Oooooo Nutella of course we understand! However I'm not sure you can keep us all in suspense! Why don't you try a frer which are very sensitive and poas! Sounds like very good symptoms to me Grin

Hi all,
I hope you don't mind me asking this as I've never posted on mumsnet before. I'm going slowly bonkers trying to symptom spot. We weren't meant to be Ttc for another couple of months but had a little accident this month. I have short cycles normally 25/26 days (occasionally a random 28 day).
The accident happened on day cycle day 8. I'm fairly sure based on cm that I ovulate late at about cd16 ish. So in my books I was fairly confident I wouldn't get pregnant. Anyway roll on cd20 (last Friday) and ive been feeling sick, had extreme tiredness, and gag at smells no one else seems to smell like our bin or petrol fumes. These were all symptoms of my previous pregnancies. Yesterday I had pink cm which I don't normally get.
I'd prefer not to poas stick until Friday when I'm late as I've never had a positive test when I've poas early.
What do you guys think? I'm now cycle day 25.

Sorry for butting in on your post but I think I know you'll understand!

Congratulations, fairey, how wonderful!

Lucie, I think you're in good stead for a chance at conception this month. Three and two days before are decent shots even if not on the perfect magical ovulation day! I wouldn't count it out, anyway.

Last night, I told my husband by text on his way home from work that I had been feeling frisky all day. (True.) I told him a few of the things that I had been thinking to get his blood pumping, and we had a bit of a tumble when he got home. It was fairly rushed as I was going out with a friend about twenty-five minutes after him getting home.

I was left very frustrated. I orgasmed and whatnot, but he didn't. When I had done my bit ooh and ahh, he pulled out and said to get ready for my friend. I told him I didn't understand, that we had plenty of time for a quicky, and he just said "No we don't." He left the room and we haven't really spoken since.

I feel like I raped the bloody man. And I feel like HE has made me feel like this, because he didn't say no which he could have if he wasn't in to it.

Do you have any suggestions for how I can explain to him that (1) I am not a total psycho and obsessed with his spunk (which I didn't get last night anyway) - I really did just fancy a shag, (2) it's not okay to fuck me and run if he's not interested (I see it as the equivalent of my literally laying there while he humps me until he cums, which he would never let happen) and (3) all the negativity he's swinging at me about sex since HE suggested we should try for a baby is making me feel utterly worthless.

I don't know how to talk about this without him feeling attacked and it turning into an argument. But I'm really hurt that he thought that was okay.

MrsGingerbread · 06/08/2014 12:31

So sorry to see you here MademoiselleG I am so, sorry for your loss and the terrible time you must be going through.

So glad that you have come back to be with us though - we are all here for you. Thanks

No update from me really, cd 17 here, lots of dtd, ewcm been and gone but no temperature hike. :( Last cycle was a lot longer than normal (31 days, always 25/6 before mc).

I am hoping I am just heading for a later ov and another long cycle.

How's everyone else doing?

lucieloos · 06/08/2014 12:28

Congrats Fairey that's great news! Our first August bfp, it's been a slow start to the month!

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for your tips on getting a sometimes reluctant dh to dtd at the right time. We had an argument last night (not related to ttc) it was cd 11 for me, the day after my positive opk and more than likely my ov day and needless to say we didn't end up dtd again!! I got really upset, I'm 35 and have no children. I feel like we are wasting our chances every month!

Anyway we had a good chat today and I explained all this and said we need to make more of an effort and when I say we need to dtd for the next 3 days then we really do. He said that he has also been a bit worried as well and asked whether we should go for tests to check everything is in working order. We are coming up to 6 months now, which I know isn't long in the grand scheme of things but because of our age I think we are going to get the ball rolling with the tests rather than just plod on blindly.

I'm glad we have cleared the air a bit and have told him how I feel as was starting to get really stressed by it all. Next month we have agreed that I will tell him when the fertile times are (which I also did this month) and we will make more of an effort.

So this cycle I think I ov'd on cd 11/12 and have dtd cd 5,7,9 and 10 (it's cd12 today) I hope we will still be in with a slim chance.

Shetland · 06/08/2014 12:17

Random Q for you lovelies : I'm using internet cheapies to pee on to check ovulation, I'm guessing I'm about CD12, I have been getting a faint chunky line for the last two days when testing in the morning, but when I POAS in the evening I get nada, absolutely NADA!

Now I know I may not have reached my ovulation day yet but I'm a bit confused by the different results on the same day of testing. Anyone have any ideas?

gennibugs · 06/08/2014 11:51

Thanks kitty and chandlers I will check those out on amazon tonight and order a load of them for next month. PIAC at work will be interesting but needs must! I assume you have to hold your wee for a bit beforehand. I have the world's smallest bladder eek! I'm guessing if they are cheap I can pee on as many as I like. For example, I'd ideally do another opk when I get home tonight but I don't think you can with the cb ones. Oh dear they're going to turn me into a poas monster!

cockbollocks love that name! Giggling away to myself here.

my workload is building up and I'm not even symptom spotting as yet! Must. Do. Some. Work.

ChandlersFarang · 06/08/2014 11:45

Ha ha that's what I was thinking! Awesome name!!!! I think between you and BitchPeas you might be my favourites. KittyVonCatsington has a very regal 'I've got a castle in Transylvania full of cats' type ring to it too actually... Atmospheric!!! GrinWink

Oh I think someone asked earlier if I was in Thailand on account of the 'Farang' in my username - well spotted!! I am indeed!! That's what the Thais call white people... Lol!!!! Charming bit of friendly racism Shock

Yay fairy!! massive high fives to you on your BFP!!! GrinGrin Super exciting times!!

genni I used the True 'ultra sensitive' OPKs - they are pink. They give you faint lines with a slight LH detection, then the line has to be darker than the control line to be positive. I didn't realise I had PCOS when I was using them, and I kept getting faint lines but no positive (PCOS gives you random hormone changes inc LH surges during a cycle!)... But when I was given a trigger shot at the hospital to make me ovulate I took an OPK the next day (yeah, just for a POAS-addict-type laugh!!!) and it was my first ever stronger second line! So they definitely work (it was me that was faulty!! Ha ha).

And yes I usually get cramps about 12 hours before AF comes - yesterday afternoon I got enough cramps to give up entirely and get pissed (!!!!)... That craft beer was SOO GOOD kitty!! But now no AF and no more cramps! All day. Just some poky/pully feelings on my LHS. I'm taking progesterone tablets tho so all this new stuff could be just side effects rather than implantation. Either way it's keeping me entertained! And incapable of focussing on my increasing workload... lol!!! ShockGrinGrin

KittyVonCatsington · 06/08/2014 11:21

Genni -past two cycles I have used OneStep OPKs from Amazon. Spent 4 pounds for 50. I still have about 30 left. I also bought some little plastic shot glasses from Asda for a few quid and use those to PIAC and then trow away straight after. I usually test between 2pm to 5 pm and have got really clear positives using them. I also like being able to keep testing to check if i get another surge a few days later.
I truly believe ClearBlue are great for women with normal, textbook cycles. They are rubbish otherwise.

gennibugs · 06/08/2014 11:11

Ooh congratulations fairey! Lovely news. Pop your stats and any tips you might have on here if you get a chance Smile

gennibugs · 06/08/2014 11:10

kitty you've hit the nail on the head. I felt like throwing it at the wall this morning. Im not using them again - think ill have to find some other ones next cycle - any recommemdations anyone? I'm scared to stop dtd in case we miss it but equally don't think poor DH can go on for much longer. He's been great and taken his duties like a man but bless him I'm start to feel his pain (quite literally)Wink .
I think we'll dtd again tonight if we can then have a break tomorrow as DH is away for the night. Sods law ill get my solid tomorrow - nothing ever runs smoothly in this ttc lark!

KittyVonCatsington · 06/08/2014 10:55

Congratulations Fairy ! Flowers have a happy and healthy 9 months

KittyVonCatsington · 06/08/2014 10:54

Just found the new bus! Need to read through and catch up as been away.

My stats are incomplete-

natalie1989xo, TTC #3, cycle 2, BFP due 24th August

Fairey86 · 06/08/2014 10:52

So sorry to hear your news mademoiselle!

Quick update, have tested with SuperDrug early reason dr test and had a positive! This was confirmed by drs this morning (I must be way out with my ovulation dates lol) and have midwife booking appointment scheduled for 28/08 , exciting times :)

KittyVonCatsington · 06/08/2014 10:52

(they make me so angry, I posted twice!) Stupid iPhone Smile

KittyVonCatsington · 06/08/2014 10:51

I still have murderous thoughts towards flashing smileys genni Absolutely soul destroying when you get them day after day and no solid arrives. I completely understand the pressure to keep DTD in case "tomorrow" is the solid smiley day Sad
It is programmed to keep showing flashings until an LH surge so your first oestrogen surge may have led to nothing and you may not have had a "second go" yet. Go easy on yourself and switch to some non ClearBlue OPKs (cheaper!) if you can or at the least, save yourself for that positive xx
