The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Rant away monten!
I saw so many pregnant women today. DH asked what was wrong so I actually told him and we argued.
He didn't really understand.

broodylicious · 01/07/2014 20:24

Aaah yes, that's currently a fave with my two year old. She just turned to me as she was falling asleep to say "Poppy little bugger". Yes you are, go to sleep!!!

Boozle80 · 01/07/2014 20:12

The humble 'bugger' is also a great word!

Monten · 01/07/2014 19:43

And hello to all the newbies! Sorry you are here. We are all very nice and like swearing. And talking about the dirty ways we are going to trick our dps into impregnating us. Apart from that though we are most upstanding.

EnglishGirlsReturned · 01/07/2014 19:42

Sorry you've found yourself here Dulcet - you're in the best possible place though.

Sal - glad your appointment went well. Nothing like a bit of pressure to spur the diet on. I also did the 5:2 before my wedding and found it brilliant. Good luck!!

Yay for the heartbeat Daisy - thats amazing news!! Grin

Zebra - don't worry about the colour of the tests. A bfp is a bfp!! And some mild cramping is fairly normal. I know after the shit we've been through it's hard to stay positive but today you are pregnant Smile

Monten · 01/07/2014 19:40

Hi ladies - hurray new thread! Thanks sal for doing that. So much to catch up on.

daisy AMAZING!!! That's just brilliant news, so pleased for you. Keep us posted with how you're getting on.

tanny 'come the fuck in or fuck the fuck off' is my favourite thick of it quote ever. Is it wrong that I slightly fancy Malcolm Tucker? It's all the swearing and rantyness yet cleverness, totally does it for me.

Can I add knobbers to the list? And bell end, there's always room for a bell end. Ahem.

Thanks for everyone cheering me up about July and so sorry some of you also have reasons to hate this month. I don't really, am just being a bit self indulgent. Perhaps July will be the month I get upduffed again? Who knows?

smiling ( I think it was you, I can't scroll back!) I'm so sorry to hear about your Dtd stresses. I can only imagine the stress that ttc after a miscarriage puts on that situation. I have no advice really, just that, if it was me, I would try and shag as much outside the 'window' as possible so when it is the window it doesn't feel as staged. Sorry, that's not much help and I'm sure you're doing that already. It gets bloody exhausting as well doesn't it?

I know we're all being upbeat and positive but can I just have a ranty rant rant? I have a client who got married in September last year. Before her wedding (she was a total bridezilla btw) she kept going on about how she was going to start ttc the minute she was married. I haven't seen her in ages and today bumped into a mutual colleague. The client is seven months pregnant, huge bump apparently, and due in September. How come she gets to meet her baby really soon and I've lost two in the same amount of time? It's just not fucking fair. Knobber bell end.

LadyH84 · 01/07/2014 19:23

P.S just had to google the acronyms POAS and others! Sorry I broke the rules :-) can you forgive? I won't do again now I know! Trying very hard to wait till Friday for my next POAS ....

LadyH84 · 01/07/2014 19:14

Hello Ladies
The banter on here has really cheered me up! I'm 2 time MC TTC. I'm sat on sofa feeling ill, boobs been hurting, gums bleeding, dizzy today! I think roughly 14 days PO expecting the dreaded period at the weekend!! Am I just going plain crazy????????? Have I made up these symptoms??? I'm just going craaaaaaazy convincing myself I'm pregnant...AGAIN! Last month I was feeling sick....the dreaded came. Done 3 test already which is just stupid because clearly to early! WTF do us MC crew do to ourselves? I feel crazy!!!!!!!

ZebraZeebra · 01/07/2014 18:51

Daisybell so pleased to hear that - fantastic news!

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 01/07/2014 18:10

Justonemoretime · 01/07/2014 18:04

Poop or get off the pot. He he

tannyLoo · 01/07/2014 18:03

"Come the fuck in, or fuck the fuck off" has been in my head all day as we watched The Thick Of It last night. Seems apt today!

DulcetMoans · 01/07/2014 18:00

Oh love a good swear, I do! I've watched Anchorman today though so I am enjoying quoting instead - I love lamp! Anything to cheer me up.

Thanks for signposting me here too oneday, glad you've got some extra time off to feel better. Sounds like today had been a big step forward.

Justonemoretime · 01/07/2014 17:42

Silly bollocks. ;)

Boozle80 · 01/07/2014 17:34

Bag of wank - I'd forgotten that! Love it! Or knob cheese is another that often comes to mind!

broodylicious · 01/07/2014 17:31

Dick wad. Yes boozle, I like that. Think I'll start using that. In return, an old fave of mine is bag of wank Wink

Boozle80 · 01/07/2014 17:28

That's amazing news Daisy! Bet you can't stop smiling :)

Oneday I'm glad today is better than yesterday. I'm on pretty much the same so we can be psychotic symptom spotters together in a few weeks!

Marmalade sending you some of my favourite swear words to help you through, knob, bollocks and ffs are amongst them. Feel free to add your own - it always makes me feel a little better! Ooo, dick-wad is another! Other than that, sending you a hug - it's shit when life and home are being rubbish :(

Welcome to all new faces, it's crap you're here but you're in the right place

Marmaladecat1 · 01/07/2014 17:13

Hello!
I'm also still in the wtf cycle day 31.
Apparently today is a fertile day..hmm! Not sure I believe that!
Can't help to try I guess. Not feeling good about this month.
Work is crap and home is crap and it's my bday next month and that's crap too! Woe is me

OneDayLikeThis2013 · 01/07/2014 16:27

Hi everyone!

Phew what a roller coaster 36 hours. After my mini meltdown down yesterday I'm feeling much better today. Thank you all SO much for your words of encouragement and making me feel like I'm not going comepletely mad! Went to the Drs this morning and got signed off for another week though I am planning on going in for a few hours over the next couple of days for a distraction. The midwife then also called me at home this afternoon and we had a good chat. Literally feel like a different person today and much more positive. Even managed to get out to the shops today. The nurse did mention re counselling but the midwife didn't mention it on the phone so I'm not going to pursue it for now.

Dulcet I'm glad you found your way over to this thread, it really is wonderful.

I too am massively confused re AF. Midwife said to expect a proper period within a month as my cycles were like clockwork before but who knows!

Loving all the positivity, the sun is out, it's a new month and we will get pregnant! X

DulcetMoans · 01/07/2014 16:24

bythesea - all my ov knowledge is based on how things work before MC, no idea if things cannot will change after. However, my understanding is you could ov on CD19 of a 26 day cycle but that would give you a short luteral phase. The luteral phase is meant to be consistent every month meaning you should then ovulated around 7 days before AF every month. But whether ov and AF is messed up after MC I don't know. Not sure that helps!

Yay for heartbeat daisy - positivity your way!

Justonemoretime · 01/07/2014 16:17

Thanks for the new thread, Sal. I'm on cd2, and I'm also planning on this month being the month... :)

TinyTear · 01/07/2014 15:39

goodie
Smile

bythesea82 · 01/07/2014 15:32

P.p.s tiny think you might be allowed a permission slip!

bythesea82 · 01/07/2014 15:31

Hello all Smile
Welcome new faces, big hugs for finding yourself here.

Daisy great news for a sunny day!

Please can I pick your full of wierd and wonderful knowledge brains....
So, is there an amount of time post ovulation that ad occurs, I mean if you have a 26 day cycle, could you ov on cd19 or does that not happen. I am sure I must have checked this but am confused whether timing of ov affects cycle length or the 2 aren't linked.
Basically having (another) wierd cycle. EWCM last weekend, around time of excepted ov but more this weekend with cramping, late ov @ cd19? Cycles about 26 days since mc#2. Sorry for the essay and thank you!
P.s thanks for new thread sal

TinyTear · 01/07/2014 15:21

Just a quick question, I am a newbie to the thread even if an old hand at this...

Can I be excused and POAS on other days of the week (like next monday/tuesday)?

I will need to as I finish my cyclogest and need to know whether to continue or save the rest for next month... and neex to contact GP to increase levothyroxine as well

And whether to email Coventry desperately for my results... So I shall be POAS monday or tuesday... sorry Grin
