Well that's it. After 13 years of being on the pill I am now not. For various reasons I didn't come off a few months ago to allow my cycle to get back to "normal" (who knows what that is when I was on the pill twice as long as I had periods naturally) so I have no idea how long it'll take me to ovulate. Anyone else in the same boat? Having spent my whole adult life assuming I'd get pregnant just by looking at a boy without BC I am now realising it might actually take months or even years to conceive. Plus I'm not talking about this with friends; they either got pregnant vv quickly or are no where near that stage. So, would be great to hear from a few of you in the same boat...

Count me in!

I'm in the same boat as OP with 13 years on the pill and just stopped last week, I know what you all mean about panicking about getting pregnant all these years and now anticipating it taking a long while, but we shall see.

Good luck all round!

I had a bleed 2 days after my mirena removal but don't know if that was AF or not. Actually feeling a bit of pmt now so it could be on its way

I'm also just starting TTC#1. Had my implant removed 3 weeks ago tomorrow but no AF yet so just waiting for everything to return to normal really! Hope it won't take too long...

Jcandy · 05/09/2014 08:14

We will start TTC towards the end of the year but haven't told anyone either as I don't want the constant questions/comments

Good luck to both of you!

NotADaffodil · 04/09/2014 22:18

I know exactly what you mean! You spend most of your life trying not to get pregnant then when you decide you want to, you realise how difficult it might be!
