Hi

I am new to mumsnet and just wanted to start a new thread for those who have maybe just started ttc or have been for a while and their goal is to get a bfp before xmas this year.

I have just started ttc and not long off microgynon so waiting to see what happens. Not telling anyone as me and DP want to keep it to ourselves until bfp to avoid any pressure so just looking for some internet friends to chat to!

Girls, I need a kick up the bum

Still no AF (4 days late now) after two BFNs. My boobs hurt, I am totally irrational ( just had massive strop at DH over exactly NOTHING), slight cramps in the mornings so I think AF is coming but no sign.

I am worried either:

  1. That my cycle is f*cked up again after I thought it had settled and this will put us back in the TTC stakes

or

  1. that I'm pg and have killed/damaged the baby with the copious quantities of wine I've consumed since my second BFN, never for a second thinking that it wasn't right.

Please can someone reassure me? Sad Genuinely feeling horrible.

I know what you been should've googledit, it's small talk isn't it "any plans for any more?"!

shouldnthavegoogledit · 19/08/2014 07:57

Oh, so glad to hear I'm not alone Smile yes, working on not being stressed and focusing on positives. As well as more money, that's more vitamins and hopefully a healthier baby!

One huge thing I've found is that this whole experience so far has been a real eye opener for me. Once upon a time I thought all pregnancies sort of magically (or rather accidentally) happened when you stopped birth control. I never thought you had to work at it (and in some cases that's true of course). I never thought much about people who we're mums or dads, never noticed the endless pushchairs around, didn't notice the massive baby industry really at all. I never really believed the "one day it will just click and you'll desperately want kids" thing either, but that's whats happened to me at 30!

I also wonder how many people I've carelessly hurt over the years by not being that impressed - or worse, asking if they're planning on having more kids. I always meant it in a "would you like a big family" small talk kind of way, but now I think about it, I cringe...

Anyway, off to a non obsessive day at work! Hope you all have nice days!

Hi! I'd love to join this thread if you'll have me! DH and I have been trying since April, currently on cycle #5 TTC #1 and had my copper coil removed mid-April and am taking pregnacare conception multivitamins... Any other advise is greatly appreciated... In currently on the 2WW with AF due on Wednesday and if I get a BFN this month I will be soooo disheartened as with each cycle we don't conceive I keep thinking there is something wrong.... DH and I are both 27, healthy(ish) and didn't think we would have any problems TTC.... Here's to a BFP before Xmas for all you lovely ladies!!!! Grin Xxxx

CP1299 · 18/08/2014 18:48

Congrats one day!
Would love a BFP before Christmas.
Two months today since mirena removed on day 5 of that cycle day 1. Very short cycle only 24 days but cycle 2 was 28 days.
Currently 35 TTC1 cycle 3 day 14!!
Trying not to be too impatient.

creamhearts · 18/08/2014 18:10

Congratulations oneday!

I am on CD9 trying to figure out when I ovulate because my cycles are pretty long (36 days).

shouldnthavegoogledit · 18/08/2014 15:43

Hello Smile Mind if I join? We've just started trying too! Huge congrats to everyone who's had good news already! Now I just have to stop reading all the books and threads on infertility - we've only just started and I'm already reading the IVF info etc etc! Madness... Has anyone else wound themselves up in this lovely way or is it just me?

CabbagePatchCheryl · 18/08/2014 15:05

Hey, that's amazing! Congrats oneday Grin I know it's easier said than done but try not to worry yourself too much - I'm sure this one will stick just fine.

I think this must be a lucky thread girls - babybelle only started it 5 days ago and we've had two BFPs already!

teeniedeenie34 · 18/08/2014 14:58

Aw, congrats oneday that's fantastic news! Very happy for you and wishing you a happy, healthy pregnancy. :-)

OneDayLikeThis2013 · 18/08/2014 13:47

Hi all, just thought I'd update to say that I got a BFP over the weekend.

I'm absolutely worried sick after my MC in June and am just praying that this is a sticky bean. Hopefully I'll be able to relax a bit soon enough? Feeling so very lucky to have caught again so soon after MC but I am quite frankly, terrified.

Lots of luck to all xx

squiish · 18/08/2014 13:33

Hi everyone, also TTC #1 and hoping so much it's before Xmas. Currently 5 dpo so just patiently waiting around. Don't even like to talk about it to not jinx things! :) good luck to all x

teeniedeenie34 · 18/08/2014 11:06

Hello Bluebird and lookingspiffy! :-)

Ah sorry to hear that chickadee, you said AF was very light, is there no chance it could be implantation?

Thanks babybelle1! I have to say I'm not getting my hopes up too much, am more than aware that most of my symptoms are also extremely similar to cycle#1 AF after coming off bcp so I will just have to wait it out and see what happens. But you just never know... Plan to test on Sunday if still no AF then take it from there.

I have my fingers x for you cabbagepatchcheryl! You're not out of the running for this month yet!

CabbagePatchCheryl · 18/08/2014 09:35

Welcome girls! "Sorry about AF" for those who didn't want it and "hurry up AF" to those who do!

Still no AF for me but I've had two BFNs now and I definitely feel she's on her way. I think I've made myself late with the power of my mind! Yet another good reason not to obsessively symptom spot Blush

lookingspiffy · 18/08/2014 09:00

Hello everyone can I join in?

TTC #1, just turned 30 DP is 29... I've been ready to become a mum for sooo long and he has just recently caught up with me and suggested we get on it! Very excited and hopeful!

Good luck to all :)

Bluebird89 · 18/08/2014 08:09

Ooo can I join please.

We're TTC #1 and would love it to happen before Christmas. 5 weeks post implant removal and no AF as yet. Will be glad when she comes so I can work out my cycles.

Good luck to everyone

chickadee87 · 18/08/2014 07:03

No BFP for me yet! I beleive I have just had an extremely light period, which is a good thing as that hopefully means my cycles have restored quickly with a 27 day cycle! So onto cycle #2. Ov due around 27th August if my body behaves!

babybelle1 · 18/08/2014 00:29

Hi everyone!

Af got me on saturday so hoping september is my month.

Thats exciting teeniedeenie keep us posted all sounds very promising I have my fingers crossed for you.

Welcome mussushb I haven't tried ovulation sticks, I am trying to just keep it fun and simple just now but let me know how you get on with them as is something I would definitely consider if it becomes a struggle.

Missushb · 18/08/2014 00:24

Hi, may I join? TTC dc2 since May. So now on cycle # 4. Expecting ovulation any day, using an app and just got some ovulation sticks this month, which I don't know if I will stick with, I'm wondering if its making it all more complicated than it should be! But was so disappointed last month when AF came, so purchased some tools to help in the journey to BFP! Would love a BFP before Christmas! Good luck everyone Wink

teeniedeenie34 · 17/08/2014 22:33

How is everyone getting on? Any testing over the weekend? How did you get on chickadee87, did you test yesterday?

My boobs, especially my nipples have gotten very sensitive and sore over the past 3 days, I've also had lots of watery cm yesterday and today. All of these symptoms point to either AF or bfp. AF due 24/25th I think so may try a frer next Sunday morning.

creamhearts · 15/08/2014 16:24

Thanks Freya and congratulations!
