Hi everyone. I'm about to embark on another 2ww (ovulating today) and wondered if there was anyone else out there in the same position who wanted to come along for the ride!

Only cycle 2 TTC #2 but took 13 months last time so crossing everything!!

Right yes i think you can safely say you are definitely ov'ing :) I would stop testing if they are negative. And i would def Dtd tonight, tomorrow and Saturday, just to cover yourself. If the eggy is released 12-36 hours after a positive it may already be making its way down the tubes and will only survive for 24 hours. Did you DTD yesterday?

You have caught your surge at the beginning middle and end so I think it's safe to say that you are ovulating today. When did you get your first positive? The cramps are prob ov cramps so grab DH as soon as you can and get some sexy time in Grin

Just did another OPK test and it's gone back to negative . I don't need to test anymore do I? Does that mean I'm defo ovulating?

I have period type cramps today which ties with the OPK predictor ... So do I DTD tonight and tomorrow just in case?? Do we do Saturday as well for just in case?! It's all very confusing !

Bobian123 · 02/10/2014 12:34

hahahaha! Sorry, I just re-read what I wrote - I meant 7 days in total, hoping to catch O somewhere in the middle. DEFO not 14 days! Good god, no.

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 02/10/2014 10:51

candy i know what you mean about the sexy time - it's like all DHs christmases have come at once when we are TTC!!! Preseed is a life saver. I love the stuff. Great for a quicky as well Blush

Temps are the best way to know you have actually ov'd. OPKs can only detect the surge, but temps actually confirm ov. Problem is you only know that you have ov'd after getting 3 consecutive temps that are higher than you previous temps. I need one more tomorrow and then FF will confirm ov. Praying that is is low

I only started OPKing on Tuesday as I don't usually ov until CD18 (tuesday was CD10), but I had some EWCM, which I thought was weird, and thought i best test. We only started DTD last night as part of our own sex schedule (DD is at her grandparents this weekend so I was planning it so that we get as much in over the weekend as possible). We are scheduled to have more sexy time on Friday, then Sunday and ED during my fertile period (I am assuming that I will ov next Tuesday).

I am hoping that it was just a little blip, I will have a massive dip next week and then huge temp spikes!!! Going to continue to DTD anyway just in case, but if i have ov'd early then i think DTD the day after ov is not the best!!

Sex schedule has been revised due to early ovulation so ramping it up and with be aiming for 4 DTD in a row Shock ... Ok compared to bobian that's small potatoes but for us that's like a month worth of sexy time in the space of 4 days Grin TMI??!!

Last month we did 3 in a row but I think I missed timed it... Also we're using preseed this month which actually makes it so much easier / comfortable when we're doing it so often!

mooley I don't know much about temperature tracking so wouldn't know what that means . What day did you start using OPK sticks ? When was your last DTD apart from last night?

I thought I missed ovulation last month but it came at CD16 so you never know... Just keep DTD regardless of what the predictions are saying ... Just in case ....

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 02/10/2014 09:37

Wow bobian I'm impressed! That's a lot of sec Smile

candy how's the sex schedule looking?

I'm CD 12 and had another high-ish temp thus morning. We only managed to DTD yesterday. OPKs have all been negative so far. I'm worried I've ov'd super early and have missed it again this month Sad

candypop · 01/10/2014 22:05

Wah that's a lot of DTD!

bobian 14 days in a row ! You are amazing ! Grin

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 01/10/2014 21:42

candy I think you ov something like 12-36 hours after a positive. Then the egg will only survive for 24 hours so needs to be fertilised within this time. Just gotta make sure there are plenty of spermies up there to catch it Smile I'd DTD as often as you can. Once you get a negative OPK then id DTD even more for the 2-3 days following it just to make sure. Do you temp? Temping BBT is the only way to know you've actually Ov'd. That way you can plan sex the day of and the day after ov Grin

Bobian123 · 01/10/2014 21:17

I'm with you on that Candypop. As i understand it, it does mean that O can happen in next 36 hours - although you might be catching the surge of hormones on its way down if that makes sense...meaning that O would be a bit sooner. I basically don't really understand so we just DTD about 7 days in a row either side of when I thought O would occur!

candypop · 01/10/2014 20:03

Sorry lots is typos .... Sleepy and hungry at the mo!

candypop · 01/10/2014 20:03

Haha yes indeed.... Defo have to DTD .... But yes will have to revise timetable! So with a positive OPK does that mean it ovulation can happen in the next 36 hours and then add on another maybe 24 hours for when eggy is ready and waiting ? So really so DTD the next 3 days ??! ... I get so confused with what a positive OPK means!

Bobian123 · 01/10/2014 19:40

I know - it's bad having a cupboard full of cheapy tests Smile. I do, however, only have three left so now must ration!

candypop I agree with Mooley - O can def occur at slightly different times each month. Best shuffle a few "appointments" on your schedule!!

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 01/10/2014 17:23

Hello everyone :)

Welcome Boulie fx'd they are pg signs and not just random messed up weird bodily things Grin

Candy Never early. Ovulation is not a fixed event, it can happen any time. If those eggys are ripe enough then out they shall pop!!! Get DTD Grin Loving the sex timetable. That did make me chuckle. Wish i was as organised as that!!!

I am on CD11 but negative OPK today, don't usually ov until CD18 but i had a temp dip yesterday, some EWCM and a temp rise this morning (this also happened last month so think it's just my body being weird). Had to work later than planned yesterday so was too knackered to DTD and I'm not really in the mood tonight either.

We are without child at the weekend so plan to get plenty of sexy time in then Grin. If all goes to plan I should ov next Wednesday so got plenty of time to get those spermies in place.

Bobian 7dpo is very early (I am like Candy though, a notorious early tester) the eggy might only be implanting at this stage.

OP posts:
candypop · 01/10/2014 16:39

I have a positive on OPK??!! Isn't it a bit early?! I'm CD13 and last month I got a positive on CD16??!

candypop · 01/10/2014 15:01

Hold out bobian !!! (Says the girl who tested at 8PO last time) Blush.

I don't think you can miss the window with one missed chance. FX that the other DTD times would get you your BFP !

We have 4 more scheduled DTD Grin before we can take a rest .... Hahaha how ridiculous does that sound hey??! Confused

Bobian123 · 01/10/2014 12:10

Keep us informed 59sound!

candypop loving the timetabling!! It gets you like that. We had it "scheduled" last fri am as I was off to my parents for the weekend but I had an, ahem, upset tummy. Kind of puts a dampener on things when you tell your DH that just before you're supposed to DTD. So we didn't, and now convinced the window was missed! 7 dpo today and might have just tested, even though I know it's too early. Dammit!

Welcome boulie! Yep, the identical symptoms are a real pain in the ass!!

boulie · 01/10/2014 10:56

Oh and I've got super sore nipples! But that could be because I, breastfeeding a toddler.. Wish pg symptoms weren't so much like AF ones..

boulie · 01/10/2014 09:41

Hello everyone, can I join you?

My cycles are a little irregular so I'm not actually sure how many days past ovulation I am, I was going by cm. however, my period is due this week and I'm just not feeling myself. I'm very tired, crampy, really constipated (sorry tmi!) and having to wee all the time (very unlike me).

TTC #2 and driving myself mad. I promised myself I wouldn't test until the end of the week..

Fingers crossed for you all!

candypop · 01/10/2014 08:17

Ah FX that AF doesn't turn up! Do you feel like it's on it's way or do you feel different?

59sound · 01/10/2014 07:05

*crack on (stupid auto - correct!)

59sound · 01/10/2014 07:05

Good luck candypop!

I'm on cd29 - AF due today so will see what happens. Just want to get it over so we can cracking on next month Smile

candypop · 30/09/2014 22:06

How's everyone doing today?

Currently on CD12 so in the midst of the fertility window! DH and I are working very hard at it .... Was too tired to DTD last night so instead this morning at 5am when I went to the loo I thought why not and woke up DH for it Grin .... I said id try to be more relax about it but today at work I have written up a timetable for the next few days Hmm . Still wasn't sure whether to go for the ED or EOD so went for in between so doing it every 1 1/2 days .... Yep I have officially gone bonkers ..... I think it's a good thing I'm taking a couple months rest if this month doesn't work Blush

alien11 · 29/09/2014 20:45

Ah ok thanks mooley
I hadn't read it correctly. I haven't had anyone's on them at all so thought it was positive. I showed peak ovulation on 20th sept- so yes 9 dpo.

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 29/09/2014 19:32

Sorry for all the BFNs/hag whore arrivals. It does suck!!

alien I think you have to get a positive OPK for an indication of upduffedness. Although you have a line it is faint and therefore negative for the OPK. Apparently OPKs can also detect a hormone that is present in pregnancy (not sure which, don't think it's hcg) and some women find that they get positives sometimes before they see a BFP!!!

Not saying your not upduffed though. Still plenty of time. Might be too early to test. You're about 8/9 DPO, yes? Eggy might not even have implanted yet. Keeping finger toes (but not legs Grin) crossed for you!

alien11 · 29/09/2014 16:34

Oh and I must add I'm not thinking I'm pregnant from this result at all! In just intrigued about the hormones in my body at this moment in my cycle
