Clearblue advanced fertility monitor (new one with touchscreen)

I've ordered it today as today is 12th month of trying after having AF. Has anyone used it or interested in using it? I like how it works it all out for you as I don't want to spend all that time stressing over learning how to chart myself. You poas when it tells you and insert the stick into the machine and it interprets it for you. Gives you a few high chance days and then the lh surge days. Measures oestrogen and lh. Also can test for pregnancy. You can input when you dtd too and a light and alarm can remind you.

I really like gadgets and technology anyway. If it works I don't care how much it costs. Anyone have any experience with it already? I don't think it's been put long.

Thanks Katy , that is useful. I got high again today but the second line has appeared on the stick so the LH surge must have happened/be happening. As you had ewcm on the same day as peak, which sounds right I suspect that I've just missed ov and that the stick has noticed the tail end of it today. Ho hum, I'll grab DP when he gets home just in case. Good luck to you- exciting to get peak isn't it! X

Hi whata glad to see u bk wondered if u were ok. Re ewcm and peaks, I have only used cbfm this month and I also took epo from day 1 - peak. I had ewcm on day 1 peak, yesterday 2 nod day peak no ewcm just water cm. today a high and v little cm water/ creamy. Not sure it that helps

You can order the sticks from boots online if you are in the uk? Or I guess you could get someone in the uk or elsewhere to buy them and post to you? You can only use the advanced ones in the advanced monitor but can use either in the other one.

Hi guys. After last months disappearing bfp I've been lurking deciding whether to use cbfm again. Couldn't resist the opportunity to poas everyday so I'm back.
Think I might have missed ov though. Had high today and yesterday but had lots of ewcm last night (sorry tmi)- DP isn't home until tomorrow evening. Hopefully I get a peak tomorrow but what do you think? Is it likely that ov happened at the same time as ewcm?
I tried my best to convince DP that he fancied a 200 mile round trip to come and dtd tonight but oddly enough he didn't go for it- damn!

I don't know curly have you tried ringing the clearblue people to ask?

nowwhat - according to the Q&A with clearblue yesterday, their spokeswoman said that the machine asks for sticks in batches of 10. So it will either ask for 10 or 20, nothing inbetween. She says you can save money by ignoring requests for sticks after a peak is detected.

Morning Ladies, I am in a bit of dire straits Confused

The sticks are really hard to find where I live and out of all the pharmacies we have only one stocks them and the majority of the times they are out of stock, so I usually order them from Play.com as Amazon doesn't ship them where I live. As I only had enough sticks for this cycle I made an order last week and now I have been told that they are unable to ship them as they are out of stock Shock

My question is, can I use sticks for the older version of the monitor with the Advanced one?

Mine has asked for sticks for 19 days now. I only have one left. Do they ever ask for more than 20?

(btw I have had 18 consecutive highs now, bit disappointed but will give it another month)

I'm going to use the same test stick after peak is detected too next month I think.

Thanks katybear, AF is here but I have a lot going in in the land of ladyb so haven't thought about it too much. Booked GP as a joint appointment so we can both get the ball rolling for tests, we have the same GP.

Apparently the machine asks for tests in batches of 10, so if you are over that when peak come it will continue until 20 sticks have been tested. I just put the same test stick in day after day.

Peak day 2 here, waiting to see if high tomoz. Monitor want tests for another 8 days surely I will move to low soon after ovulation?

After two peaks you will auto get one more high then a low. I think they say to dtd on both peaks then leave it a day and then do it once more for luck!

Hi lady do sorry to hear u feel fine defo head to the dr's and see what they can do at 14 months I think anyone would understand u bring fed up.

In Katybear land cd17 and a peak. So overly excited. Dh been out dunce crack of dawn with work do need him home for dtd!

Quick q we will dtd today and tomoz as high days do folk then carry on the following day on a high and then eod until bk to low?

So according to monitor AF is due in 2 days, did a test and it was negative so I don't have any hopes for this month.

Now it's 14 months of trying. Booked in to going to the GP on Friday. Really depressed about it now. Going to see whether it's safe for me to have anything for that too as it's on my mind all the time now, every day. I was optimistic every month until I hit the 12 month mark and now it's devastating. Sad

Hey now what so this is first cycle for me monitor got hi on cd 13 and have since I'm pretty sure stuff is going on as I get cramps till u ovulate and this fits time wise.

I have head the first cycle the monitor is trying to get to know u so I guess that might b y the hi's for u

Hey foxtrot and chander I feel ur pain. Foxtrot I to play netball and with it being beginning of season captain asked if anyone had issues commiting to season. At which point someone pipes up well we might get some pregnancies and another says yeah and looks and be and asks 'don't u want kids'. Took all effort I has to say in fucking trying now back off!!!! People r so bloody insensitive!

First cycle using this monitor. Got low on first day it asked me to test (day 6) then high every day since (16 days in a row). Worried I'll run out of sticks before I get a chance to get a peak. My cycle has been 36 days recently. Any ideas?
I'm guessing this monitor gets more accurate by cycle 2 or 3 ?

I feel for you chunder

Having experienced mc I will never again ask anyone when they are having a baby or speculating until I am told - you just don't know what is going on in people's lives and so many of these questions are damn insensitive.

I play netball and have had a knee injury for about 5 months now which meant I couldn't/still can't play. The pregnancy speculation was immense not just behind my back but to my face - worst part was that it was at its worst just when I had mc. One day I will tell them all and am sure they will regret it.

Sorry for those who AF have got....fx for this month.

CD11 today and got a high! First high was cd20 last month!!! God knows what's going on, so glad I've got this little bit of kit!

Went to BBQ yesterday and was designated driver which was clocked by one of dhs mates who then announced at the top of his voice that I must be pregnant, cue lots of awkward denials and people not believing us Angry

Threw up 4 times this morning for no apparent reason either... so seems I have the hassle of being pregnant but no bloody pregnancy!

AF got me yesterday - very very light but here and slightly heavier today. I've re-set my cycle on CBFM and it wants me to test from day 9 this month. Fingers crossed it's a lucky one!

Hi foxtrot eww got carried away just a high, and dtd today just in case. Defo feel like ovulating I get hungry and get cramps, both of which are here just wait to see what happens now if same as last cycle they get worse yet :-)

Peak or high katybear ??

If it's peak you need to dtd everyday, high for eod - good luck!

CD29 for me - got AF like cramps and tiny bit of spotting this morning but nothing since....just waiting for the onslaught now!
