The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Grrr, my opk was still glaringly positive today, that's the third day in a row now! I usually get two positives, but three?! I thought we'd dtd enough for this month, now we'll have to do it again tonight... and DH was already a bit reluctant yesterday.

Good idea to step away from the tests broody, it might have just been too early to test with a digi as sebs said.

daisy I'm sorry you're going through such a worrying time, fx everything will work out for you.

sebsmummy1 · 16/07/2014 10:52

well if its a conception indicator one then they are pretty sensitive but if its just a standard digi I think they are 50miu, so not sensitive at all.

Just keep testing and if its a line you will be able to see it very soon xxx

broodylicious · 16/07/2014 10:35

effin digi says not pregnant. The bitch! However, I am still feeling rough as poo and it's still early for me to be testing - especially as I've no idea if my cycles will be back to their 28 day ways as they were pre mc - so I'm stepping away from them and will not test until the weekend at the earliest. Feel a bit of a fraud now.... Hmm

Marmaladecat1 · 16/07/2014 08:13

Morning, oh daisy! Fingers and everything crossed for you.

It is time to do a digi broody!

Well it's shit here.
2 bfn's, a new dress that is too clingy and new jeans that are too tight- I've lost weight FFS! And SIL has spread her D&V bug to DH even though I did question whether they were still contagious. Only a matter of time before we all get it.
I cannot imagine I will ever feel better right now :(

Justonemoretime · 16/07/2014 08:11

Daisy, that's a shame. I'm trying to think which other teaching hospitals there are? Have you had any other spotting etc? that might give another cause for concern? Maybe email Yash at St Mary's and ask her to advise? I really do think that that sonographer needs to be pulled up on her very poor treatment of you. I hope you can get some peace of mind soon.

Broody, I can just about see a squinter on my laptop, but not on my phone. Tentative congratulations to you :) I hope it gets stronger!

Hope, my DH is in Washington DC this week and on Monday night spent the evening on the Whitehouse front lawn in peaceful protest about the plight of those who suffer in Gaza. He tells me that the 'news' coverage over there is very biased towards Israel, with very little mention of the suffering on the other side of the fence. I'm not sure that God himself can do much, but a change of leaders' corrupt justifications for violence based on a limited understanding of religious history would go a long way to broker peace. This is based on power and land, with only a loose veil of religion to justify it. (gets off soap box) You're right, we are very lucky not to have to live in the terrible conditions that some other people in the world do.

sebsmummy1 · 16/07/2014 08:06

Oh Daisy I'm so sorry you are worried. Fingers crossed you can get some reassurance soon xx

Broody I'm on my phone too and I think I see a line. You know what you've got to do don't you? DIGI!!!!! Grin

Daisybell1 · 16/07/2014 07:50

Thank you Just. Unfortunately am a £100 train ride away. I am going down for the harmony test at the FMC, I'm just too far away to go again before then Sad

Justonemoretime · 16/07/2014 07:33

Daisy, so sorry local services have been so very unhelpful and unsympathetic. Prof Regan says clearly in her book that reassurance scans and TLC do help. I'd complain if you feel up to it. Are you near London? Maybe go to uclh for a scan at the walk in clinic? All the best.

Daisybell1 · 16/07/2014 07:32

Hello Jarof, sorry you find yourself here, the ladies here are lovely.

Thank you all re scan. Unfortunately the only place round here that does private scans is very much a vanity place - no internals and no refund if you're not far enough on to see things externally.

I saw a nurse afterwards who tried to reassure me re measurements but only I know how small the growth was (as they didn't have my St Marys measurements). My GP is lovely but she's on holiday Sad

I'm trying to see if inspiration strikes re a location of another scan - may end up doing it in Glasgow when we go for the commonwealth games...

Daisybell1 · 16/07/2014 07:26

Am attempting to catch up!

Cake - brilliant news but it sounds like you've has a testing time, I really hope the next few months are more boring!

Mrs Bee, I really hope you get a negative test soon (the only time I hope you have a negative!). And the same to Dulcet!

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 16/07/2014 07:22

broody I cant see a line on my phone but if you and others can then thats enough proof for me, congratulations x

daisy im so sorry, I echo everyone else can you afford a private scan?

Still no AF and got another bfn Sad

OneDayLikeThis2013 · 16/07/2014 07:11

Oh daisy are you in a position to get a private scan for a bit more clarity? That's really shitty that they wouldn't scan you internally.

Hope26 · 15/07/2014 23:30

Daisy hang in there and get. Private scan for your own sanity. Hope it all goes well for you.

Ladies all this baby talk is making me think about all the innocent children and people dying in Gaza. Pray for them #freepalestine.

We are blessed to be safe in our homes knowing we will wake up the next day and our family is safe. They can't even sleep at night in fear of a missile landing on their homes. May God protect our children and families.

Treaclepie19 · 15/07/2014 23:16

Haha boozle, not sacked, "promoted". Yeah right :p

Boozle80 · 15/07/2014 23:13

Daisy that's shit! Do these people have no idea? They've cancelled all my follow up scans in August as well as they've decided it's not viable to check me after my ovary haemorrhaged. Tell them you'll do a sit in until they check you! What does your gp say? It's sometimes worth going through them if you have a sympathetic one? Sending you massive hugs and kicks in the shins for witch like sonographers!
And now that Gove's been sacked I don't know who to blame this on!

EnglishGirlsReturned · 15/07/2014 23:11

Oh Daisy, how worrying for you. A it worth paying for a private scan? I do think that is a little unfair. Did you see a nurse or anything after the sonographer?
The nurse I saw was really nice and supportive. It certainly helps.
Fx all is well and continues to go well. Try and art positive.

Treaclepie19 · 15/07/2014 23:10

Oh Daisy, I'm so sorry to hear that.
What have they said they will do then?
When do you get a scan?
I hope it's just because the stupid woman didn't do an internal xxx

Daisybell1 · 15/07/2014 22:09

Broody - that's a line! Congratulations!!!

I'm so sorry for not catching up with you all but I'm in a state here. Had an 8 week scan today at my local hospital - still a heartbeat but only a couple of days growth in the sac size since two weeks ago Sad The sonographer was a complete witch and refused to do an internal scan (am clinging to this as the reason for the lack of change in measurements - futile) and also refused to scan me again - apparently St Mary's policy of offering 6, 8 and 10 week scans is excessive Hmm

I will go back and read properly, and be less me me me next time, I promise!

Treaclepie19 · 15/07/2014 22:07

BROODY!!! I can see a line!!! :)

Metalhead · 15/07/2014 22:02

broody I think I can see where there would be a line, though not sure if I'm actually seeing one if that makes sense?! But if others can and you can then I'm hoping this is it for you. x

Hope26 · 15/07/2014 21:56

Broody I can see a line too!! Congrats!

Jar it does suck waiting for AF or a bfp just don't lose hope.

I hope all your ladies get your bfp before the end of the year or before your edd.

I don't feel pregnant at all.. No major symtoms except slight cramping here and there. Seems surreal. I am getting tired but maybe that's because it's the end of term and my body is shutting down knowing school is over on Friday for the summer. I won't believe it until I see it on my 12 week scan. Sounds a bit stupid huh?

EnglishGirlsReturned · 15/07/2014 21:19

Welcome Jarof, sorry about your mc. Don't expect anything from your cycles post mc. Fx you get your BFP soon.

I've set myself the goal of just being preggers by Christmas. I conceived cycle 4 post first mc so hope for at least the same this time round. Please body, do what I want for once!!

Foxtrot7459 · 15/07/2014 20:52

jarof welcome and rant away!

I hate this process too - way to much waiting around, the lack of control is killing me as I am a complete control freak. I just want to see AF so I can properly move on arrrrggghhhhhhhhhh!

Foxtrot7459 · 15/07/2014 20:49

mrsbee oneday I've set myself the goal of being pregnant enough by Christmas to be able to tell people - which means I need a BFP by/in September - we are all in this together!

Sending positive thoughts to you both x

jarofpickles · 15/07/2014 20:44

Hi, having been lurking for ages but just need to have a small rant if that's ok! TTC #3, conceived last month but had a MC at 5+4.... This month have now been spotting for 3 days, was hoping it was implantation bleeding (have had IB for last 2 pregnancies) but BFN today. I just hate the random spotting... If AF is going to arrive why can't it just happen!! I know I'm probably just a bit messed up from the MC and I'm bound to come on properly in the next couple of days but can't help but hope a little bit! Why can't this process be more clear cut?! Grrr.
