Well that's it. After 13 years of being on the pill I am now not. For various reasons I didn't come off a few months ago to allow my cycle to get back to "normal" (who knows what that is when I was on the pill twice as long as I had periods naturally) so I have no idea how long it'll take me to ovulate. Anyone else in the same boat? Having spent my whole adult life assuming I'd get pregnant just by looking at a boy without BC I am now realising it might actually take months or even years to conceive. Plus I'm not talking about this with friends; they either got pregnant vv quickly or are no where near that stage. So, would be great to hear from a few of you in the same boat...

Hi all - AF arrived today for me. That's ok as this cycle is proper ttc! I am so hoping I ovulate on 24th Nov as ff tells me I should so we can DTD as much as pos before then as DH is going away for 5 days! Typical it would be when I am in my fertile week! How inconsiderate!! Haha!

pinkie1982 · 11/11/2014 21:32

For those whose partners are away Confused it's frustrating! I get it. My DP was working away for the first 5 weeks.

Keep at it!

Shellbell0403 · 11/11/2014 21:20

Proof I feel your pain!!
Hubby has been away practically every night except the weekends for last three weeks ???? xx

Joey0805 · 11/11/2014 19:43

Pinkie - whoop!

Proof - ditto, I've been away Sun to now and my DH is away now til Thurs night. My flight landed as he was entering the airport! Sucks...

Congratulations pinkie!

I've been having spotting on and off since Saturday, but still no sign of AF. AF isn't late, but it's odd that I've been spotting for so long without it properly starting. I'm pretty sure I'm not pregnant. Zero symptoms! I hope that timing works out ok next month because DH will have to work away quite a lot Sad He's away mon-wed this week and I miss him!

NighteyesFitz · 11/11/2014 11:05

Congratulations pinkie! Grin

Joey0805 · 11/11/2014 10:39

CD38, 20 DPO, still no sign of AF. So fed up now! I will do another test on Sat just be be 100% sure but I have zero pregnancy symptoms and did POAS at 17 DPO so no reason to think that would be a false negative. So bored of this crappy cycle now!!!

Congrats pinkie!! So happy for you!! Xx

Sorry been quiet for a few days ladies!! Heads all over the place! Hope all is well!!

What's best way to track temp? When do I start? Also what's the best strips to buy? New month and all that!! Can't keep kidding myself one that 'not really bothered' xx

pinkie1982 · 10/11/2014 21:22

Thanks. 2nd test + too! Eeekk!!
Drs booked for weds xx

Good luck everyone!

SockQueen · 10/11/2014 13:39

Congratulations pinkie!

pinkie1982 · 10/11/2014 12:52

I haven't as I am at work now but it came up straight away and is so stong, there is no denying the test is + on this one.
I was in hope but am now in shock! A happy shock. I am flying on Thursday (only an hour flight) and wanted to get in to drs before I go so have an OPA on Weds pm.
It will certainly make my birthday weekend cheaper!

How many of you repeated the test to check it really was +?

tessiegirl · 10/11/2014 12:31

Oooh pinkie congrats on the BFP! Did you do another test?

Hi all - just been reading back through past posts - welcome to all the newbies!

I am on CD26 of my second cycle off the pill and had a bit of pink/browny spotting last night and this morning so expecting AF to arrive pretty soon! If that is the case then I am guessing I did ovulate when CB test told me I had peak fertility which is fab, although my temps didn't really seem to show much of a rise. Going to def start temping vaginally next cycle as I know I sleep with my mouth open and this could have affected my readings!

pinkie1982 · 10/11/2014 08:36

OMG! BFP!!! That was fast. Now what? Do I do another one?? Just in case.

pinkie1982 · 09/11/2014 10:55

Thanks! I got days wrong. Today is 31 so AF I was hoping would cone yesterday at day 30 if same as last month. Think I'm off to buy a test to poas in the morning if still nothing.

I had brown spotting one time last week but I also have erosion that I have had treated twice and sometimes bleed during sex -sorry if TMI! So I put it down to bring that from DTD the previous day :/

TheProofIsInThePudding · 09/11/2014 10:26

Joey I hope AF puts you out of your misery soon.

FX for you on Monday pinkie.

Sorry about the BFN Boobear.

I'm not quite sure what's going on with me. Had a tiny bit of spotting yesterday, which I also got on CD26 last month and AF showed up a couple of days later. I suspect that means I'm not pregnant, but I can't help wondering about implantation bleeding. I'm also in a quandary about whether to test early or just wait it out until Friday. On the one hand I'd just like to know, on the other will I believe it or just think it was too early to test, and on the third (!) hand I think I'd rather not know about a chemical pregnancy. Gah!

Boobear1983 · 08/11/2014 23:40

BFN for me this morning. Only first month trying though..

pinkie1982 · 08/11/2014 17:40

Glad you got to the drs ainat. That's progress in itself!

I am due AF today if was on a 28 day cycle. Last month was 30 days so if no show on Monday I will test. It may not come at all like some as this is only my second cycle.

Joey0805 · 08/11/2014 14:00

Ainat - really pleased to hear that!

BFN for me this morning at 17 DPO, not surprised just want AF now so I can get in with the next go! Currently CD35 so fx not too long to go...

TheProofIsInThePudding · 08/11/2014 09:24

That's great news Ainat both about school's results and how good your doctor has been!

I'm still waiting...

Ainat266 · 08/11/2014 00:01

Heyy...

Welcome to all the newbies!

Sorry I've been really rubbish at getting online this week. Work has been crazy busy. Sooooo much data! On a related note, we have our Ofsted results - good with outstanding features!

I did manage to go to the doctors. This new doctors I'm registered with is great so far! I called up on Wednesday morning in the end (damn my forgetfulness!) I actually told them that it wasn't an emergency, that I needed an evening appointment, but that I wanted advice from a doctor. They gave me an appointment for that evening! I was expecting to have to wait at least a few days as I specifically needed an evening appointment. Way better than the 2 weeks wait my old doctors would have given me! Anywho, doctor I spoke to was very nice. He said what we all know - that it can take a while for cycles to return, that as it's not over 3 months yet he isn't too worried... but without me having to push for anything he offered me blood tests so he can check out my hormone levels. I'm going to not take anything extra other than my vitamins, at least until I get the results back.

The only tricky bit is getting the blood tests done. I have to go to the walk-in blood test bit at the local hospital. Which is open 7.30-5.00 Mon-Fri. I'm hoping that if I go for 7.30 in the morning one morning before school I can still get there on time...

SockQueen · 07/11/2014 16:44

Very sorry to hear that amzo hope you're not in too much pain.

Shellbell thanks for asking, I'm ok, still "enjoying" mother nature's monthly gift (I sound like a Tampax advert!) and off for a weekend at the in-laws...

Joey0805 · 07/11/2014 15:46

Amzo that's incredibly sad news, hope you're ok...
