NewlymrsB · 17/08/2014 17:50

My normally cycle is 30-35 days I'm currently on day 44! Did a test on day 37 and 39 both negative. Driving me crazy!! Been off bc for 8 months and had a period every month. I've got back ache, strange shooting type pain in side of boobs and been more tired! Anyone else in the same boat?

AF finally arrived today. humph. Sad

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 20/08/2014 15:02

MooleyWooley - TTC #2, Cycle 2 - AF due 28/09/2014
KeithTheCat TTC #2, cycle 3 after MMC in January, AF due anytime now...

Thought i'd plop us onto one page - anyone joining in can copy and paste the list :)

Fingers crossed that AF doesn't appear though and you are in fact pg :)

KeithTheCat · 20/08/2014 14:12

oooh, good idea.

KeithTheCat TTC #2, cycle 3 after MMC in January, AF due anytime now...

I'll do proper stats if when AF appears. Smile

kaykayblue · 20/08/2014 13:14

I got my AF at 2300 last night - which in my case is not bad news :)

Still it's odd, as normally my AF is pretty light but extremely painful. This month is is pain free but extremely heavy!

I've put it down to a weird moon this month or something Wink

Good luck for all those still in limbo land - I hope you get the result you are hoping for :)

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 20/08/2014 09:06

Thanks Keith i'll still hang around though. In a way I am glad that she arrived because it means i can get cracking this cycle. I have some clomid left over from my last pg attempt so I am going to take that starting from tomorrow to try and boost my ovaries to produce really good quality eggs.

I think I always knew I wasn't pg and even though I am disappointed it was only our first month TTC #2 so I can't expect miracles Grin

Fingers crossed we all get our BFPs very soon!!

We could use this thread as a basis for our TTC journey if everyone wants to. I am going to start the ball rolling and put my stats below.....feel free to add to them:

MooleyWooley - TTC #2, Cycle 2 - AF due 28/09/2014

I know last time I was TTC these forums were the only thing that got me through and kept me sane :)

KeithTheCat · 20/08/2014 07:48

sorry to hear that mooley Sad
I'll be looking out for good news from you. Flowers

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 20/08/2014 06:18

Well looks like I'm out - massive temp drop below cover line and severe cramps this morning which is usual for me. Seems that having sex the day you ovulate does not mean that those swimmers will win the prize. Going to arm myself with pressed for this cycle and go at it full throttle!!

Good luck to those still waiting hope you get some answers soon :)

MaGratgarlik1983 · 19/08/2014 22:51

bfn on the hpt but pos opk - oddness!

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 19/08/2014 21:37

I would do a test ma I have heard/read that positive OPKs after ovulation can indicate pregnancy!!

Oooo how exciting!!

MaGratgarlik1983 · 19/08/2014 20:18

AF is due today and nothing so far although I did get a positive opk?!? Maybe I'm just ovulating really late (i.e. CD 31?) This is all so confusing - good luck ladies!

KeithTheCat · 19/08/2014 19:46

mooley yes! I desperately want a brother or sister for DS. I'm only 23 so everyone tells me I have loads of time. it will happen, I'm sure of it. DS is 4 now and I don't want too big an age gap.

just got the calendar put with DH and tried to work out when we dtd. it feels like we've not done it much but have twice in the last 10 days so there is maybe still a weeee chance of a BFP!

I wish you the best of luck with your ttc journey. this is the first conception thread I've joined in on and it's been lovely to have folk to chat to. Flowers

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 19/08/2014 19:22

Not sure about the sweating lol but you never know. The other things you mentioned are symptoms but that doesn't mean you have PCOS. And even with it you can still ovulate just nor regularly. I had a HSG in March 2012 and fell pregnant the same cycle but it sadly ended in m/c. Did have a few more regular cycles but took clomid anyway because it was all so whacky. My mum also suffered with it and she conceived naturally with both me and my bro.

Fingers crossed that you are actually pg and it's just taking a while to show up on a test (that's what I keep telling myself anyway!)

Sorry to hear about your m/c - it's so hard TTC!!! Sometimes think I should just cut my losses and be happy with my lot but I really want a brother or sister for my DD!!

KeithTheCat · 19/08/2014 18:33

mooley I have been to the doctors before and been referred to gynae. I had scans, examinations and bloods done but they couldn't find anything. I have thought for a while that it could be PCOS but the consultant said I didn't have enough markers for it. I'm thin but not underweight, I was a very spotty teen but they've settled now, a bit hairy but not overly I don't think. tmi - I sweat a lot! is that a symptom?
I conceived DS without much trouble 5 years ago. I also conceived first month of trying earlier this year which sadly resulted in a miscarriage.

I promised myself when I get to 6 cycles after the MC (this is the third cycle. I got AF back in April, so April, May, July I had periods) that I would go back to the doctors.

Thanks

i

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 19/08/2014 16:14

Keith before I had DD my cycles were all over the place and after several months of trying i went to see my GP as I was very late. Turned out that I had PCOS, did not ovulate (maybe 2-3 times a year!) and had high levels of LH and Testosterone. If you are only having a small number of periods a year, with large gaps, I would suggest that you see your GP and have him/her do some blood tests. You can still bleed even though you don't ovulate, they will just be a lot different to a ovulatory cycle. After finally being prescribed Clomid, we conceived DD first month, but the journey there was by no means fun.

Since my periods returned after breast feeding I have had one every month and my cycles seem to average between 36-38 days. I chart and can now do OPKs (PCOSers should avoid OPKs as the LH is always present in high amounts) which has made TTC much easier (although this month is proving to be a complete head fuck!!!)

KeithTheCat · 19/08/2014 15:49

although, the whole of last year when I wasn't ttc I only had 5 periods, sometimes a 2-3 month gap. so they've never been regular and this isn't the longest cycle by any means.

BeetleBelly2013 · 19/08/2014 15:48

Hi All :)

I often read these forums for support/ guidance whilst we have been TTC, so thought i'd bite the bullet and post for once.

I now also face 'limbo land' as I am 4 days late with af but all tests are BFN!! I don't want to get either my hopes up or those of my OH.....is it 'normal' for this to happen? ive never experienced it before and normally af arrives as predicted each month (cd 23 or 26) dependant on ov date.

I should add that I am the MOST impatient person ever!!

Confused
KeithTheCat · 19/08/2014 15:47

another BFN this morning! Sad

mooley I'm not sure when I'm due. my last couple of cycles have been around 40 days. this is now day 47.. I think.. I've lost count! no idea when I ov'd either.

kaykayblue · 19/08/2014 14:55

I know exactly what you mean about the fatigue and the weird sicky feeling.

I don't normally do naps at all, but at the moment I am sleeping straight through the night, and honestly feel like I could sleep a good few hours in the day as well. So lethargic it's not even funny.

Shanghai - maybe you should wait until the weekend? Or until you are 7 days late - I've heard that most tests are accurate by then.

After the test I did this morning I only have one left, so am going to keep it until Sunday and take it then if AF doesn't turn up.

I have no clue how people can say they just "knew" when they were pregnant. About two years ago I had a month where I was 100% positive I was pregnant, yet AF turned up bang on time.

This time I just have no fucking idea and it's incredibly frustrating to not know what's happening with your own body.

ShanghaiDoll · 19/08/2014 14:10

Hi

I hope you don't mind me gatecrashing. I'm currently on day 27 of a 23 day cycle. Have been testing since Friday and all are BFNs.

The weird thing is I ovulated around the 3rd August and a couple of days later I bled for 2/3 days. Nothing heavy enough to be classed as a period but it was definitely there iyswim.

I've also been having symptons such as cramping, fatigue, a weird sicky feeling, being a bit irrational and needing to pee all the time.

So like you girls I'm in limbo land and just wanted to talk to someone else about rather than bore my DH. I also keep talking myself round in circles with the whole am I/aren't I. I'm telling myself I'm testing with tests with quite a high sensitivity and testing at the wrong time of time of day. (Which I am, must be more patient when I get my hands on a test!)

The thing is I'm massively impatient and I just want to know what's going on. Think I need to do a test tomorrow morning and see what the result is and then book myself into the see the doctor.

FX for all those waiting!

CeNedra · 19/08/2014 13:37

I have been through this last month - its the most difficult time.

In my case it wasn't the news I was hoping for.
Apparently I just missed a period - and that was for the first time in my adult life :(
Doctors still have no idea why and most imp how my FSH levels shot to 30 last month. These have now dropped - so TTC again!

Just hang in there girls and keep cool - fingers crossed for all of you!

kaykayblue · 19/08/2014 13:16

Hi MooleyWooley - I don't know for sure when I ovulated - since we aren't TTC it's not something I keep track of.

We had a bit of a misshap last Saturday (so 11 days ago), but I didn't take the morning after pill as I was thinking that I was right at the end of my cycle so there was just no way (I originally thought I was due on midweek last week due to mis counting dates).

I had really bad emotional swings the same weekend, so I might have just ovulated way later than I was expecting.

So I guess it could just be a longer cycle than usual, but I haven't had a cycle that lasted more than 28 days in well over a year.

I do wish that pregnancy symptoms were utterly different to pre menstrual symptoms. It's like a joke of nature that they are both so goddamn similar!!!

Good luck for today - if your cycle seems to have sorted itself out slightly then even if it isn't this month, hopefully it should take way less time than number one.

I totally feel your pain and that of others around here - this isn't even something that we are actively hoping for. I can't even imagine the frustration if actively ttc.

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 19/08/2014 12:36

kaykay do you definitely know when you ovulated? You may have ov'd later than you thought, hence why no AF and BFN - only a thought, it could, of course, just be mother nature having a good old laugh.

I feel your pain - we are actively trying for #2; it took 13 months last time and I just can't bear to go through it again. Only difference this time around is that my body seems to have sorted itself out and I am regular (I have PCOS). I chart and I thought we timed sex perfectly (day I ov'd and a couple of days before), but a string of BFNs yet no hag witch so far (have been cramping on and off all morning and I am due today, so expecting her ugly red face any time!)

It's so frustrating. I have just had some Cake to cheer myself up (I said i wouldn't test today but i have done 3 Blush) only did the last 2 because i thought i could see something faint on the IC; think it was more wishful thinking because the Tesco's test couldn't have been any more negative and i think the last IC i did was an evap.

Angry
kaykayblue · 19/08/2014 08:56

I tested again today - it was a digital clear blue test, and it came back negative. So today is the 2nd day of missed AF.

There was about a 20-25 minute gap between me peeing and me testing though, as I had to actually go buy the test. I don't know if that could have an affect.

I was absolutely 100% expecting AF to come last night. It often arrives in the early hours of the morning, and I was having a slight backache yesterday, which again is normally a sign that AF is on the way. This morning? Nothing.

Today I am feeling really quite nauseous and my boobs feel weird. They don't "hurt" and they aren't sore, they just feel odd.

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 19/08/2014 08:39

Oh MrsB so sorry to hear that. Damn that hag!!! :(

NewlymrsB · 19/08/2014 08:26

The witch showed today and she has come with a vengeance!! 11 days late!
