Here is the amazon link:

I've ordered it today as today is 12th month of trying after having AF. Has anyone used it or interested in using it? I like how it works it all out for you as I don't want to spend all that time stressing over learning how to chart myself. You poas when it tells you and insert the stick into the machine and it interprets it for you. Gives you a few high chance days and then the lh surge days. Measures oestrogen and lh. Also can test for pregnancy. You can input when you dtd too and a light and alarm can remind you.

I really like gadgets and technology anyway. If it works I don't care how much it costs. Anyone have any experience with it already? I don't think it's been put long.

Butter Peak indicates you are ovulating within 24 hours I think, so it could be any time after the peak.

I've still not had a peak. CD 15!

Hi,

This is my first month of using the monitor. We have been trying for 3 years and have been through failed IVF but have decided to try naturally again. I did use the old Clear Blue monitor years ago but thought I'd give this one a go!

My cycles are normally 26-28 days but I have only just got my first high and I am on CD18!

Wishing everyone lots of luck x

jellypi3 · 30/12/2014 09:25

To be fair it is my DP that is the one obsessed at the moment. He is so focused on us having a baby he is the one checking the monitor in the mornings etc and saying we should be doing it religiously EOD!

Still no peak on CD 13! My cycles are 26-28 days so if I don't get one tomorrow I guess I will assume I have missed it (unless I have a LP defect)!

BertieBoo10 · 29/12/2014 19:03

jellypi if you're anything like me you'll be a woman possessed when you get a peak haha I know I was!! Unfortunately for me my OH was away on a training course on my first peak day but we DTD 15th I got peaks on 16th and 17th and he got back the evening of the 17th and we'd obviously missed each other so we DTD then ;) So it's just a waiting game. We've both been feeling unwell for a week now and I was due on 28th so thinking I've got a bug and it's messed with my cycle perhaps. Was overzealous today and tested got a negative can't say I'm surprised I can do without feeling rotten though!

I have my fingers well and truly crossed for you all but I'm definitely taking Mikeysmum's advice and just enjoying "us"

jellypi3 · 29/12/2014 13:38

Thanks for your replies :)

I got my high on CD11, and again today on CD12. Setting myself up for a number of highs now until I hopefully get my peak!

BertieBoo10 · 28/12/2014 16:03

Haha Mikeysmom same as me "obsessive" haha. Well today was the day of AF and it hasn't come, think I'm being too hopeful gutted I didn't realise I could test this morning. Boo hoo. It said when it turned it on that I could have tested between 5 and 11. hopefully tomorrow I will need to test ;) Be a total miracle mind lol xx

Mikeysmum2906 · 26/12/2014 10:51

Jellypi yes this is normal i get highs from day 10 until peak around day 15. Bbt shows a jump today so think i am ov so maybe doc was right. I just need to chill. Think I'll have a break next month from tracking as getting bit obsessed and stressing myself out which probably doesn't help me. Bertie hope you are ok I felt bit crap yesterday kept thinking how zmas is crap without kids and is this it pmsl.

BertieBoo10 · 26/12/2014 09:36

Yes I truly did feel she went too far but hey. We have done our obligatory visit to theirs and it's back to work for me today so don't have to see anyone.

As for the monitor I didn't get a high until day 12, see my post.

jellypi3 · 26/12/2014 09:20

Hello everyone, first time posting in this thread. I wonder if anyone can help, I have got the CBAFM but i'm on CD9 and not had a high yet. Is this unusually late?

Mikeysmum2906 · 24/12/2014 16:40

Hi Bertie sounds really bad for u MIL went too far. Have u hinted or mentioned ttc? Maybe it was well meant if so. Monitor won't ask for the preg test u can use them if at don't some tho. I'm relived I got a peak yesterday so least am ov. Am now panicked cause we used durex play lube grrr lol. Bertie have a few wee drinks and enjoy your Xmas hunni x

BertieBoo10 · 23/12/2014 22:13

Oh my gosh, I need to vent. Just got back from OH's parents house...and the MIL says "I've got a present for you. Let me go get it"...I'm baffled but also secretly excited. My other half is confused also...Back downstairs she comes and she says "close your eyes and hold out your hands"...So I do...I open my eyes and what do I find...

A pack of pregnancy tests!!

Seriously?!?! Every year she gets something to hint at us having children and every year I have to fake a laugh. She doesn't know what's been happening and tbh neither myself or my other half wish to tell her because she's a busybody and genuinely loves having a good stir of every situation. However, why on earth would you give that to someone as a gift??

Ugh. Feeling utterly fed up today. I've been grumpy and crying for the past 3 days. My stomach is churning constantly and I just want to hibernate until the new year. :(

I hope everyone is having a better time than I am right now with family dramas etcetera. Also, is anyone aware as to when to monitor will ask for a pregnancy test?

Warmest Christmas Wishes xx

BertieBoo10 · 21/12/2014 13:11

No posts for a little while, I hope everyone is well and that Santa brings everyone the "gift" they are so patiently waiting for.

I've spent some days recently speaking with a couple that we are very good friends with who tried for many years and now have a beautiful little girl and honestly just being in their company is wonderful but they also were able to allay some worries that we had as they have experience which was an added bonus.

I must say that if you ladies aren't talking to someone in "the real world" ie a friend/family member I would truly advise it. It feels like a huge weight is lifted knowing I can talk to her any time and that my partner has someone to speak to also.

Sending my warmest wishes to you all xxx

BertieBoo10 · 16/12/2014 07:00

Missmonkey, I can see how easily it could be forgotten. I think mother nature is toying with us! Checking how much we actually want it. And I totally agree two is better than none! I have a few friends who have twins of natural occurance and watching them is just wonderful.

I ran out of the cheap tests and just stopped. I kept up with the monitor though.

I got
Thursday 11th - low (cd 11)
Friday 12th - high (cd12)
Saturday 13th -high (cd13)
Sunday 14th -high (cd 14)
Monday 15th - high (cd 15)
Tuesday 16th - peak (cd 16)

I think I've been so adamant for so long that it's something wrong with me that I'm not ovulating that I was a little taken aback by the peak today, and to be honest a part of me doesn't believe it. Can it be wrong??
Worst part is for the past sort of 4 days we haven't really dtd, we did however yesterday evening as my OH is away on a course for a few days..I mean talk about timing lol. I'm not feeling stressed about it though, I think knowing something is going on is good and I just think when it happens it happens.

Also, joked yesterday with my work colleagues that one of our managers had oddly informed me you "only have to do 3 months to get feel maternity pay" as in work 3 months get pregnant and then 9 months of top is 12 months...And yesterday was our 3 month reviews (which went wonderful and it's lovely to hear they think I'm settling in well) Smile
Also started planning our wedding and a holiday so things are on the up!!x

Mikeysmum2906 · 15/12/2014 18:56

Hi all went to docs today and got told my symptoms are all normal and dtd 2 to 3 times a week. Feel ok but bit like i was fobbed off by doc

MissMonkey · 12/12/2014 21:11

Hi bertieboo, your right it is all about the timing and that's what I have to keep telling myself but sometimes it's easy to forget that. No the blood tests said I ovulate so the consultant said "let's make you extra fertile but the side effects are multiple pregnancies" so of course I said what does that mean and he said "twins"..... Two is better than none right.

I take one tablet a day for five days (cd day 2-6) and should then ovulate between 21st - 26th December.

I did the same and brought the cheap poas but couldn't get my head round them. I think new jobs are great but your right they can be quite stressful so giving yourself to settle in is probably best and fingers x it helps

Missmonkey, I work in the NHS and I know how frustrating it is when told " the tests all look fine" and you're thinking "yes but my patient isn't! !". For me that then makes me thinn it's perhaps all about timing, which is the majority of peoples problem I think (asides from those with proven fertility problems) -they make it out to be incredibly easy to get pregnant when in high school sex ed lessons etc when in reality the window of opportunity is very small. As for the fertility monitor I had read it can take a few months to pick up on ypur "high" "peak" etc. I couldnt wait until next month to use the replacement monitor so I made up a fake cycle start date. Yesterday it read low on day 11 and today it read high so I dont entirely know what to expect this month from it. Ive been using normal cheap LH strips too and theyre still so faint you can barely see the line ( I think im just looking for it when its not there).
So I understand clomid stimulates the ovaries to release eggs, are they thinking you are not ovulating or is this just a standard train of though they follow. Do you take it just once a day? I'm just curious that's all.

I think I'm going to give it maybe 2/3 more months now I'm settling into my job and everything is calming down in the hope that the reduction in stress may help? If not then I'll book in.

Morning ladies hope you are all well. So I continued to test everyday like the machine asked and my 1st month using the monitor didn't prove that great...... Tested from day 6 for 20 days and got high everyday!!! The machine then stopped asking me to test and said I was then low. I went to my gynie appointment this week and all my results came back good so I fall into the unexplained infertility category which I know is good but I can't help but wish it could be explained so I can rationalise it to myself. Iv been prescribed Clomid 50mg tabs that I am going to take cd 2-6 for three cycles and see if that helps (not sure what the machine will think to this or if it will even work with me taking the tabs). Oh and af arrived today which is heartbreaking but I guess it means I can start the tablets sooner than later.

Mikeysmum - congrats on your upcoming wedding that sounds like something really positive to help distract you.

Bertie - I defo recommend making the appointment with your GP because it's a long process, you have to have a few tests at the GP surgery (I had to have bloods and oh had to have a seman analysis - which took us about 6 week) then you get referred to the hospital waiting list. At your first appointment they will want lots of tests which can take another 3 month and then your next appoinment is to discuss the next steps and plan. I would say it's taken us 6 month to get to where we are now.

mermaidthecrazy · 10/12/2014 11:43

Thanks Bertie.. I think I'm gonna use one more new stick tomorrow and if it's low, I can use old ones.

I also send a message to the supplier, they answered; You should continue testing as long as it asks because it's the way that monitor understands the lifetime of the egg. However they may try to sell new sticks :)

I'll keep in touch...

If anyone have any questions I can also answer with my first month experinces.

BertieBoo10 · 10/12/2014 10:24

Hi Merm, I'm new to all this so I'd be intrigued also but from what I've been reading you only get 2 days peak and then it doesn't read any more peaks and I heard something about people putting old tests into it after that so that they didn't waste new ones?

Mikeysmum I'm trying not to be, I'm feeling a lot happier today taking myself off to get my eyebrows done which always makes me feel good. Thought it was time I started to invest some quality time in myself because surely me feeling good can only do good! I'd be really interested to hear what they had to say about your cycles, the only thing that half stops me from worrying too much is that they're regular. It's all very baffling!
x

mermaidthecrazy · 10/12/2014 10:05

Hi Girls, I'm a bit confused, I'd be glad if someone experienced can help me. My monitor resulted LOW between days 6-13, HIGH 14-17 and PEAK 18,19 today is CD 20 and it's High (estrogen line is light blue, LH line is very faint) but it still shows 7 more days yellow means I should continue testing.
Will it stop asking for a new test soon? I am confused that I don't use my other sticks then will it ask for pregnancy test? thanks :)

Mikeysmum2906 · 09/12/2014 18:26

Hi bertie glad boots changed the monitor. Don't be disheartened tho if you get a full month of high readings with the monitor and no peak. It takes a few months apparently to get to know your cycle. Af arrived today which at least means my cycle is on time. Going to monitor the flow see if I'm imagining it. I'll goto docs but got a feeling they won't find anything. Could well be dp that has an issue he takes thyroxin and I forgot about that. So he's agreed if i get all clear he'll go get checked. I feel lot better today thinking I should try and chill a bit and focus on xmas and our wedding. Good luck this month lots of baby dust being sent your way x
