Here is the amazon link:

I've ordered it today as today is 12th month of trying after having AF. Has anyone used it or interested in using it? I like how it works it all out for you as I don't want to spend all that time stressing over learning how to chart myself. You poas when it tells you and insert the stick into the machine and it interprets it for you. Gives you a few high chance days and then the lh surge days. Measures oestrogen and lh. Also can test for pregnancy. You can input when you dtd too and a light and alarm can remind you.

I really like gadgets and technology anyway. If it works I don't care how much it costs. Anyone have any experience with it already? I don't think it's been put long.

chundercatsarego · 13/08/2014 09:56

Hey all....glad you guys are getting highs/peaks. Fx for a bfp this month! I am on cd14 and still reading low....I guess this makes sense as my average cycle length is 32.5 days so expect I ov around day 20....hoping for a high soon!

croon979 · 13/08/2014 09:02

Thanks Ladyboluna! cd13 and still on a high reading, which is as expected. Fingers crossed for a peak soon!

Ladyboluna · 12/08/2014 17:02

Welcome croon! You should get your peak soon, I got mine on cd14 so I'm sure you'll get yours soon.

chunder The sticks aren't fool proof. It might just randomly say peak tomorrow or the day after.

Hi Chunder - we have only been actively trying for a month so (I have been off the pill for a year but we have been very careful in this time as I wanted to get married before getting pg) we are very new to the whole process. Bought CBFM though as due to my age, I wanted to get on it as soon as I could :)

chundercatsarego · 12/08/2014 14:37

Hi croon how long have you been trying? Fingers crossed for bfps by xmas!

croon979 · 12/08/2014 13:23

I hope you don't mind me joining in.
I am new, both to TTC, the site and CBFM, so just trying to learn as much as I can!
I am 35 and we are trying for baby #1.
I am on my first month of using the CBFM (advanced) and so far it seems to be working as expected. However, I am only on day 12. I have regular cycles of 28 days so I am hoping for a peak in the next couple of days. The CBFM asked me to test from Day 6, I got low readings for 3 days and have had high readings from day 9. I am trying not to get my hopes up too much for a peak as i know that the first month the monitor is sussing you out but it would be very exciting to know for definite when i am ovulating. It must be v exciting DTD knowing that tere is a chance you can get pg.
Anyway, that is me. Best of luck to all those trying.
Would be lovely to be pg by Christmas :) x

chundercatsarego · 12/08/2014 07:20

Day 13 and still low. Gah! Paranoia starting to creep in, even though I have long cycles and logically know I must ov late....

sebsmummy1 · 11/08/2014 18:59

Well they say that it's fairly common to have one anovolatory cycle a year. As I am nearly 40 I suspect nearly every cycle is a dud to be honest.

Many people offer the machine old sticks once they get a peak do they can save money. I will be going this now as I've gleaned enough info for this cycle and I'm pretty sure I'm in the 2ww now going from my CM.

Ladyboluna · 11/08/2014 18:31

Ah I see sebs, my guess was right then. So I guess some cycles us ladies don't even ovulate?

It did ask for a stick after my first peak for me, and then after that it hasn't asked again. Which was annoying this morning as I was on a night shift all night and held my wee for 5-6 hours so that it'll be close enough to normal wee after sleeping (my window was set to the morning as I was mostly on a day pattern).

sebsmummy1 · 11/08/2014 15:50

The monitor automatically gives a second peak and then a high and then low after giving the first peak reading. It pretty much stops reading the sticks after your peak day.

I also read yesterday that you get a High when the machine detects a change in oestrogen, then it stops monitoring oestrogen and looks out for LH instead. If it doesn't detect LH ( as in my case this cycle) it carries on asking for sticks and giving Highs until it's had 20 sticks.

Ladyboluna · 11/08/2014 15:39

Sorry had a phone call - it said high so I guess I'm on the 2ww.

I hope we see our first bfp this month!

Ladyboluna · 11/08/2014 14:57

Well day 16 now and it's no longer asking for tests, just automatically sai

Hi all,

Can I join? Ordered the CB Monitor and went to set it up in anticipation of AF arriving on Wed and it's broken.....arghhhh! They are sending me a new one so hoping it arrives in time. Am TTC no 2 and am on cycle 5 now. Had fertility tests done and thankfully me and hubbie both fine so praying this monitor works! Conceived no 1 in first month so am not coping with BFN's each month! Have been using OPK's but no joy so hopefully this may help pinpoint best times for me! Good luck to everyone else and hoping we see BFP's v soon! X

chundercatsarego · 11/08/2014 11:48

Fingers crossed for you ladyb! Day 12 and still reading low, the app I used would have me high from now til day 16/17/18 then peak so already showing a difference. Hopefully I'll get a high/peak soon, it will help me relax I think Smile

Katybear123 · 10/08/2014 12:25

Thanks lady and chander right decision made if no bfp it's time for clear blue Grin

Ladyboluna · 10/08/2014 11:59

chunder I only got my first high on day 10 so you're not to too wierd a cycle, mine are usually very short anyway.

OP posts:
Ladyboluna · 10/08/2014 11:58

chunder I got my second peak this morning, we dtd yesterday and the day before, can't again now until Monday morning but I think we've done pretty well this month. I get what you mean about stress - not knowing when the beat time was was making me feel anxious.

I would recommend investing too, it's a fun and clever little gadget to use and very easy. You can record when you dtd and how heavy your period is etc. It will also test for pregnancy and each box of sticks comes with 4 pregnancy tests so it would be rude not too! Hehe.

Also katy I found the Cbfm gave me different ov time to the FF app, I actually ovulated 5 days after it predicted for me.

OP posts:
chundercatsarego · 10/08/2014 11:35

How long have you been trying katy?

chundercatsarego · 10/08/2014 11:34

cd11 and still low. Not sure what will happen this month as have been mega stressed at work which usually means a long/weird cycle.

ladyb did you get your peak.

Yes, I would recommend, only my first cycle using it but I already feel more in control and relaxed Grin And currently enjoying just having sex when we fancy for a bit til I ov -feel like the pressure is off. I'm pretty convinced that the reason we've not conceived yet is due to stress/worry etc so hoping this will help!

Katybear123 · 10/08/2014 09:17

Hi ladies cd15 here. I. Not using the cbfm this cycle but thinking about investing next if no luck. We are currently trying to dtd eod this is mostly successful and am charting in 2 apps with cm and how body feels but no opk's. As such both apps have me ovulating at diff times, so we are spanning both but it doesn't feel very reliable or is it me? How are you finding ur cbfm? Would u recommend?

Ladyboluna · 09/08/2014 23:18

chunder Thunderbirds are go! I think days 14-16 are average for most people, isn't it? You should get a high tomorrow! Smile

sebs Ahh I see, so the machine doesn't just read the strip but also looks at the history of your cycle?
It is easy to place too much on opks and temping. And march up to our OH's and say "Darling this contraption here says that we should dtd. Now hasn't that put you in the mood?"

OP posts:
sebsmummy1 · 09/08/2014 09:29

Yep they advise against using the sticks alone because the monitor is using the subtle hormonal differences over the days to make it's decision. One line is oestrogen and the other is LH, bog standard opks use a control line and a test line.

What generally happens is on low days you will have a bright blue line and either an empty space or a very faint second line. Then as OV approaches the bright blue line will get fainter as oestrogen rises and the LH line will get darker which will give you a peak reading. So once you get used to reading the sticks they do tend to give you an idea of things but the main thing is just to have sex lol. I forget that but with all my analysing!! Wink

chundercatsarego · 09/08/2014 09:24

GO GO GO GOOOOO Ladyb!!!! Wink

Sorry to hear about your mc sebsmum, fingers crossed cbfm helps us all.

I'm on day 10, still reading low which is no surprise. Cycles vary by 10 days though so could be anytime from about day 14 I reckon....

Ladyboluna · 09/08/2014 09:13

Hi sebs sorry to hear about your MCs. Glad that you're optimistic and you feel the Cbfm is helpful, it's not foolproof - I think that I hit my peak yesterday afternoon due to ewcm I found, so already knew from natural signs.

I know it says you can't use the Cbfm sticks alone, but I have noticed how they've changed over the last 2 weeks from only one weak line, to one strong line, to two strong lines this morning.
