Me and Iam - just about all of our friends have children. We just wanted to wait. People have kept asking for the last couple of years.

DH's grandmas have been asking us since the wedding 5 yrs ago!
One of them, who is deaf and speaks very loudly, said to MIL- while DH and I were in the kitchen next door, about a year ago 'Why aren't they getting on with it? Is there something wrong with them do you think?'
DH went in and said, cheekily , 'Grandma, we're just practising at the minute. I'll let you know when we are really trying'. She laughed and shook her head- which is often their response to him.

Apparently they are both knitting like mad.

Me624 · 05/08/2014 18:29

Ah ducky glad you scan went well!

Iamdivergent I'm having that ATM too. One of my best friends last week (her dc2) and then at the weekend my BIL's brother - they've only been married a couple of months so didn't hang around! Our time will come though!

Tylastar · 05/08/2014 17:31

Hi ladies! Everything sounds happy round here :)

me good luck on the 2ww!
iam my friends have all gave birth in the last two months and another has twins on the way soon so I've been surrounded by it!
ducky so happy that everything's going well :)

I've been having an aches and pains day I've got pain in my back, right hip and knee. Trying not to take any painkillers though just incase!

LuluJakey1 · 05/08/2014 17:04

Awww Ducky that is good news about the scan- really pleased for you.
You'd think the hospital would keep their word about the other scans- given how anxious you are bound to be. Your midwife might be able to sort it out.

macmissy · 05/08/2014 17:02

Ace news Ducky I have been thinking of you x

Ducky23 · 05/08/2014 16:53

Cp we had a private scan a few weeks ago and he was all too happy to show us he was a boy so we already knew Smile

Cupcake, I had the cramps too and was terrified! I had them for a few weeks, apparently it's everything stretching Grin

Me, fingers crossed!!!!!

Iam, hope you get your smiley soon Smile

Well everything went ace at the scan, he measured perfect for his dates and all his bits and bobs were forming perfectly, he was very keen to show us his bits again Grin but he would not have his picture taken! The sonogropher sent me for a walk and even had a good poke of my belly but he wasn't having any of it! We have lot of pics from private scans and stuff so didn't mind too much but we got some free pics of him wiggling around Smile

Not too happy with the hospital, before we got pg, they promised all this extra care, now they are taking future scans away willy (Grin) nilly and have decided I no longer need to see a consultant Angry as I'm coming up to the time that something went wrong with dd I'm not happy about that but my mw said she is on the case and is going to sort it.

macmissy · 05/08/2014 16:23

We DTD pretty much every day anyway Siarie so it added pressure when there doesn;t need to be one I think (for us anyway) :)

Siarie · 05/08/2014 16:20

Got my positive OPK for this month today, I knew it was coming due to my CM though. Had a big dip in temp today too so should ovulate this evening or tomorrow I hope.

Perfect timing for BD so far here's my chat if anyone's interested.

Sorry to hear you don't get on with OPK tests mac I find them to be reassuring myself. I watch for the other signs but I do like seeing a positive OPK at the right time. Xx

macmissy · 05/08/2014 16:01

Iam don't worry honey, I was (and still am) the same. Try to stay positive. I can't use OPK's anymore - they stressed me out too much.

In fact - if anyone wants the rest of my OPK's PM me your address and I will pop them in the post for you. I bought them from Amazon I think. I can let you know what make they are when I get home (as if that matters!)

iamdivergent · 05/08/2014 15:46

so hard - 2 really good friends have told me they are pg today. I am happy for them but so jealous too. One is the result of a ons. wish I caught as easily Sad

on the up side I am using my cb ov sticks as of today (cd10) got a blank circle but fx I get my fixed smile soon!

Sorry AF got you CP Thanks definitely takes bodies a while to adjust I think.

Right my dtd marathon is finished and the 2ww officially begins! AF is due around the 16th or 17th. I will be trying to stay busy and not obsessively symptom spot!

Cupcake92 · 05/08/2014 13:54

CP ms is okay, went away then came back hahaaa. But the biscuits are helping tbh :)

Lulu yeah my mom always says she'll look after DS over night which is really nice of her. Might ask her for one little night off if she'll have him :p

I've had very bad cramps today :( been happening all day. Very much like AF cramps. If I hadn't had a bfp I'd be telling u guys "AF is about to strike" cuz it really feels like that.hope everything's okay in there :(

You can come round mine if you like LuLu I have tons of jobs you can be getting on with Wink

LuluJakey1 · 05/08/2014 10:05

Ducky Lots of luck today, it will all be fine. Hope your little boy poses for the camera and you see some good pictures. Try not to worry- easy to say I know. Is anyone going with you?

Cupcake Could your mum or MIL have DS. overnight one night so you could get a good sleep and a lie in? You have said before how good they are.

I am full of energy today. So far have cleaned floors in hall, dining room and the stairs, cleaned down woodwork, tidied the kitchen, done two loads of washing and changed the bed! Don't know what has got into me. Having a cup of tea and then will start on kitchen floor with steam cleaner. DH took one look and has gone out Grin. scared he would get some jobs to do

CP1299 · 05/08/2014 09:30

Ducky don't worry. Sure it will be fine. Excited to hear how it goes. Will you find out the sex?

CP1299 · 05/08/2014 09:29

Thanks Cupcake :-)
It is still early days. This is now only my 3rd cycle (2nd proper one without the mirena) so my body is obviously readjusting.

How are you coping with your MS?

macmissy · 05/08/2014 08:45

Morning bradders I am good thanks honey, looking forwards & filled with hope! I have done my hair and have make up on and even have heels on (which I never do for work) so I feel amazing - which is the main thing (and why I have done it to be honest)

Everything WILL be fine Ducky - have a minute and take a breath! It's going to be an amazing day! Thinking of you!

Steph I can't wait, we're thinking of going camping for a couple of weeks, but not sure if we will be able to get round and do everything - I love Italy though, so amazingly beautiful!

LuLu I am going to go for a strapless boobtube type top (which needs to be straight across) and then a drop waist but other than that - no idea!

Happy Tuesday you beautiful lot

Cupcake92 · 05/08/2014 08:45

Silly AF CP :( sorry she had to turn up Thanks

CP1299 · 05/08/2014 08:24

Well AF arrived for me today which means I have even more unpleasant PMS symptoms now!

Ducky23 · 05/08/2014 08:03

Ha lots of x posts! Sorry!

Thanks Steph!

Ducky23 · 05/08/2014 08:02

Thanks 21 Smile

steph1204 · 05/08/2014 08:01

Mac, we went to visit "Venezia" and "Verona" mostly, and we also did a quick stop to "Milano" (only to do some shooping). Venezia and Verona are really romantic and beautiful cities where you could walk for hours... It was nice to see Romeo and Juliet's house in Verona, and you can also attend an open air opera if you want :) We did a little trip on a boat around Venezia and it was lovely, even if we weren't in a gondola (way to expensive...). The italian food and wine are my favourite and they're so cheap!!!

Good luck for your scan today Ducky :)
