Hi cp!! Thank u for that :) I made DH clean the litter tray out today and he managed it!! :Dbut good to hear about csection scar! I always worry about that. Sounds silly but it gets me so down that I had one :(

Lulu u enjoy urself! Speak to u when ur back!!! :D

Also in regards to birth I hope DC2 will just slide out!!

LuluJakey1 · 30/07/2014 23:04

Well it's the mussels or me Ducky- he can't have both, so we'll see what is most tempting to him Grin

I am too excited to sleep. He is snoring!

I love France and have not been to Paris for lots of years. I once slept outside the station when I was a student and we were inter- railing round Europe. I can hardly remember it.

The thought of a nice hotel is just lovely. I have never stayed in a really nice hotel, apart from when PIL paid for us to have 2 nights in a country house hotel on our wedding night and the next night. DH used the word 'luxurious' earlier on- but by his standards that could mean it had an ensuite and no cockroaches. Grin

Ducky23 · 30/07/2014 22:25

Hi cp! Good luck!

Lulu have a lovely time and keep DH away from the mussels! (Is that how you spell it? Haha) Grin

LuluJakey1 · 30/07/2014 22:22

Cupcake- I. spoke to the vet who said to wear rubber gloves but not to panic about it. This article explains some of the things about it.

cats.about.com/cs/catmanagement101/a/humanpregnancy.htm

Anyway, will see you all on Monday. Hope everyone has a good few days.

CP1299 · 30/07/2014 22:08

Hi cupcake I am new to the thread but a public health doctor so wanted to comment on the cat litter stuff.
Basically cat faeces contains a parasite which causes toxoplasmosis which can cause miscarriage in early pregnancy and stillbirth later on. You can also pass it on to your baby. Read it up on patient.co.uk or similar site.

And re the c section scar, currently you are too early in pregnancy for anything like uterine rupture to happen so do not worry.

Can I join the thread?
I am 35 TTC1 first proper cycle post Mirena.
Was on a period when mirena was removed (it never stopped my periods) so not too sure about that 1.

I am Day 23 and my last cycle lasted 24 days so AF due tomorrow. Probably ovulated on day 13 or day 14 as I had a smiley on day12.

My DH works away most days during the week so this won't be easy!

Hoping this thread brings me luck. Congrats to all you BFP ladies.

Ducky23 · 30/07/2014 22:03

I think it completely depends on you, I managed with dd right up until the end with no pain relief, the only reason I had it was just to see what it's like, I coped fairly well. But when I am in pain I tend to hide it well anyway, there was a woman next door to me making a right show of it Blush screaming and whaling! I said to DH I think she must be pushing a mountain of a baby out BlushBlush

Bearsinmotion · 30/07/2014 22:01

lulu, you'll cope with anything! As long as you trust DP and the midwives. I made sure DP knew exactly what I wanted then left all the thinking to him! He's still complaining how hard it was for him!

I have a new car on order - upgrading the Ford Focus for an Estate! Bit worried DP I won't be able to park it!

LuluJakey1 · 30/07/2014 21:53

Cupcake, maybe I am having a boy- hardly had any MS- just a few days.

Nursery sounds lovely Ducky.

DH just shouted for me to watch last few minutes of OBEM. Did you see the woman giving birth who seemed almost sleepy. She just had gas and air and hardly seemed to have any pain and didn't even seem to be pushing. The baby just sort of slid out. I could cope with that.

Ducky23 · 30/07/2014 21:53

Mines been quit a wriggler recently!! Maybe not though. I don't have much to compare it to as I had an anterior placenta with dd and she didn't move much Confused

I hope he keeps on wriggling Smile makes me feel better

Cupcake92 · 30/07/2014 21:37

That sounds lovely Ducky! :D

aw that'd be nice if we were having a girl. Be nice to have one of each. I do believe boys come with no morning sickness! As I was told they are very lazy in the womb haha!

Ducky23 · 30/07/2014 21:33

We've kept the grey walls and have blue stripey wall paper on the one wall Smile just got to get the curtains, bedding and light shade.

Maybe your having a girl this time cupcake. I had awful awful ms with dd but none at all with this one. Grin

Cupcake92 · 30/07/2014 21:32

Haha lulu Grin I think I've underestimated myself!!
Right this minute (as I'm also trying to watch obem) I'm having to run upstairs every 10 mins to lie DS back down. As he keeps standing up in his cot shouting "MUM MUM MUM MUM" sigh he learnt that word too soon !!

A cuppa tea in bed would be AMAZING! And I might just do that once DS is asleep. Grin

LuluJakey1 · 30/07/2014 21:25

I was telling DH about you being pregnant Cupcake and about your little boy being nearly 1. He said he thinks that is a good gap and we should start TTC when this one is 9 months. I think he is slightly ahead of himself Grin

Back ache and sickness are crap. Can you have a lie down with a mug of tea? Hope you feel better soon. You are definitely getting the sickness at night aren't you?

Ducky, DH is watching OBEM, I'm not. I don't want to think about giving birth. It never looks like good pain to me. What colour did you do the nursery?

Cupcake92 · 30/07/2014 21:17

That's understandable Ducky.
Did u do it all today?

And no I never had ms with DS at all! It was an easy pregnancy up until early labour lol.
I just feel awful this time :(

Ducky23 · 30/07/2014 21:12

I'm watching obem Grin

Have re decorated the nursery today Blush I get carried away. I just wanted it done ASAP, as bad as that sounds as it upset me every time I walked in.

Hope you have a lovely time lulu

Cupcake I was like that with dd, did you have ms with ds?

Cupcake92 · 30/07/2014 21:04

We've been looking at ford focus and also a xsara Picasso.

I feel awful tonight. I'm exhausted, I have horrible lower back pain and I feel so sick I've not even eaten my tea. The thought, sight and smell of it is just awful.
:(

LuluJakey1 · 30/07/2014 20:34

Siarie - that is really the extent of my interest in cars; the colour. It will be me that chooses one though because DH has even less interest.

We never have exotic holidays. Our dream holiday was to drive a camper van down the West coast of America from Canada to San Diego taking in the National Parks and Death Valley, or doing the same in Australia and New Zealand. Suppose that's out now until we retire and the child(ren) have grown up. Usually, we go to France or Ireland or Scotland to cottages.

A nice hotel is a huge treat- and he tells me it is a really nice, romantic hotel, very French and in the Marais. I am really excited.

iamdivergent · 30/07/2014 20:24

mazda are fab; we have a 2 atm which was plenty big enough for two high back boosters. thinking of a 3 next time for the bigger back seats.

OP posts:
Siarie · 30/07/2014 20:03

Lol lulu I love how the only thing you know you want it to be is dark blue Grin

You are right though about the holiday thing, me and DH have a trip to Antigua planned for December as this was our last holiday (hopefully??) before we become three, but need to get my bfp first. That said though we do want to still go on nice holidays, the place we went to on our honeymoon in the Maldives allows children so we decided not to go back there this year and go there as a family.

Antigua is going to be a bit of a baby moon, or if I don't get pregnant by then I'll at least be able to make use of the all inclusive cocktails! I do think you are limited though, we won't be able to go to lots of the couples places I guess :/

LuluJakey1 · 30/07/2014 19:45

I'm sure we will Cupcake. Thank you. Might be our last break alone. Babies don't go with romantic holidays do they? I think it's a good time to go 'cos we're a in a bit of a loved up phase up anyway at the moment. Grin Bit of emotional currency and memories for those sleepless nights when the baby arrives and the next time I am horrible and snappy with him and would like him to go to another planet.

We've got a Renault Clio at the moment. It is definitely past its best and there is hardly any space behind the front seats. But I hate things like Quashquais and 4 wheel drives. We know nothing about cars. I would like a dark blue one and DH would like one that is reliable. Grin

Siarie · 30/07/2014 19:06

Gosh I haven't even thought about cars yet, think I'll consider that once I get a BFP. I did at one point think a Audi Q7 sport as the family car but having driven the smaller version I'm not sure I want to be that high up! (Current car is much much lower lol).

Cupcake92 · 30/07/2014 19:01

It's impossible for me to keep the car I have atm lol
I have a Toyota aygo! Haha! A 3 door one. The smallest car ever!
There's no way I'd fit 2 car seats and a double pram in the boot as there isn't rele a boot in this car :p

And lulu that sounds so exciting!!! Hope u have a great time!

LuluJakey1 · 30/07/2014 18:09

I think we will have to keep this car for a while now Cupcake.

I am so excited. Have done my packing and have put a 'possible selection' out for DH - he can't take that bloody red flowery shirt and his Bradford City top to Paris. He has gone upstairs to pack.

We fly at 11 am in the morning. SIL and her new girlfriend will come tomorrow night and stay 'til Sunday night to look after the cats and we will be back Monday afternoon.
