I've ordered it today as today is 12th month of trying after having AF. Has anyone used it or interested in using it? I like how it works it all out for you as I don't want to spend all that time stressing over learning how to chart myself. You poas when it tells you and insert the stick into the machine and it interprets it for you. Gives you a few high chance days and then the lh surge days. Measures oestrogen and lh. Also can test for pregnancy. You can input when you dtd too and a light and alarm can remind you.

I really like gadgets and technology anyway. If it works I don't care how much it costs. Anyone have any experience with it already? I don't think it's been put long.

Great news on your ovulation otter fx for your bfp.

So I took a pg test this morning and the monitor said not pg, however there is definitely a second line (absolute squinter but it's there) if it was a normal pg test I'd be celebrating but I think these tests must work a little differently so am fully expecting AF to arrive Sad

Hey otter welcome. I'm cd2 according to cbfm tests cd 6 for first time. Excited and scared. How r u finding using fmu? I wake most days about 4 so think I'm going to have to get used to pea'ing in a cup!

otter32 · 01/09/2014 08:32

Hi ladies,

I hope you don't mind me joining in. This is my first post! I'm not up to speed on all the abbreviations, so bear with me!

Been TTC for 4 months since diagnosed with PCOS at age 31. Been charting bbt since then to see if I got peaks, which I have but my temp is very erratic. Cycles can be anywhere between 26 and 56 days. Sometimes have cm, sometimes not. So bought this piece of kit and an now on cd19. Had lows from cd6 to cd14 then highs on cd15 and cd16. Peaks on cd17 and cd18. Low today on cd19.

I must admit, with the likelihood of me not ovulating with the PCOS but this little beauty telling me my hormones seem to be working, CBFM has been worth every penny!

I have my fingers and toes crossed for everyone! Grin

Katybear123 · 31/08/2014 22:03

Hey chander yep this is first cycle using it. Cycle 4 off pill. Honestly thought I would fall immediately (naive I know) so decided time for more science.

Lucy I have 20 sticks at the mo so should b ok for this cycle. Will go for eod on high and ed on peak assuming I get some.

2 quick q's 1- do u guys temp to? 2- it says use urine after longest sleep. I'm going to b on hen do Fri night and sat night so not sure when will get my longest sleep I almost always wake up at 4 ish to wee so will normally just save that and test in morning. Not sure what to do at hen do maybe will save my wees each time. - grr bad timing

After opinions actually ladies... I am now on cd32, usually have a 32-33 day cycle but can be 28-39 days...this month I got my first peak on cd21 so guessing as of tomorrow (cd33) I will be 12dpo. Monitor hasn't asked for a pg test yet though.... does it ask? Or should I go ahead and just test?

lucygooo · 31/08/2014 19:48

Hi Katy it's my first month using it and it has given me high every day since cd8, now cd15. We've dtd eod on the highs, couldn't do every day for so many days! If I get peak we will dtd every peak day.

And just to warn you you might need more than 10 sticks on the first month, I've just used my 10th and it still wants me to test tomorrow and presumably will until I get a peak or I've used 20 and it's obviously missed peak. Think its quite normal to not have peak on first month of using it.

chundercatsarego · 31/08/2014 18:24

Is it your first month using the monitor Katy? It was first month this month and I got loads of lows followed by one high, two peaks then a high. DH was away for the second peak and high so we just did it on the first peak and high. If AF gets me I reckon we'll try and do it every high and peak day....depends how many we get though and how tired we get! Definitely every peak day though!

Katybear123 · 31/08/2014 17:17

Hi ladies so spotting turned into what I think is af, it's v light but it's red and has been for last 2 days so put details into cbfm. It's calling this day 1 for me I guess because of time af arrived.its now asking for stick 1 day 6 and telling me it will keep asking for 10 days. I'm guessing this is normal? Do u guys then shoot for eod on highs and every day on peaks?

Foxtrot7459 · 31/08/2014 14:19

CD 17 here and still high readings!

lucygooo · 30/08/2014 17:11

Hey ladies just thought I would check in. First month of using the cbfm and I'm now cd14. I have had highs every day since cd8 and no peak yet so I am slightly impatient! Been trying to read the lines even though you're not supposed to, at the moment I seem to have two faint lines but a couple of days ago I only had 1 so at least something is happening!

The good news is the cbfm is def helping with regular dtd as both me and dh are making much more effort this month. Fx!

Katybear123 · 29/08/2014 18:17

Excellent thanks

chundercatsarego · 29/08/2014 17:07

First day of full flow before lunchtime

Katybear123 · 29/08/2014 16:40

Hi all dumb question when do u count day 1. Is it the first day of spotting or or flow?

chundercatsarego · 29/08/2014 09:09

Ah ok fox... Re the lines, one is esterogen and one is for lutenising hormone. I think when you esterogen rises (first line) you get your high, then your peak would come with your lh surge/fall in esterogen. When I got a high both lines were similar in intensity and when I got my peak the lh line was darker, so it sounds like the monitor has missed your peak if they are now both fading. It's positive that you've seen the changes though, hopefully you'll get a peak next month

Foxtrot7459 · 29/08/2014 09:01

No idea on testing chunder But I think I've read somewhere that the machine will tell you when you can test

Foxtrot7459 · 29/08/2014 09:00

CD15 and another high, although only one line on stick today where as yesterday there were two and there were feint second lines the few days before. So hoping I've ovulated around 13-14. Will continue to feed it with sticks as it requests them as it is my first cycle. Brings a whole new meaning to the phrase 'pissing money down the drain'!

chundercatsarego · 29/08/2014 08:48

Think I am 9dpo today and am wondering when I can test. I know the instructions say 4 days before period is due but as I am on first cycle it doesn't know what my literal phase is....I presume it will just assume 14 days for the first month so I could test tomorrow? Any experience here anyone?

Whatamuddleduck · 28/08/2014 21:46

Ok thanks, I'll use one in the morning then keep using it, must think of some where to hide it from DP.

Foxtrot7459 · 28/08/2014 21:14

what I would just put old news in until it stops asking! at least you are not wasting any that way

Whatamuddleduck · 28/08/2014 20:44

Help my cbfm is being weird. I got high on days 15, 16,,17 peak on 18 and 19, missed 20, low on 21 missed 22, low day 23, missed 24. Now it's saying don't forget to test tomorrow which is cd25. Surely it should stop asking for sticks now that the high and peak is over. Is this because I missed some days? I didn't get there on time on day 20 and then decided not to give it sticks on the others I've missed as they are so bloody expensive. Have I messed up its calibrating thing as this was my first cycle using it?

Also- where is best to buy sticks from? I got them from boots this time but it has used up lots!

Katybear123 · 28/08/2014 20:34

Hi ladies just popping in to say hi, I think af may just have arrived so will join u properly soon if so. Keep going fox I reckon this might b ur lucky 1.

chundercatsarego · 28/08/2014 09:10

Keep going fox, it might be that the shifts in your hormones are subtler than others- the machine will use this month to get to know you and should be more accurate next month...don't lose heart!

Foxtrot7459 · 28/08/2014 07:27

FFS another high reading here, 9 days in a row now. DH is refusing to dtd stating tiredness so hoping it has missed peak and we've done enough this month.

How's everyone else getting on - should I keep feeding the machine sticks??

Foxtrot7459 · 27/08/2014 20:06

CD 13 here and had all highs so far. Not sure I will get a peak or if I can persuade DH to keep dtd done days 8,10 and 12 and hope to hit 14 too. Should ovulate now, but cycles still messed up after mc.

newbie6 · 26/08/2014 21:55

Hi all

So I went from low to peak, got a peak for 2 days then a high today so noticed monitor isn't wanting me to test tomorrow so am I now just waiting for it to tell me to test for pregnancy?

Keep thinking I must be weird to go from low to peak then high???

Good luck all!

X
