with you on not POing on anything until a few days before the hag is due. I'm going to get hold of a load of OV sticks (the last lot came with 10 free pee sticks too!)

I second what ours have said on pee sticks. FRER are prob one of the best but if you want to start the crazy early testing that we all do then the ICs from Amazon are great. I then also get a digi for when I need confirmation in words :)

CandyPop · 20/09/2014 20:46

59sound if you are like many of us and a POAS addixt I would get the cheaply brands, superdrug/boots.... I haven't tried internet sticks but thy are really cheap! Then maybe have a clearblue digital for when the moment comes and you need to confirm a BFP . I have realised I have spent already £50 worth of testers this month which resulted on BFN so I would strongly suggest cheaper versions!

For my 2nd cycle I am not going to buy any and will try and hold out until AF is due before testing so not going to happen

whitwoochantelle · 20/09/2014 15:26

I'm so sorry about your news scary. I'd test again in a week my mom carried on having monthly bleeds till she was 7 months with me so you never know xxx we put our self;es under such pressure. Every month I'm keeping all my. Fingers crossed for u hunny xx

59sound · 20/09/2014 15:23

Boo, so sorry to hear about the BFN scary Flowers. Hope you have a relaxing evening and enjoy the pizza.

Can I ask a quick general question too? Which preg tests would you recommend? I think I have one First Response lurking in my drawer but that's about it. Feeling the need to buy a couple although am worries they might be too tempting...

ScaryMartian · 20/09/2014 15:00

Thanks for your support everyone. It really helps to talk about it on here as don't want to share with anyone in rl and dh doesn't quite understand.

AF still hasn't properly appeared, just brown discharge with the odd smear of red (sorry). I think I have to accept that this months period is a bit out of the norm. Would like it to stop or even start properly so I can get cracking with the next cycle!

So sorry about your bfns mooley, I still have my fx for you but I know how utterly shit it all is. I personally think it is far more disappointing to see a bfn than it is to get AF. At least with AF you know that it's the start of the next cycle so you can start planning. Early pg tests are the work of the devil and I'm sure the manufacturers make the majority of their money from people like us who just can't help to POAS.

Anyway, have some Wine and some Thanks and enjoy your weekend. Dh and I are getting a dominos tonight I am so excited!!

Coffee- let us know how the hpt goes. Did you manage to dtd in case you were ov'ing last week?

Whit, sorry you are also experiencing the messed up cycles. Make sure you dtd today anyway going by those opks!

whitwoochantelle · 20/09/2014 13:51

Grr

Another 2ww thread!!!!!
whitwoochantelle · 20/09/2014 13:48

Argh my.body's a duche just done a ovu test ( don't really know why) and it's come up positive! Dient think I'd had a period! Apparently my one day bleed was it! Making my cycle 18 days long I'm usually 40+

Coffeeaddictforever · 20/09/2014 12:26

Cd 29 no af and bfn yesterday. As this is first cycle ttc after dd still not sure if or when I ovulated. Only monitored cm. had loads of ewcm for the past week so possible I have only just ovulated. I only breastfeeding once a day now so hopefully af will arrive soon so we can get on with it. Feel daft but I'm going to do another hpt today. I don't think anyone would get a bfn on cd28 and go on to get a bfp.

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 20/09/2014 08:10

Morning- scary so sorry for the BFN it really does suck. Just a word of caution though, blue dye tests are notoriously bad at giving false hope and can give definite blue evap lines. I steer clear of these if I can and only use if I have no other choice (which is what I'm presuming you did). We will do it next cycle grrrrrrr!!!

I had another BFNS so I now know I'm out. Hag will be here sometime Monday. Next month I'm not testing until AF is well and truly late as I've spent a fortune this month and it's heartbreaking seeing no second line time and time again.

Big hugs scary Flowers

Morning! Bfn with fmu on cb digi. Had a few drops of red blood last night so waiting for AF to kick in.

Either yesterday's bfp showed a chem pg or they were just nasty evaps (did 2 sainsburys tests in the end- both faint bfps).

Onwards and upwards!

CandyPop · 19/09/2014 20:32

scarymartian fx for you x

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 19/09/2014 20:19

To be honest scary digis aren't that sensitive. Naughty DH for making you test with anything other than FMU!! AF cramps in early pg are quite common, as is bleeding. Until she arrives in full flow you could still be in with a chance. Fx'd for you!!

Before DD was conceived we suffered an early miscarriage after having a nice pink positive and then a string of BFNs so I can completely sympathise if this does go that way really crossing everything it doesn't!! :)

OP posts:
ScaryMartian · 19/09/2014 19:57

Bfn on cb digital (DH made me do it, promise!) and AF cramps getting worse.

I have a feeling this could be a chemical pg.

Sorry to keep giving you a running commentary but it helps to share!

ScaryMartian · 19/09/2014 19:11

Thanks for confirming I'm not going mad everyone!

To be honest though I'm not feeling too confident with this. Have had a little more brown bleeding this evening and getting AF type cramps. I bought some digitals so will do one tomorrow with fmu.

Hi to hellohello! Not sure about your ov dates but it looks like you have both the 10th and 14th covered. Only temping will truly tell you if you have ov'd. With regards to the preg tests- some do detect pg as early as 4days before AF is due, Ime frers are the best.

Candy- I don't think I'm qualified just yet to advise re: dtd freq as not confident on my bfp however we dtd everyday on the run up to ov (4days starting from first sign of ewcm) and including day of ov. I have read that unless dp has low sperm count then everyday is fine.

Hellohellohowareyou · 19/09/2014 17:41

Also bit confused about ovulation and dates if anyone can help? Cd1 was sept 1st and I got a smiley face on a clearblue ovulation thing on 10th sept but not the following day (11th) we dtd on the 6th, 8th, 10th and 14th so according to ovia app that's twice in my fertile window. BUT I got ovulation pains on the 14th? My cycles are between 26th-28th. Not sure whether we have dtd at the right time or not? Hmm

Also massive congrats on the bfps so far!

Hellohellohowareyou · 19/09/2014 17:38

Hello! Can I join please you sound like a friendly lot Grin

I'm currently in my 2ww of TTC # 2. Have been using the ovia app which is great but it's saying I can take a pregnancy test in 4 days even though my period isn't due until 27th/28th? I'm assuming that's because some tests can work before you even miss your period?

CandyPop · 19/09/2014 16:25

I can see it!!! Ah very happy for you!!! What a turnaround in events Smile

I'm still gutted about my bfn .... I know it's my 1st cycle but have never faced this before in TTC DD1. She technically for conceived on -1 cycle as we planning to try properly the following month.

So ladies with BFP... Tell me how often you DTD... Shall we do it every day during fertile period or every other day run up to it?!

59sound · 19/09/2014 16:19

That's not faint at all, can see it clearly! Exciting!

CostaLotta · 19/09/2014 15:40

Scary I can see it too! I would get yourself a FRER or digi. Spotting in early pregnancy is very normal remember. Congratulations!
