I've ordered it today as today is 12th month of trying after having AF. Has anyone used it or interested in using it? I like how it works it all out for you as I don't want to spend all that time stressing over learning how to chart myself. You poas when it tells you and insert the stick into the machine and it interprets it for you. Gives you a few high chance days and then the lh surge days. Measures oestrogen and lh. Also can test for pregnancy. You can input when you dtd too and a light and alarm can remind you.

I really like gadgets and technology anyway. If it works I don't care how much it costs. Anyone have any experience with it already? I don't think it's been put long.

Hi Ruthie!
BFN for me last month and AF has had her visit, so time to try again this month!
Good luck all

RuthieW84 · 05/05/2015 15:40

Hi, just joining in to see if there are others using the CBFM. I tried it for a month in Jan then other stuff got in the way of ttc. I'm now back to using it again this cycle and have just got peak readings so keeping fingers crossed for next couple of weeks. Good luck to others who are using it

Jackster123 · 21/04/2015 15:59

A bit about me....been trying to conceive for 3 year, had a missed miscarriage at 16 weeks last January, had all the blood tests day 3 day 21. I ovulate every other month,my cycle is 25/26 so short, also had amh levels checked privately as can't get this done on nhs,I have low overian reserve, this is our last chance before maybe moving on to fertitlity treatment.??

Jackster123 · 21/04/2015 14:38

Hi strawberry, like you I'm also new to this site,I've just purchased the clear blue advance monitor, like you had 2 x peak and today high...so finger crossed for us,hopefully we shall get some more people to join

StrawberryPav42 · 19/04/2015 20:36

Hi there

New to thread (and site!) excuse getting used to abbreviations! Can I join?
Am on month 2 of using monitor, just had two days peak, then one high, then one low so on the 2ww now. On month 5 of TTC no 1 after coming off of pill so still early days but amazed at how hard it is not to be excited/disappointed/on a big ol rollercoaster of emotions! Any updates on how people have been getting on with monitor recently?

Fkips · 16/03/2015 14:09

Hi, new here but just wanted to let you know that we found the Clear Blue Advanced Fertility Monitor really helpful. We bought one in December 14 after 6 months TTC. The first cycle it gave lots of highs but no peaks which was a bit disappointing but then the second cycle we got our peaks and then received our BFP this weekend! Probably wouldn't have caught the peaks if it hadn't been for the meter as they were a lot later in the month than I thought they would be.

BertieBoo10 · 17/02/2015 20:35

No posted for a little while on here. I've sort of figured my cycle out now and because it was putting such a massive strain on over relationship my other half practically begged me to stop testing. World's worst fiancé award goes to me. We've booked at holiday for June and wr're just taking it as it comes we've both decided if nothing has happened by the time we come back from holiday (we'll be ovulating whilst we are away but we are aware for my birthday so it'll take the emphasis off baby mania) then we will go to the doctors as it will have been 21 months of trying then... I truly hope others are doing better, it seems that everyone is sprouting wonderful baby bumps at the moment.

All the best xx

HopeFull28 · 04/02/2015 14:02

Jellypi3 going to buy another test to do in morning Hmm
I've read a few comments where the monitor doesn't always pick up the peaks but they have still ovulated.. Good luck

jellypi3 · 04/02/2015 13:31

Hopeful try doing another test with a FRER. They are much more sensitive than the mointors preg test.

Good luck.

Oh I didn't get a peak this month, second month using it. I did get a very clear line on a cheap OPK and a temperature rise on my BBT so I think I did ovulate but the monitor didn't pick it up.

HopeFull28 · 04/02/2015 13:26

Hi all I had 2 peaks 1 on CD14 and 1 on CD15 so DTD and now waiting the cruel waiting game lol done a test when the monitor asked and it was negative ?? but yesterday I done a cheap home pregnancy test and had a very faint second line... Due af yesterday but not yet appeared. Dnt know what to think just want to know for sure! Lol

Katew8912 · 30/01/2015 11:47

Thanks MissMonkey

I am now on my 11th day of testing and had a low the 1st day which has been followed by 10 highs but no peak.

I think I will need to count this month as a write off. I've tried looking at the actual sticks to see what they say but I'm just confusing myself now.

I currently have cramps so I am wondering if I am ovulating just now (which going by other months is when I think I should be).

Myself and my OH have been DTD every other day anyway so who knows, fingers crossed I might not even need the machine any more. Should hopefully find out in a few weeks Smile

birchyboo · 30/01/2015 11:06

So AF came today Sad but I wasn't expecting anything else as OH has been away working g so we only managed to DTD once around my time of ovulation. Try again this month and hopefully the monitor will be able to recognise my peaks Smile

MissMonkey · 28/01/2015 20:24

birchyboo Good luck for tomorrow fingers x keep us updated

jellyp dtd every other day is good and the chances of covering your ovulation I would say are high.

heyarnold I recommend investing in the CBFM, I find it really useful as it holds all you cycle history so you can look back whereas I used to forget how many lows, highs, etc. I had the previous months.

kellie1234 I haven't come across that problem before, perhaps it would be best for you to call clear blue as it sound like a fault with the machine

Kellie1234 · 28/01/2015 00:08

Hi ladies,

Looking for some advice, this is my 2nd month using the monitor which was fine re first month. However, the period symbol is still flashing after finishing my period 6 days ago & it's not yet asking for tests? Any advice would b great. Thanks

birchyboo · 26/01/2015 10:23

Hi all... Well I did my 20th POS with the monitor on Saturday and had a high so I had first 6 cycle days low then 20 highs and now the monitor has stopped asking for sticks and is saying low. From what I can gather this is relatively normal for your first month using the monitor so katew please don't panic if this happens it is just the monitor getting used to your cycle. Myself and my OH have done the BD pretty regularly this month so hopefully we caught my ovulation... AF is due Friday so we shall see. Have had some pretty weird symptoms over the last few days so who knows we could have been successful... but not sure if that's just me reading too much into early signs and symptoms... I am resisting the urge to test until AF is definitely late... Good luck all.

Heyarnold I would definitely recommend the CBADM even though I'm only in my first cycle with it. My cycle runs anywhere from 28 -33 days so hopefully now it is used to my cycle next month it will tell me exactly when I have my peaks. Hope this helps ??

jellypi3 · 26/01/2015 09:23

Hi missmonkey no peak yet :( The second line on the stick was really really faint this morning, so I have a funny feeling tomorrow will be a low. It's frustrating, but DP and I are DTD every other day so if I am ovulating then I hope we are hitting the right time. I think that my body is still messed up from the Depo injection, it'll be a year since my last injection next month, and my periods are becoming more regular, but I do wonder if I'm still suffering the effect of it preventing ovulation! Only time will tell.

Heyarnold i'd say the unit is worth is to identify if you ovulate early / late. But i've not had success with it yet.

heyarnold19 · 25/01/2015 15:57

Hi everyone, I'm new here although been lurking for a while! I'm just looking for a bit of advice on whether the CBFM is worth investing in. I'm just about to go into my 10th month TTC and have used cheap ovulation tests and the CB digital ovulation tests before but not had any luck yet. My cycle is pretty regular (between 26 and 29 days) and I am ovulating regularly so I am getting pretty frustrated that it not happening yet!

So if anyone has any thoughts on whether I should invest or can share any success stories, I would really appreciate it! Thanks.

MissMonkey · 25/01/2015 09:40

Hi ladies, how is everyone getting on?
katew my first month using the CBFM was a flop and I didn't get any peaks so was just like you, doing other tests to compare them but it just confused me. When I started second cycle using CBFM I had bloods done which showed I ovulated when the machine said I had not what the other tests had shown. So now I just stick to my CBFM rather than making myself anxious. Good luck and I hope you get a peak soon.

jellyp have you got your peak yet?

Katew8912 · 25/01/2015 09:27

Hi All,

Can I join this thread?

This is our third month of TTC. I came off my pill in November after 10 years of taking it and stupidly expected to get pregnant straight away.

For the first two months we used clear blue digital monitor and I did get peak days however no pregnancy!

This is my first cycle using the CBFM. I'm now on day 11 of my cycle and so far have had 1 low and now 5 highs in a row! Has anyone else had this? Yesterday I got a high with CBFM but I then double checked this with the other digital monitor I have and it said low, so I don't know what to believe.

I'm really hoping I peak soon. I know it is early but ready feeling disheartened. Part of me wonders if it is just better not to test at all and see what happens!

Thanks

Kate

birchyboo · 21/01/2015 23:10

Well its cd21 and I'm still getting highs... normally have a 29 day cycle so I'm pretty sure I will have ovulated by now... guess we will wait and see if AF appears next week.

jellypi3 · 20/01/2015 08:38

Cycle two of using the monitor, last cycle I had lows from CD6-CD11 and highs from CD12-24.

This time I had a low on CD 6 & 7 and today (CD8) I got my first high!

Fingers crossed I get a peak this time round!

birchyboo · 17/01/2015 10:51

Hi hopeful28 I am on my first month using the monitor and have had highs since first testing on cd6 I am now on cd16 but I think it takes a month to get used to your cycle... Hope this helps

Good on you bertieboo sometimes a little naughtiness is good for you Wink

BertieBoo10 · 13/01/2015 20:59

Well, I got my peak today.
So that's last month:
Day 9 - low
Day 10 - low
Day 11 - low
Day 12 - high
Day 13 - high
Day 14 - high
Day 15 - high
Day 16 - peak

This month:
Day 9 - low
Day 10 - high
Day 11 - high
Day 12 - high
Day 13 - high
Day 14 - peak ( I knew it was coming as excuse the crudeness I was very wet yesterday!)

We DTD last night ended up getting a little too naughty and carried away so that won't be helping with conception haha I'm sure you can guess why Blush . But hey it made us relax and it was the best fun we've had in a long time.

Hopefully lure him into DTD tonight perhaps...lol x

HopeFull28 · 13/01/2015 10:55

Hi all, I'm new to this but have brought a CB Advanced and just started using it first too tests are showing high... Is this right? How long after high reading do people usually get a peak? Thanks and good luck to all Smile

birchyboo · 13/01/2015 10:04

Hi all CD 13 and still high... hoping to get peaks in the next couple of days as have a pretty average 28 - 30 day cycle which my blood tests supported but if not I understand the cbdfm can take a month to get used to your cycle. That's interesting about hormone levels.... I just assumed they would be more concentrated in the morning as you have not urinated in a few hours. My testing window is 7am-11am so it might be worth testing in the afternoons next cycle?? What do you think???

Bertieboo I also recently started running... I read somewhere that gentle running or jogging can help but too much intense running can play havoc with your cycle. I read the rule of thumb is to still be able to talk in short intervals...breathily. but then I am just a beginner runner so it doesn't take long for me to get to that point! Haha
