Hetty, I'm sending you a giant virtual slab of chocolate to cheer you up a little bit!

HettyB · 05/08/2014 18:03

Thanks for all the lovely support guys. I really hope I can get back on the buses soon - I'm feeling really rubbish today, made worse by the fact AF is really heavy :-(

Still waiting for my referral letters (one for the colposcopy, one for an ultrasound for the abdominal pains I've been having)

MaGratgarlik1983 · 05/08/2014 17:11

Hi all! Not been on here for a bit - internet is down at home and I'm trying to stress a lot less about the whole thing this cycle and take a 'if it happens it happens' approach to everything :)
Just on my Ov week now, so DTD as much as poss, but trying to just go with the flow and not get obsessed over everything (easier said than done mind!)

MrsExtraOrdinary · 05/08/2014 16:32

Pikz I bought 3 clearblues this morning in the hope the pink dye in the frers didn't like my wee! Didn't make any difference mind! ;-)

Just went out for a late lunch with dh. I couldn't eat it despite eaten really nothing much all day. I now feel sicker than a sick thing! Please let it be symptom and not a bug! A bug on my child free week is simply not fair! [vom face]

Asda have 2 pack frers for £6 if anyone needs Smile

Shetland · 05/08/2014 16:11

Sounds promising blueberry :)

cinnamongreyhound · 05/08/2014 15:58

I was the same on the pill ohlordyplordy but I stopped taking it nearly 10 years ago!

I genuinely think most people mean well and don't even think about problems ttc unless they've encountered them. I think generally people see it as chit chat, apart from the woman who you refer to Gennibugs, she's clearly an arse!! I totally understand how tough it is though when you're so desparate to have a baby :(

Fb is tough with other peoples babies! Even though I have two I really struggled with my friends announcement and then baby shower when I was desparate for a baby that I believed I'd never have. Let's hope August is everyone's month and you can all tell everyone your good news soon :)

kurama · 05/08/2014 15:11

tickle pics just for you!
genni i bloody wish it was that easy. stupid ignorant ppl! Sad
chandlers that would be a great reply to your cousin
mrse fx its just to early for you x
fx blueberry sounds positive xxx

well im on anti-depressants and they kill my libido Sad but it seems to be getting a bit better, the only thing that is really annoying me is that since going on them its a lot harder for me to orgasm sorry tmi.

tickletink · 05/08/2014 14:59

Thanks for the advice, Sunbathing. I think for this cycle my differences in waking time is going to have had such a big effect already (if it's having an effect at all) that I'll just continue on at the moment and will perhaps look at setting the five o'clock alarm for the next month if necessary. That makes me feel a bit glum - losing that hour a day! Obviously just down to sod's law I won't be able to go to slep when I want to. Grr.

Fingers crossed that your period doesn't show, Farang - but the magnum was a good decision regardless. I always think a little(!) of what you like can do you the world of good. Cake

By the way - are you in Thailland? It's the 'farang' that makes me ask, obv!

Sympathy to you, MaMoPo, regarding the lack of libido thing. Husband and I see to have four phases. Either (1) I want it and he doesn't, (2) he wants it and I don't, (3) neither of us fancy a tumble or (4) we're all over each other. Sadly we're in a phase 1 at the moment I think!

Sunshine, I can't imagine speaking to my husband like your friend!! Good grief, she's got some (pardon me) balls! 'Just stick it in when you're ready' lol!

xBlueberry88x · 05/08/2014 13:38

Wow you lot talk so much lol.

Lucie My dp goes through phases of just not wanting sex which is bloody annoying but he is normally pretty good, and has also been through the you only want a baby not me thing. muppet
Try dressing up and toys it really does help.

chandlers and Gennie* Ive been having people ask about kids for ever, Last one was my dps mum who had never asked before and we were sat in a pub surrounded by people and id just started the checks to see if there was anything wrong with me I nearly burst into tears. Luckily dp stepped in and played the 'he isnt ready card'.

Katy well done might as well get started lol

Spinning my AF isnt due until Tuesday, if it doesnt come two days early like last month.

Teacher Ive had bad spots for a couple of months I definately agree its a hormonal thing

What good to see your positive even though AF arrived good luck for your next month.

Misty fx is a symptom!!

Im about 8 or 9dpo and have been feeling mega nauseous especially after eating breakfast and now again after lunch. I had to really fight not to bring breakfast back up. Never had it this bad before.

Also feeling rather wet down there and boobs still hurt.

JaneyTea · 05/08/2014 13:10

Grin gennibugs, I second what you said about how good it is to be able to come on here and feel less alone; you've all helped me to feel so much better today. Flowers

Sunshinesaz86 · 05/08/2014 12:57

Chandlers that's a really crappy message!! Why don't some people think sometimes, it's so personal to throw comments like that around!

Ladies the whole romance and performing on demand thing is tricky and we're only on cycle two so I wouldn't like to think what we will be like a few months down the line??.......... A friend of mine said that she actually told her husband to sort himself out and just pop it in at the end!! So if your other halves are feeling a bit used just remind them your not asking him to be a glorified turkey baster!! ??

ohlordyplordy · 05/08/2014 12:57

Thanks aprilray. Good to know you have a few days to get it once af arrices. Pants yours arrived one day late :(
I'm cd5 of my second cycle; I think I'll give it a couple more cycles as I've only just started tracking temp and cm.

Aprilray · 05/08/2014 12:50

Ohlordy We tried for 5 cycles before getting the monitor. You can set it up to CD6 (annoyingly mine turned up on CD7)

MaMaPo · 05/08/2014 12:38

I'm really cringing if I ever said anything so insensitive to others about TTC. I'm pretty sure I haven't but before you've been in that position it's difficult to empathise. I also cringe a bit remembering conversations where I've genuinely inquired of someone if they were interested in having children, not knowing either way (and having plenty of friends who intend to remain child free), and finding out later they were in the midst of miscarriages etc. It's a tremendously fraught area.

Lots of empathy and sympathy from me around issues with DTD and feeling connected with your partner. We are hopefully overcoming a massive misunderstanding/issue following on from my huge drop in libido following childbirth/breastfeeding/stupid libido-killing pill, so hopefully it won't be as difficult as it has been. But basically it fucking sucks that so many things (such as those I've listed) can play havoc with a woman's libido. Gah x 1000.

ChandlersFarang · 05/08/2014 12:27

Spinning, sorry you're without wheels... Hopefully only temporary!

What is wrong with all these nosy/insensitive people?! I really hope I never asked anyone that question before I realised how emotionally charged it could be. I'm 32... Have been married 2+ years... Would it not occur to people that we might be trying?! I haven't replied to my cousin yet - might not bother, to save falling out, ha ha!! Luckily Kitty it was a PM, not a wall comment. But seemingly every time I'm in a photo on FB holding someone else's baby I get some moron commenting telling me 'it suits me' which I ignore! Sounds like that happens to all of us - we must rise above it. Or do that thing your oracle 'friend' suggested genni, just try shagging! It really isn't rocket science after all... WinkWinkWinkShock lol.

Annoying timing for that message actually, as I've started getting what can only be described as AF cramps this afternoon - am 9DPO, the exact same day I started getting them last cycle. Which is really bloody annoying, because I've been taking progesterone tablets day and night since 1DPO to lengthen my LP! Gah!! I'll test in the morning if AF hasn't appeared, but have already moved on to getting hopeful about my next cycle (and fucked the low GI PCOS diet by cheering myself up with a Magnum, ha ha!). Was my first month on these new meds, so am still at very early days on the assisted TTC front really. And actually only starting cycle 5 since coming off the pill in Dec (they've just been really loooooong cycles).

ohlordyplordy · 05/08/2014 12:27

I was wondering, of those of you with cbfm, how many cycles did you try without it, before buying? and do you need to have the cbfm ready and waiting for cd1?

ohlordyplordy · 05/08/2014 12:21

Wow, this page moves quickly, struggling to keep up!
Thanks for the welcomes :)
Teachers Coming of the pill can casue spot outbreaks. I've been lucky this time, but a few years back I came off the pill for a while (not ttc then) and had a major breakout - went back on the pill and it all cleared up. Hopefully they'll go when your hormones settle.
The major thing I've noticed since coming off the pill is the change in my libido - I didn't realise just how much the pill was killing it. After such a lull, my OH loves it when my app says we should dtd!
I can't believe that just over a month ago I wasn't even thinking about babies, now it's an obsession, but it sounds like that's normal.

MrsExtraOrdinary · 05/08/2014 12:17

Its possible sunbathing, just not feeling very pg. this time 12 years ago I was so sure I was pg, even though it came up negative for weeks and weeks. I felt really rough. This time just a bit nothingy.

Going to test ov again next month. Haven't done that for a bit. Prepare yourself ladies for me to turn completely neurotic again Grin sorry in advance!

Dare I say my quiet week is actually really boring too quiet! Shock

Chandler and Gennibugs that's so bloody rude to be asking directly like that. But gosh Gennibugs if only your friend had given us that advice before, we'd all be pregnant now if we knew all you had to do was a shag a bit and you'll be pregnant straight away.

Lucieloos I have the same issue with my DH. He mentioned last month that I am obviously 'desperate' and only wanted to DTD to make a baby...that made me feel really good about myself. He worked with someone the other day who said he feels like his wife 'rapes' him every time he gets in from work as they're trying to get pregnant too (it was meant in a light hearted way). So I basically said, yes, and you're going to have to just man up and get used to that until I'm upduffed. It's cd10 for me today, I don't usually ovulate until cd16 but I'm going away for 2 nights tomorrow for work so want to DTD today just in case I ovulate early...DH is on early shifts at the moment, up at 0400 and in bed by 1900 so I don't know how I'm going to be able to convince him to DTD except by directly ordering him. I feel like we should maybe have a conversation about how he needs to make his sperm available to me at all times. Confused

Shetland · 05/08/2014 10:42

Shock gennibugs that's a really insensitive friend! Most people just ask that question without thinking, but to plough on like that is unbelievable.

Aprilray · 05/08/2014 10:29

Sorry to hear you got a BFN MrsE
Chandlers - do it!! Thank you for your words of reassurance re the assisted route. Testing before your trip sounds like a good plan FX for a (triple) BFP!!
Surrey I really hope that the tests next week go well and it was the timing that was the issue. I really think relaxation is important (though it is easier said than done!) DH and I are having a week off work next month so really hoping it is our month!
Kitty and Genni I really hope we all get our BFPs but it is so good to know that we are all in a similar position and if it comes to it can share our experiences.
Treacle I hope you are feeling better today, sorry you are having a tough time Thanks
And Thanks for you too Hetty, pop on and keep us posted.

gennibugs · 05/08/2014 10:22

He's just NOT going to agree to every day - stupid phone! Angry
