The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

lou my periods have been much lighter since my erpc. Having said that, 12dpo could still be too early for a BFP so I would test again in a few days.

Sorry for all the BFNs today ladies, it sucks every time.

I don't think I've ov'd yet as my boobs aren't sore at all today. Guess it's just another random extra long cycle for me this month, just to put the boot in... ordered another bumper pack of opks from Amazon yesterday so will just keep on testing until I get a clear +ve!

sebsmummy1 · 13/07/2014 17:42

I had a two day period this month but it was heavy, unusual for me though. To be honest Lou when you were posting recently I really thought your symptoms were consistent with BFP, I was surprised when it wasn't. Keep testing but if you continue to test neg then it could just be a wonky cycle.

Lou07708 · 13/07/2014 17:33

Hi ladies,

Second AF post tfmr. It's super light. I am on CD 3 and I haven't needed to use anything as yet. I get a tiny bit of spotting if lucky when I wipe. First AF was really heavy for three days. Anyone else had totally random periods in terms of bleeding not cycle length post mc/tfmr??
Going bloody insane!!! Oh and I tested and bfn 12dpo.

Hope26 · 13/07/2014 17:19

Fox I have read that it can take a few months to get back to normal but I haven't experienced that as I got a bfp during my second cycle after mc.

These bfn's can drive you insane and can be depressing, I had about 15 more a bfp, hang in there!!

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 13/07/2014 17:08

I gave in and did a cheapy test today, BFN Sad

af due tomorrow

broodylicious · 13/07/2014 16:36

Lol treacle! How you doing today? Been ages since I got drunk. Might have a little wine later.

sal, naturally it'll be twins!! I'm at ?9/10dpo and still feeling a bit funny. I'm probably setting myself up for a huge fall but I'm defo feeling different to normal and crazily knackered so defo pg sign

Foxtrot7459 · 13/07/2014 16:25

Thanks hope

If your cycle gets longer does it tend to stay longer or gradually work it's way back to pre mc? I know it's probably an impossible question as it's probably different for everyone, however it would help with dates and dtd. I don't use any ov sticks as I don't want to become too obsessed or put to much pressure on DH ( not that there is anything wrong with that of course!)

Hope26 · 13/07/2014 15:49

Fox your cycle can get a bit longer after mc or it can shorten, depends on your body. After D&C I counted that as cd1 due to heavy bleeding and my first AF came cd35 my normal cycle length can vary fr 30-32 days.

It will come and I know the wait sucks but it will come and that means your body has recovered. Hope that helps

Foxtrot7459 · 13/07/2014 15:43

Currently waiting for AF on the WTF cycle. I've had period like cramps and have a big spot on my chin but nothing else. Really really want it to turn up in next couple of days as a) it would mean my cycle hasn't been mucked up too much currently on day 27 and cycles are usually between 26 & 28 and b) the timing for ttc again would fall when I'm on holiday which would be ideal.

Definetly not pg as not dtd since mc - I've never wanted AF to turn up as much as this, on constant wipe watch!

Did anyone else's cycles return to normal straight after mc? It was natural and I've counted dates from day of actual mc and not start of bleeding which was 5 days before.

I need some hope pls!

Hope26 · 13/07/2014 15:41

It's not over until AF shows! Hang in their ladies

Sal1977 · 13/07/2014 14:11

Gah! Went and got a cheapy pg test from Morrisons and it was a BFFN. Bumholes, not doing that again!

Oh well, will keep on keeping on. Just a stone to lose then we're ICSI bound which will of course result in twins, a boy and a girl....

I feel like the back end of a bus! Really hope this doesn't do something bizarre to my chances of implanting. Bum cheese! How's everyone else's weekends going?

DulcetMoans · 13/07/2014 12:18

Yeah, sal, if you are due AF and getting a positive OPK then you need to do a HPT! Are you sure you are 12dpo?

You ok boozle, feeling rough?

Sorry about BFN marmalade, try again in the week?

sebsmummy1 · 13/07/2014 11:41

Sal you can use opks as hpts. Only problem is that you get an lh surge before AF too (I have no idea why) so they are also pretty crap at being used as an hpt too. If the test line is a blazing positive then I think you could be pregnant, if it is a strong line but not stronger than the control line I think it's 50/50. Go piss on an HPT woman!! Grin

Marmaladecat1 · 13/07/2014 10:14

Oh no boozle you ok?

sal that is odd. Hoping someone else will know!

Sal1977 · 13/07/2014 09:51

Morning ladybugs!

12dpo here and I just randomly peed on an OV stick (not sure why) and there's a fairly strong line on it? WTF? Can you have OV hormones this late in your cycle???

OP posts:
Boozle80 · 13/07/2014 09:40

Nope, definitely a lurgy...

Marmaladecat1 · 13/07/2014 09:15

Bfn! Not even a hint of a line.
I blame the test. It's not my favourite cheapie test it's the really thin ones. I prefer the thicker ones.

Daisybell1 · 13/07/2014 09:12

Oh crumbs, I've dropped off this thread Sad. I'll try to catch up!

Marmaladecat1 · 13/07/2014 09:03

Morning all.
boozle I had that wind cramp thing last night!
Don't feel sick really. I'm going with this being a good sign for me.
I don't have my normal migraine before AF though.
Will POAS and report come sobbing back.
I'm due on today

Justonemoretime · 13/07/2014 08:30

Thanks, Allthefours, I did have exactly that conversation at interview as I was ttc at the time, and they did agree to it verbally. I found out that I was pg a few days later. Then, when I 'fessed up a month or so later (in order to make sure everything would be in place for September - we'd had a dating scan at just over 9 weeks and doctors were confident that this was a 'keeper') it turned out that it was only redundancy and pension that would be covered in the continuity of service agreement, not sick or maternity pay. I could have got some that I would have accrued from me previous job, and the LA would tide me over with statutory payments, but the 12 weeks at half pay would have been lost. The lawyers were called in as it was apparently the first time that a pregnant employee had moved between academies.

I was told by the NUT that I risked being sued for breach of contract if I didn't go ahead with the move (I have since gone over to ATL), but the new school were supportive (although their hands were tied, legally speaking). My old job offered to keep me on if I sacrificed my tlr, so it basically boiled down to losing the same amount of money. Lesson learned, never hand in your notice until the deadline (I did because I knew they wanted to sort out planning for next year), because it gives everyone the green light to screw you. I was literally screwed in every way, and it was very stressful.

Moral? You can't be too careful with what's carried over and what's not unless you are specific (and, let's face it, who would tell a new employer they are ttc?) and you get it in writing. With academies, I'm afraid it's all a little pre-feminist nowadays (almost as if no-one really thought it through....)

Sorry for the rant :)

Allthefours · 13/07/2014 08:04

just and all othe teachers/school staff, you can ask for your continuous service to be honoured to ensure that your benefits to mat pay etc are stil fulfilled when moving from LA schools to academies. I'm currently an office manager in a special school which is an LA school, prior to that I have 9 years working in LA school and 2 academies. Each time I've moved I have asked my continuous service be applied or it was a deal breaker and wouldn't accept the job. I started my current job in May this year, I found out I was pg 3 weeks after starting my job, but because they honoured my continuous service I would have been entitled to all the mat pay benefits! Worth considering of you do decide to move jobs.

Treaclepie19 · 13/07/2014 01:45

I am drunk.
Just thought I'd put that out there.
Might stop trying over the holidays as we have so much going on.

Boozle80 · 13/07/2014 00:06

And have bad wind which has manifested itself into cramps instead of breaking free...

Boozle80 · 13/07/2014 00:05

Cramps and feeling a bit sick - 7dpo and sore boobs. I may have just picked up the sickness bug from school though!
