The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Thanks lou, you're right. I need to be more kind to myself.

I completely understand marmalade. Was talking to DH earlier about not trying during August so we can pay off the credit card (I built it up after the miscarriage) but that upsets me just as much.
Gah. Everyone thinks I'm fine now but I'm not. I just try to hold it together. If I have a bad day people are like "oh, why are you upset?".
Ummm. Because I miscarried??? I think because it was most likely a blighted ovum people think it's not so bad.
I still lost the whole future I had planned. Ugh :(

Marmaladecat1 · 09/07/2014 22:33

Fingers crossed virgo!

treacle don't feel bad at all for being upset. Hope work tomorrow goes ok.

lou I felt calmed by your post!

I geeky shocking this evening and have the temperament of an utter irrational. I imagine this is run up to AF with added fluey achy body.

I really don't see how I will move on from this. If we stop trying then I'm no better off. Does that make any sense?

Lou07708 · 09/07/2014 22:15

treacle my counsellor told me to be kind and gentle to myself and that means going with the emotions, not trying to hold it together or striving to be the person before this happened. I believe I have changed and will never be the person I was before this and part of the new me is the sad person and that's ok to be like that. Being upset because of AF is normal for us now so don't feel bad about being upset x

Treaclepie19 · 09/07/2014 22:07

Thank you Monten.
I feel so pathetic. Really upset tonight. Had a good cry to DH.
Dreading work tomorrow :/

Monten · 09/07/2014 22:06

treacle am so sorry af came x

Lou07708 · 09/07/2014 22:05

Used to watch it before. Couldn't even consider it now. Can just about make it through a pampers advert without breaking down!

Treaclepie19 · 09/07/2014 22:03

It's too hard to watch isn't it.
My closest friend is due in august. No idea how I'm going to cope.
Selfish I know.

Foxtrot7459 · 09/07/2014 21:59

I have OBEM on series link but have not watched a single episode this series - avoiding it at all costs!

Treaclepie19 · 09/07/2014 21:56

I was just about to post asking if anyone else has stopped watching OBEM :(
I can't bear it since the miscarriage.

Lou07708 · 09/07/2014 21:53

Fx virgo
Crikes, just flicking through tv thinking what to watch and even just seeing 'one born every min' on the display made me teary. I feel for us all Sad Wine

DulcetMoans · 09/07/2014 21:52

All positive so far virgo, can understand your fear but fingers crossed it will all keep going the right way. Happy thoughts your way.

Sorry you are having a glum day mrsbee, it's shit but its bound to happen sometimes. Breaking down at work is hard to deal with though, were they understanding? Hope you are feeling better tomorrow.

I've been prescribed clomid by my fertility clinic which I start once the WTF cycle is over. Anyone had this?

EnglishGirlsReturned · 09/07/2014 21:34

Glad baby is doing well Virgo, although the bleeding must completely scare you. Hopefully all will continue as it should and you will indeed have a baby in your arms in 7 months. Good luck honey Smile

Virgo9 · 09/07/2014 21:13

Thank you ladies, I've still got a long way to go, I'm just taking one day at a time.

Monten · 09/07/2014 20:35

Oh virgo that's such good news!! I'm so sorry it sounds like it has been a real roller coaster for you. But your baby is growing, at the rate it should, and has a heart beat. That is such good news. It's so hard to stay positive, I just can't believe everything will ever be okay. But the most likely outcome, especially now, is you will have your baby in your arms in seven months xxx

mrsbee I really recognise what you say about being upset in a planning meeting. When you miscarry you don't just lose a baby, you lose a future. Hope tomorrow is better Thanks

Boozle80 · 09/07/2014 20:20

Oh Virgo I feel for you, it's great that your babies doing well on the scans - why the hell they don't do reassurance scans every week in cases like yours I don't know. Sending you all the crossed fingers in the world

Justonemoretime · 09/07/2014 20:12

Virgo, sorry you're still having spotting etc, but so pleased baby is doing well on scans. Fx it stays good news. I really feel for you; I had a similar situation with pg3. Getting to 8 weeks is good, hang in there. X

Virgo9 · 09/07/2014 20:03

Hi Monten, I read this thread every evening, to see how you lovely ladies are getting on and I haven't yet build up the courage to join the posifrickitivity yet. I have my fingers crossed for you all. I know what you are all going through.

For the newbies my last post was the day of my 6 week scan (due to spotting) where everything turned out to be ok, since then I had a week where the spotting almost stopped but then I passed I big clot and began bleeding a lot (sorry TMI).
Today I had a scan again and the baby is now 8 wks and had a heart beat. The last week has been so hard, I feel emotionally, mentally and physically exhausted. They have no idea why I am bleeding, if it's continues I have to go back otherwise just go to the 12 wk scan. I'm not sure I can wait that long so will probably go for a private scan at 10 wks if nothing changes. The next few months are going to be so difficult (if I make it that far) but the thing that keeps me going is the thought that if I have baby I my arms in 7 months time all this will be worth it.

Boozle80 · 09/07/2014 18:40

Don't worry Dulcet I just bobbed it up for Hope to see what temping is. I'm saving overanalysing it for at least another week! I just sporadically burst into tears in a meeting at work - very professional! No idea why - we were talking about planning for next year! I'm an emotional mess today!

DulcetMoans · 09/07/2014 18:36

Thanks ladies. Generally we get on really well - quite good friends really. But in this occasion she has indeed been a knob. Good job I am pretty certain that can't have been the case otherwise I would be pretty fucking upset!

Marmaladecat1 · 09/07/2014 18:31

Sorry you had a rubbish day mrsb :(

Marmaladecat1 · 09/07/2014 18:31

Mil is indeed a knob dulcet what an incredibly insensitive thing to say. You did nothing wrong at all.

MrsBeeBeeBee · 09/07/2014 18:24

Dulcet. MIL is a knob. Nothing you did caused the miscarriage.
With regard to pregnancy test, I was told to test in two weeks... Then she saw results of blood test and said make that 3 weeks. So at 9 weeks my hormone levels were high enough for her to think it might take 3 weeks to drop off. I just ordered some so might do one in a week or so just to see.

Thanks for the welcome ladies. I'm not going to lie, it sucks to be here but you ladies have made it slightly more bareable. I'm having a bit of a glum day today as just had a big work restructure meeting and had decided I was going to ask for private consultation to discuss how my pregnancy would effect things.
Instead I sat there trying to work out when I'd get another chance to run to the loo.

DulcetMoans · 09/07/2014 18:01

Mother in law just implied I miscarried because I had an early internal scan. Turns out she doesn't trust these internal scans.

So that was pretty shit.

Marmaladecat1 · 09/07/2014 17:00

Oh treacle that's really crap.

lou hard to know with cm like that. More waiting I guess? Why change the waiting habit?!

I'm most confused been having stabby pains up my erm bits?
And now some almost ewcm? What is going on!! I'm CD39 I'm irregular so could have 14 days to go. Boobs hurt a bit too.
I just give up :(

Lou07708 · 09/07/2014 16:51

Oh treacle that sucks!!!!
