The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Hello again all, trying to catch up frantically here!

Monten - I hope you have a fabulous holiday and enjoy your brie!

TannyLou - I'm so sorry to hear what you've been through, I'm not surprised you had a melt down, I would have completely imploded Sad

Welcome RiverRocks, Emily and Thinkaboutit, I'm so sorry you find yourself here but this is a lovely group

Wilting - please come and join in properly, it is lovely here Smile

Bloody hell Graysar, that's outrageous! There's no way I'd spend that much. My best friend is getting married in a couple of weeks (which will be 5 days after I find out this has gone wrong and probably 1 day post surgery - thinking positive here! Grin) and I'm griping enough about paying for the hotel and giving them vouchers towards the honeymoon.

Hope everyone else is ok - is anyone POAS-ing tomorrow, or are you all holding on for a while?

I had occ health meeting at work today. She's banned me from going out on site Sad and doesn't seem to understand that not being able to do my job will stress me out more than being able to (if that makes sense). But then a friend sent me stuff on blood lead levels and miscarriage and that was fairly terrifying so maybe I'll just sit at my desk until it goes pearshaped again

greysar · 03/07/2014 18:35

Foxtrot, dude, I would appreciate any advice you have!!! We need to think something up together! (Incidentally, mine is in London too- hopefully not the same one...)

Foxtrot7459 · 03/07/2014 18:25

greysar I too have a hen party in August that I am invited to. It's in London and I don't live there, was going to stay with a friend but they've since moved out of London. So I am faced with train to get there, hotel and the cost of what we are actually doing - I did have the perfect excuse with being upduffed but unfortunately that is no more.

It's at the stage where I have to send money but desperately trying to find an excuse not to go - any advice??

greysar · 03/07/2014 18:04

Ha Lou strained finger! I like it! Grin And the preggas Tube brigade can JTFO. Deffo.

greysar · 03/07/2014 18:03

Oneday I think I agree with what Monten's saying- how much might it stress you out if you are still showing a BFP in two weeks' time, and you don't know if it's real or not... That said, we agreed to wait to TTC again after my MMC until we'd moved house, three months later, and I really wish we hadn't waited that long- so I totally get that the waiting and the not-actively-trying-to-get-pregnant is really really hard!

Monten, thanks- was starting to psych myself out that I was just being a tight bitch! No idea what I'm going to do about it- I like the girl and all, love her fiance, very happy for them, but... I have social anxiety issues at the best of times, and spending a rather large amount of money to stress myself out isn't the most appealing prospect!

Lou07708 · 03/07/2014 17:57

Can I just add that waiting for first AF post erpc is unbearable!!!! I wanted to get on it straight away. Glad I didn't and had AF as it settled my mind. I focused in wine, shellfish, cheese, rare steak and just tried to not think about cycle stuff too much. I stupidly didn't do hpt for negative - only done one a few weeks back to check.

Lou07708 · 03/07/2014 17:53

greysar this is a perfect distraction!!! I'd rather spend the £ on preggas tests!!!! No WAY would I be going to that. Life drawing. No ta. And since when did we all need more than a few drinks and a pat on the back. I say politely decline. Strained finger injury so can't paint???
Currently on tube. The preggas brigade are in full force. Think I'll pretend to be asleep.

EnglishGirlsReturned · 03/07/2014 17:52

Oneday, I'd completely scrap charting this cycle. You won't ovulate until at least a few days after a negative hpt, when you're ready I'd just starts shagging and hope for the best. Don't expect to much, it's not called the What The Fuck cycle for nothing.
I'm at a similar stage. 8 days post erpc, although I didn't bleed at all. Desperately hoping for a negative hot soon Smile

Monten · 03/07/2014 17:48

greysar there is absolutely no way I would spend £220 on a hen do of non close friends and I think is SO rude of them to even expect that! I wouldn't go.

oneday I totally understand the desire to dtd and just feel normal again. I would personally wait until I had a definite bfn. Just in case it takes a while to disappear I would hate to have a tiny question mark over whether it was maybe a new pregnancy. Also, if you are still bleeding and still showing faintly positive then I would think its probably unlikely you'll ovulate this weekend. I think it takes a while for your hormone cycle to kick in again after erpc so not sure it really is CD1? It's all very confusing though.

OneDayLikeThis2013 · 03/07/2014 17:14

Ooooh ladies, all your symptom spotting and 2ww - so exciting!

Now, I may also be in need if a MASSIVE fish slap. Finally stopped bleeding yesterday, 10 days after ERPC. If I were to treat date of ERPC as 'first day of period' then I should ovulate over the weekend. DH is on a stag weekend so I am considering jumping him tomorrow morning and/or Sunday evening just in case. I'm still getting very faint positive tests (well at least I was yesterday) so am I completely mad to consider dtd under 2 weeks after ERPC, not waiting for first AF and still showing mildly positive poas?!! Of course I'm hoping I'll be one of the lucky ones who conceives before a first AF but I'm also really looking forward to being intimate with DH again after months and an obviously rocky time.

I think I know the answer to my question ...

greysar · 03/07/2014 17:10

Good lord, this isn't related to MMC or TTC but I need to vent! A (not close- I know her fiance, not her) friend is getting married in Sept, hen do in August. I was happy to be invited, so said I'd happily attend. Her maid of honour has just emailed the 13 attendees asking for payment for all the stuff she's booked- £220 apiece, for random activities that were never discussed like life drawing!! Not quite sure what to do; much as I like this girl, £220 is a big chunk of cash (which they want in the next month, I've recently moved house) to spend two days with people I don't even know... argh! Shock

Marmaladecat1 · 03/07/2014 17:10

I'm due on the 14th too brummie
That's also the date of my 12 week scan.
I am so pleased I'm going to work that day so I can't sit at home.
I have been a teary mess today. 4 children at work asked me if I was pregnant today. I am never wearing a tunic dress again!
I'm just waiting for AF I can't imagine I caught this month. Fuck knows if or when I even ovulated and if the calculator is right we only dtd 2 days before OV.
This afternoon's swear word is 'fuckity-bye'. Fuckity bye to the Wtf cycle and general waiting.
Normal service needs to be resumed minus tears.

Lou07708 · 03/07/2014 16:58

Oh bloody Nora! The wait is unbearable, the questions re has my mc messed up my cycles, to not test early v blow the budget on test. Disappointment, terror, fear, sadness.
I would say before going through what I have, by day of AF for me (and only me) I would have a bfp. But who bloody knows?!?! None of us which is why we are driving ourselves crazy!!!!

Hope26 · 03/07/2014 16:38

Brummie I suggest you wait until you miss 1 day off your period. Poas before that is torture, but I know you'll probably end up Poas'ing anyway haha

I just did those cheapy cassanovum ones right now.. I thought they all finished but had one left and it's a bfn. To avoid disappointment don't test early, it does break your heart.

Is there still hope? I still haven't got my AF today, maybe my cycle is messed up. It's gone longer? That sucks.

Treaclepie19 · 03/07/2014 16:32

*in
Oh and my skin is terrible!

Treaclepie19 · 03/07/2014 16:31

Joining on with the "I feel pregnant" thoughts.

Bloating like crazy, cramping (worrying about this, right in the middle where I had my mc pain), tired, emotional...
I'm going to be so upset if I get a bfn.

Brummiegirl15 · 03/07/2014 16:13

Hey hope smiling and Monten and everyone else

I'm 6 days dpo and I'm convinced I'm pregnant!!!!! Although I know that is just in my head.

I'm soooo tired, lots of CM, peeing lots and a horrible taste in my mouth and my boobs are a bit of sensitive side oh and I feel v v bloated.

I'm being crazy aren't i? Fish slap ahoy!!! When can I realistically POAS if I'm 6 dpo? Next weekend maybe? I think AF might be due around Monday 14 th / Tuesday 15th

Daren't test too early

bythesea82 · 03/07/2014 14:50

Hello to the new faces Smile sorry you're here but it can be kind of entertaining in a black humour way!

Emily course you shouldn't be having to go through this and I think a cry is healthy. I wish there was more I could say....

In the fish slapping club for cramps/nausea/tiredness. Think 11dpo, AF due sun so might test tomorrow. DH birthday so BPF would be a nice start to the day.

Another due in October... And last June...

I agree with the ones that say we are happy for the ones who know how hard it is to get pregnant and stay pregnant... but the ones that just have to look at a cock and have a child are consigned to the hidden button...

having mixed feeling recently though as I discovered someone is pregnant - she had her first by ivf and thought she couldn't get pregnant naturally but hasn't miscarried so while happy for her, i have my feelings all mixed up... ahhrgh

EmilyPinkOrBlue · 03/07/2014 13:29

Thank you for your lovely messages ladies.
Looking forward to being neurotic with you all trying to get upduffed again!
Just had a little cry as I'm not sure what to do with the little man and his resting place. I just keep thinking that I shouldn't be having to do this and then feeling sorry for myself
Treacle do I recognise you from the December due date thread? Life sucks don't it!

Hope26 · 03/07/2014 13:10

Smiling my cycle is between 30-32 days. So I will wait. I am having cramps so I think it's on it's way. Hate the wait!

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 03/07/2014 13:06

hope id wait a few days my periods have been a bit all over the place since my mmc, I used to be regular as clockwork 32days but ive been 1 or 2 days off either way, first month was 2 days late this month was 1 day early.

but thats me, do whatever makes you feel better, theres no right or wrong.

Hope26 · 03/07/2014 12:29

Ladies I've been getting bfn's for the past couple if days. I don't want to get my hopes up. AF due today. Still hasn't showed up. I've run out of first response preg tests.. Shall I by some more or wait.. I'm getting fed up with testing but want to know if it's still bfn. What would you do?

Monten · 03/07/2014 11:42

Tired, sore boobs, heartburn, 'twinges'..........arrrgh

(passes round fish)

I think we need a fish gradient. A slap with an anchovy and a slap with a tuna are not the same thing. And the records should reflect that.

I think mine are at least marlin worthy.
