Here is the amazon link:

I've ordered it today as today is 12th month of trying after having AF. Has anyone used it or interested in using it? I like how it works it all out for you as I don't want to spend all that time stressing over learning how to chart myself. You poas when it tells you and insert the stick into the machine and it interprets it for you. Gives you a few high chance days and then the lh surge days. Measures oestrogen and lh. Also can test for pregnancy. You can input when you dtd too and a light and alarm can remind you.

I really like gadgets and technology anyway. If it works I don't care how much it costs. Anyone have any experience with it already? I don't think it's been put long.

JGruner · 09/11/2014 14:31

May I join? Will receive my cbfm in the post on Tuesday. Hubby and I have been 7 months ttc, 4 months ago resulted in chemical pregnancy. I have a regular cycle 27-30 days so I'm hopping this will happen in the first few months. Baby dust to all you others who will be testing soon. Xx

MissMonkey · 08/11/2014 15:34

Sorry to hear about your mc hunni, I'll cross my fingers and toes for you and hope Santa brings you a special present this year. Keep me updated on your poas results so I have an idea of what to expect x

newbiefrugalgal · 08/11/2014 12:02

Hello,
I'm doing my first poas tomorrow with the monitor-very excited although do wish I didn't need it
My story:
Early mc in January. Trying ever since without success. Giving myself this next year(2015) only to try as I'm getting too old and this is attempt for dc3 so I am blessed already.
Fingers crossedGrin

MissMonkey · 08/11/2014 08:28

Hi, hope you don't mind me joining.

I was on the pill for 10 years and I decided that the time was right last December so have been TTC since.
When we started TTC I chose not to tell people, as I have a friend who was TTC for a very long time and everyone started to ostracise her (acting differently around her and felt they couldn't talk about babies in front of her). I didn't want people to act like this around me. I did tell one friend about it as she was going through the same as me so we both had an understanding shoulder to cry on each month when af arrived but she has recently found out she is pregnant so I feel 'alone again'. But I'm obviously not alone as there are lots of ladies here that are sharing their stories and going through the same thing.
At first I would say I took each month in my stride and thought "oh well it will happen next month". After six month I started to think a little differently and the paranoia set in and the crazy/ desperate behaviour started (reading up on tricks/ tips to get pg fast). The guessing has sent me a little mad as all the tricks/ tips where all different and just confused me. So.... I've brought the CBFM in an attempt to take away the guess work. My af is due in two days so I will be able to start using my little gadget...so will be back with lots of questions.

P.S sorry about the essay, I just wanted to get it of my chest x

Joey0805 · 04/11/2014 16:51

I have a couple of questions on the pregnancy testing element of my CBFM:

  1. How sensitive are the tests compared to a FRER for example?
  2. If not quite sure when AF is due but I'm 13 DPO and CD 31 can I trust my BFN to be correct or do I need to rest again on a few days of no AF has turned up?
MaMaPo · 31/10/2014 19:33

Hi Mikeys. This is my first cycle as well. I only had 2 highs and 2 peaks (starting testing late) so we planned to DTD eod for high days, and daily for peaks. That's what we ended up doing, which only made for 3 goes in the end! Fx!

Mikeysmum2906 · 31/10/2014 18:39

My first month using the monitor. I had highs from day 6 til 1st peak on day 16. Is dtd only on 1 peak enough I'm thinking I've missed my ov as didn't dtd until night but got peak with fmu. Oh well least I ov and I was slightly out thinking I ov on day 14 when its 16. What strategies is everyone else using with dtd and the cbf?

Ladyboluna · 31/10/2014 17:42

Had a strange cycle this month - I usually get 3 or 4 highs then peak, this cycle I got 7 highs then af arrived on day 17 when for the last 15 months I've had regular cycles with 26 to 27 days.

Also hello again ladies.

MaMaPo · 29/10/2014 11:40

Oh thanks joey - I'll skip the sticks and just keep on temping.

newbiefrugalgal · 29/10/2014 11:12

Mama- fingers crossed it's a quick process for both of us. Will be all ready once af comes next week or so
And got it right that after first peak reuse a stick to save wasting them.

I really must open my box and read the instructions WinkWink

Joey0805 · 29/10/2014 09:32

MaMa - no need to use anymore sticks: after the first peak it automatically gives you 1 more peak, 1 high then goes back to low so you are literally just wasting money. I haven't POAS since I got my first peak (8 days ago) and have been checking the monitor every day just to see what it says and it has followed exactly the route I described above...

Now just waiting! Does anyone know how sensitive the pregnant tests are? It looks like there's no point using them until AF is due but I don't really know quite when that is! The plan is to wait until 14DPO I think but obviously if I can test sooner I'd like to.

MaMaPo · 29/10/2014 02:27

Hiya newbie, sorry this thread has been a bit quiet.

Yes, day 1 is the first day of AF. Good luck setting up your monitor and getting some info. I hope it helps, and sorry about the miscarriage. This is also my first cycle of using the monitor so I have fingers crossed for both of us!

So I feel pretty happy - I set my monitor up 2 days late so started testing on day 8 instead of 6. It's given me 3 lows, 3 highs and 2 peaks. Should I keep peeing on sticks now that I've had two peaks, or should I just DTD one last time and then stop the peeing (IYSWIM)? I also temp so I'm hoping to see a temp rise tomorrow morning, indicating ovulation. Perhaps if I don't see a rise I'll give it a stick and see what it says.

How are the rest of you ladies getting on?

newbiefrugalgal · 26/10/2014 04:52

I'm about to join too. Bought the kit and will start next cycle.
Stupid q - is day 1, first day of af?
From what I've read here I should not use new sticks after a peak, feed old ones. Until when?
I have not opened the box can you tell GrinGrin
I'm 11 months trying, one mc in that time. Way too old to be trying but giving it one last shot- hence why I've bought the monitor.

Joey0805 · 22/10/2014 11:49

After yesterday's peak I didn't use my CBFM this morning, knowing it wold automatically give me a peak. I did however use a Boots OPK and got a negative (the 2nd line was pretty weak so it was a clear negative)! Is that normal for the lh surge to disappear that quickly? I had assumed it would be there for 2 days in a row.

Joey0805 · 21/10/2014 14:38

Ah great, thanks Foxtrot... Seems a bit silly to use then for the sake of it!

Foxtrot7459 · 21/10/2014 10:46

Ovulation a sticks are in purple wrappers, pregnancy test in white.

Joey you can either use old sticks or just not test. Not testing is prob best as the machine won't misread any sticks (not that's it's reading them now anyway!)

Joey0805 · 21/10/2014 09:23

Hurrah! I got a peak... CD17.

Am I right in thinking the monitor is on auto now and will give me 1 more peak, 1 high then back down to low? If so, do you all just use old sticks rather than wasting new ones?

MaMaPo · 20/10/2014 12:24

Ok, I've set it up as day 4 and will just try to keep track.

I've bought some sticks too - what color wrappers do yours come in?

Foxtrot7459 · 20/10/2014 10:17

I would just tell it that it's day 4 today - should be ok as you will test from day 6 which will only be day 8 for you so unless you ov really early it will be ok. I would however reset it for start of next cycle so it doesn't get confused!

Joey0805 · 20/10/2014 09:05

Give them a ring; given it asks for 1st stick on day 6 I can't see why there isn't a way for you to start using it today?
