The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

I think I may have to! Otherwise, I'll be worried about drinking too many cocktails Grin

DulcetMoans · 10/07/2014 15:46

Congrats brummie and hope, I expect any excitement is tinged with fear but fingers crossed things will be different this time.

Nearly a married woman then river, exciting! Sending you honeymoon BFP luck! Will you be taking a pg test just in case?

RiverRocks · 10/07/2014 14:09

Hi Ladies,

Sorry I haven't posted in a while - wedding next week so busy planning that!

Congratulations Hope and Brummie! Fingers crossed for you both!

I don't think there's anything to see yet, Brummie. 5 weeks is about the earliest, I think, but if you speak to your GP they should be able to tell you more.

I probably won't get chance to post again before my wedding, but AF is due 3 days into the honeymoon, so if anyone wants to send baby dust my way, I'd be grateful Grin

Otherwise, good luck to everyone POAS tomorrow which might include me if I can't hold out

Brummiegirl15 · 10/07/2014 14:02

Well Birmingham Women's Hospital does have a Early assessment unit but you have to be referred by GP. Alternatively there is a private clinic in Solihull and it's £80 for an early scan.

Am I too early to go to docs and try and get reassurance scan or do I just go to private one at around 7 weeks?

EnglishGirlsReturned · 10/07/2014 13:53

Ahhh Brummie, that's lovely. I'm sure this time it'll be absolutely fine. Good luck! See if you can get an early reassurance scan for 6-7 weeks if you can Smile

Brummiegirl15 · 10/07/2014 13:49

Thanks so much all. I admit, I'm bricking it. I really want to tell my Mum & Dad as v close to them but can't bring myself to.

I had a mc on 23rd May, I was 4+3 - waited one cycle and one AF and then started trying again but I used preseed and the Clearblue opk sticks.

So it's not been long at all. But I remember the doc and all my friends that had mc's and then healthy babies afterwards that you can get pregnant and you will get pregnant.

It's been stressful though , DP has really suffered with inhibited ejaculation as he's really really felt the pressure but we managed to struggle through. He's relieved as he was really started to worry that he was keeping us from catching

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 10/07/2014 13:35

Ahh BFP's for you ladies! How exciting. Keeping everything crossed for lovely sticky beans.

What lovely news to read when I've not been on for a while.

Thinking of you too Virgo and hoping everything goes smoothly for you.

Really hoping anyone else with AF just round the corner receives good news. All these positives means there is hope. How exciting!

Sorry AF fif rear her ugly head treacle here's hoing next month is your month x

Lou07708 · 10/07/2014 12:43

Wow ladies bfp's are great!!! Good luck to you both xxx

Brummiegirl15 · 10/07/2014 12:40

Congrats Hope that's wonderful news.

treacle am so sorry about your AF I know I was really worried about how Id feel about mine.

However I took Lou's advice to POAS so if it was a negative I was almost preparing myself. Am pretty shocked, it's a BFP. Wasn't expecting that.

I feel very strange about it, apart from bricking it!! I'm only 3+1 and I miscarried at 4+3 last time.

So scared the same thing will happen again - I was so naive last time and knew it could happen but never realised it would happen to me.

So with that knowledge - I don't feel excited yet.

But saying to myself, today I am pregnant. Each day is a milestone

greysar · 10/07/2014 12:16

Huge congrats Hope! Grin

Hope26 · 10/07/2014 12:09

Keep us updated smiling I hope you get a bfp too. I actually only had cramping, I never get sore boobs etc except when AF going to start. Sometimes only cramping can be a big sign. Wishing you all the best

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 10/07/2014 12:02

Hope26 · 10/07/2014 11:49

Hope26 · 10/07/2014 11:48

Virgo it must be worrying for you but please try and relax as much as you can. I really hope you have an uneventful pregnancy.

Ladies I tested again with clearblue digital and I got a bfp. I'm still in a shock. Got doc appt today.. I'm so scared

Lou07708 · 10/07/2014 10:13

bythesea bfn today for me, I have a feeling AF is on the way. We are in it together! Here's to next month xx

bythesea82 · 10/07/2014 09:28

Morning all,
AF here this morning so out for another month Sad

DulcetMoans · 10/07/2014 08:26

Sorry about your nightmare treacle, perhaps your brain is on overdrive a little bit.

You make complete sense marmalade, I think that's why people start trying again so quickly, you still have a goal to achieve so you jut plough on!

I've still watched OBEM. I didn't the week it happened but have since. I have managed to separate it from what has happened to me. The thing that does get me if I think too much is I can't imagine me getting to that stage. Hopefully I'm wrong though.

Been cramping quite bad since last night but not sure what it is...

Treaclepie19 · 10/07/2014 02:56

I'm so sorry bythesea, you have been through so much.

Ive just woken up suddenly with a nightmare about work ugh. Now can't get back to sleep because of prod pain. It is so intense it reminds me of the miscarriage. Ouch :(

bythesea82 · 09/07/2014 23:14

English I agree time is how we will get through it as cliche'd as it is. A few years ago my brother died in a car crash, he was 17, 8 months later my dad died unexpectedly, 2 mcs later and some days are so hard but we are all stronger than we think. Heads up, keep going and we'll all get there xxx
P.s sorry for the splurge, having a hard day today x

EnglishGirlsReturned · 09/07/2014 22:53

I'm still obsessed with OBEM. I'm obsessed with all things babies.
It's ridiculous.

Wise words there Lou. Don't be afraid to cry and let it out. It's good for you. It will help you to heal.
I feel like I've changed too. Not massively, I just view things differently.
Time is a great healer, you will all look back at this time and wonder how you got through. But you will get through it.
