Another 2ww thread!!!!!

Hi everyone. I'm about to embark on another 2ww (ovulating today) and wondered if there was anyone else out there in the same position who wanted to come along for the ride!

Only cycle 2 TTC #2 but took 13 months last time so crossing everything!!

Could you try and seduce DH? Do some ahem Positions you wouldn't normally do (sorry if that's a bit personal!)? Or promise to do something nice for him tell him it's the last night and he can have a 2w break!! Wink

Tell him this is really important to you and to both of you if you want to have another babba. Plus sex is great at releasing stress!!! I had a shitty day at work today, sex was really the last thing I needed!! Feel great now though Blush

We last dtd Sunday night and the three nights prior to that. Got to try and persuade dh to go again tonight. I could have sworn I o'd yesterday morning as had all the pains- low down cramping that goes between my legs (sorry).

I've been reading about a slow temp rise but know I'm kidding myself.

If only I could cover my bases with dtd tonight I would relax a bit but dh is so stressed and tired it won't be enjoyable.

It sounds like you have covered your bases well, even if you did miss last night. Fx crossed we have a temp rise tomorrow!

scary last month my CM was creamy the day I ov'd, which makes me think I had ov'd in the wee small hours and my body changed when I got up. Could be something similar with you.

I've just checked mine again and it's definitely now sticky whereas there was loads of EWCM throughout the day. Plus I had some cramping so I think I've already ov'd but dtd tonight just in case (wish we'd done it yesterday instead now though). One of those spermies has got to find that egg.

When did you last dtd? If you think you covered your bases then abstaining tonight will probably not make much difference as there should be enough spermies up there to find that eggy ??

ME TOO mooley! I woke an hour earlier than normal and took my temp fully expecting a lovely temp rise and got nothing. I was in disbelief. Did go back to straight back sleep for an hour (didn't get up to go to loo or anything) and took it again on waking and it was high enough for a temp shift but I know deep down that the earlier one (even if it was earlier than norm) was prob most accurate. Sad

Im so confused, I had ALL the normal signs yesterday and cm has changed to creamy today so looks like I o'd.

It wouldn't be so bad but it's going to be hard to persuade dh to keep going with dtd. We were both enjoying the rest. I may just give up this cycle. It's all so hard.

Mooley, I hope you got more positive signs today.

I know there are so many people that have struggled and got there and I know it will Happen it's just a case of when. Good news is that my cm is EW and my cervix high soft and open.

candy I'm with you on the stressful job. Can't see the wood for the trees at the minute with mine!

otter good to see you again. Hope your temps calm down and you get some clear signs of ov soon.

bobian well done for not testing. I'm very impressed! Fingers crossed she stays away!!

mooley keeping my fingers massively crossed for you. Make sure you have a few nice treats planned every now and then to help distract you (it's hard, i know!) My friend took 18 months to conceive first time round - they were DTD every day and got understandably consumed with it all. They did IVF and have lovely twin boys....second time around, she's found out she's pregnant after 4 months of DTD twice a week! These stories probably don't help you much, but I'm really really sure it'll happen for you.

Well, I've given up testing as AF is due Thurs and I'm positive she will show. Totally agree with candy that if i'm preg, I'll find out soon enough!

Hey everyone. I'm back! But not with a 2ww! Don't think I've ovd yet. But who knows! Temps are all over. CBAFM had me high yesterday and today. Today is CD25.

moo just go with the flow is my advice. I got so stressed last cycle I was in tears a lot of the time. Look after your sanity.

I just had a 6 month pregnant lady ask me for my seat on the team. I just wanted to say "how did you do it? Any tips?"!!!!!!! Don't think that would go down too well with the commuters!

.... Haha that was short.... Posted before I finished.... I was saying , try not get too stressed, I know I am one to talk but we do become unhealthy obsessed with it all. You have been DTD EOD so hopefully you will have that eggy covered from all angles.

I think that it isn't a coincidence that people who have trouble to conceive end up getting pregnant when they are due to start IVF treatment. When they know something is being done, they relax and become less stressed and that is a contributing factor for getting a BFP.

This is the approach I am taking his month.... Unfortunately I am not getting stressed about TTC but I am very stressed at work ! Hoping this doesn't affect my chances Confused

Good morning all. How are we all getting on? Any testers this morning?

I am now at a loss as to what my body is up to. Thought i'd wake up to a massive temp rise this morning after yesterdays dip, but nothing....nada. Cervix still high, soft and open but CM seems to not be as egg whitey. I am assuming that i am ov'ing possible today instead but the signs aren't looking good. After it taking so long to conceive our DD I am worried that I might have another 10 months of this!

Will check CM later to see if it can offer any better signs, as the OPKs are proving useless this month.

Hope everyone else is having a better morning. Update later :)

candy I'm with you on that. So true as well. I'd rather wait it out and not have the heartbreak of seeing a string of BFNs!!

I have one FRER and a Digi but no ICs. Tempted to buy some but then know that if I do that I'll test early so best to just not be tempted!

I am really going to try not POAS until AF is due. Just think there is no point ... If I'm pregnant I'm pregnant , if I'm not, I can pee on as many sticks I like but it won't change the outcome !!!

That said ... I think I do have a few free testers from the preseed pack but defo not going to by and FRERs this month Hmm

Absolutely bricking it. having said that I want another while I still have the energy to run around after them.

We are introducing the potty to DD. She sat on it watching CBeebies yesterday afternoon before bed. Seemed to enjoy it, so hopefully by the time a little brother or sister arrive she will be fully trained very wishful thinking

Candy sometimes the increase in progesterone can make you feel a bit sicky. I know i sometimes have that early in the 2WW.

I am now 4DPO ..... Not really feeling any symptoms....still too early right? So feel a little sicky but I think it's all in the mind and I'm coming down with a cold!

Absolutely petrified about having no.2 .... Thinking maybe should start potty training my DD soon !

No news from me yet, thanks for asking ladies. I did another sneaky test yesterday but no luck. Am now 12dpo and have run out of tests, which might be a good thing. There also might be a delivery arriving from Amazon today containing 5 more. Oops. Actually hope they don't arrive for a couple more days so I can't be tempted!

Swinging between feeling like AF is def on the way and keeping that glimmer of hope! Glad i'm near the end of the TWW either way. WHY does it feel so long?

I agree that I thought I'd be relaxed TTC #2 but it seems not! Anyone else feeling nervous about the prospect of having a newborn AND a toddler?!

Scary its spooky that we are not only ov'ing at the same time, but that are sex schedule is almost identical. I can't muster the energy to DTD again tonight so we are also skipping it. Sperm can live for up to at least 5 days in the right conditions, so I am sure that you will be fine if you skip tonight. Gives those best swimmers a good chance to get to the egg! I am planning to DTD again tomorrow, wait for a sustained thermal shift and then call time on the sex for this cycle!

TTC is taking over my life again. I thought it would be different 2nd time around, but i think it might be worse.

Morning!

Woop for the temp dip mooley, good plan with the dtd schedule.

Also hoorah for no break! We thought about it long and hard and both just want a baby and decided for us a smaller age gap is what we want rather than avoiding a summer born. (famous last words- it'll take us YEARS to conceive now and it'll be born on the 31st Aug!)

I woke up with my usual ov pains this morning (horrible) so I'm hoping that was it. Had a temp dip too.

Managed to dtd last night so if the egg did pop this am then the timing was perfect. I don't think poor dh can muster another tonight anyway. Do you reckon we'll be ok to miss today?

Can't wait to join you on the tww candy. Mooley it looks like we are synched! Fx for our temp rise tomorrow.

Well my temp dipped spectacularly this morning. YEY Grin so I am definitely ov'ing today. We managed to DTD last night so not actually going to do it today and then will do it tomorrow. I want to make sure that the best quality spermies are in there waiting for the egg and I have heard that sometimes DTD ED can reduce the quality of the spermies, so although I know that I should DTD tonight, as it is ov day, I am certain that bases have been covered with the EOD method we have been following, so will DTD again tomorrow to make sure and then wait and see what happens.

Although I said that if we didn't catch the egg this month then we would take a break, we have actually decided not to because there is no gaurantee that the egg will be caught before Xmas anyway, so might as well keep plodding on with it. In all honesty I just want another baby, so bugger when they might be born!!!

Candy how far into the 2ww are you? Any twinges of note?

I don't usually get ov pains so can only go off OPKs and temps. Neither of which are proving very useful at present. My lines just aren't getting any darker at all! Scary that's a lovely dark line. Ov is just around the corner! Whoop!

Mooley, those opks look good. Any hint of ov yet? Do you get pains? My body is being v.sluggish. After 3 days of lovely ewcm I finally got my +ve opk today. No ov pains as yet. Dh and I have dtd 3 nights in a row, plan to dtd again tonight so hope I ov soon as I think tomorrow night will be pushing it in terms of stamina!
No hint of any ov pains which I usually get.

Candy- yay for 2ww, let the symptom spotting commence!

Bobian- I hope the witch is keeping away. Good luck.

My stats: ttc #2, cycle 3, DS 23 months.

Its so frustrating bobian!! I would def recommend temping as it lets you know when you've actually ov'd and also gives a heads up when the witch will arrive (my temp normally drops the morning of AF). Makes me feel more in control too!
