Ive read another thread with interest about ttc after the pill & saw that a couple of posters were about to stop their bc pills so thought a new thread might be in order!
Im getting married in August & currently finishing my last packet of Yasmin. Excited & nervous all at the same time!

So who's with me?

Lovebugs2014 · 30/10/2014 22:38

Thanks, how do I join that thread Justyouwaitandsee??? Have searched for it on the site but can't find you...I've just joined the July due date thread which is good to hear others symptoms and worries so early on. Glad I found all you lovely ladies on here, it's made this journey so much easier xx

Littlemissjt · 30/10/2014 19:45

Thanks girls Smile

Justyouwaitandsee · 30/10/2014 19:29

Ps. Just keep updating Ovia and you will find each month, and with extra data available, it will adjust and become more accurate!

Justyouwaitandsee · 30/10/2014 19:28

Oi Lovebugs! Come and be giddy with us over on the taking the plunge pregnancy thread! Smile

Hugs to all you other ladies, getting AF is a good sign that your body is getting settled back into a natural pattern! Thanks xx

Katewright699 · 30/10/2014 19:15

Hiya lovebugs..Grin glad to hear all is well with you.i would have a drink but I'm completely tea total and have been for 16 years lol.. Have also been on a diet for 4 months so can't even stuff myself with chocolate andCake !!!! Oh well can always treat myself to an extra celery stick I suppose Hmm. GL telling everyone my lovely I'm sure they will be as ecstatic as you are xx

Lovebugs2014 · 30/10/2014 16:06

Sorry to hear about your AF arriving! Have a few drinks whilst you can! I feel a bit more tired than usual but trying to eat healthily and drink plenty to keep my energy up...fx I don't start feeling too sick as work will be suspicious and I have a long car commute but we'll see, it's totally out of my hands! Im a bit nervous about telling family and friends this weekend as would have waited a lot longer but me not drinking would give it away and I really want a few close people to know so I can get a bit giddy as DH is very cautious and it hasn't sunk in for him yet!

Katewright699 · 30/10/2014 08:40

Thanks wanttobe that's how I'm trying to look at it too...and might be able to narrow my ov down a bit so I won't have to start testing so early lol !!

wanttobeamummyin2015 · 30/10/2014 08:21

Sorry for af ladies but I I a good sign your bodies are getting back to normal Thanks

Katewright699 · 30/10/2014 07:42

Morning :) AF arrived this morning for me too sadly:( I'm using the ovia app too and today was the day it predicted I was due and sure enough the witch turned up...on the plus side I know I have a nice 14 day lp and that hopefully I'll be regular x

Littlemissjt · 30/10/2014 07:12

Well af has arrived and is back with a vengeance! I am a little relieved. I have been using that ovia app and yesterday it wiped all the predictions and ovulation dates, made me feel like some sort of failureConfused. I am aware how unreasonable it is to get upset by a stupid app, but still. Hmm

Littlemissjt · 28/10/2014 19:57

Thanks girls! It really is frustrating! Oh well, we'll get there in the end! And just to add to all the waiting I've got to wait for af so I can book my smear test! The joys of being female! Hmm

Katewright699 · 28/10/2014 19:55

Certainly is wanttobe.... And patience is most certainly NOT one of my virtues lol x

wanttobeamummyin2015 · 28/10/2014 19:52

Just a waiting game isn't it - we wait to ovulate, then we wait for af/bfp. Then when we get bfp we wait for first mw appt, then 12w scan, then 20w scan, then bubba! So much waiting! I am so impatient, but I think with ttc patience is definitely a virtue :) keep positive girls!

Katewright699 · 28/10/2014 18:56

Thanks lovebugs :D how you getting on.. Has it sunk in yet hun Grin

Lovebugs2014 · 28/10/2014 18:46

Don't give up hope littlemiss and Kate, until you get the BFP or AF you are still in the running. A lot of symptoms of AF are similar to pregnancy so fx for you both xx

Katewright699 · 28/10/2014 11:30

Oh that's pants littlemiss how frustratingSad... Really do think I'm out this month and feel like AF is on the way, lots of cramping and feel a bit sticky down there( sorry tmi)

Littlemissjt · 28/10/2014 06:33

Well I'm now 6 days late and couldn't resist doing another test. Bfn and no af Hmm. I would just quite like to know where af is now tbh. Feeling fed up this morning!

Lovebugs2014 · 27/10/2014 22:15

Thanks justyouwait and Kate, I have an appointment next week so I'll see what my GP says/does! I'm still taking vitamins and feel fine apart from waking around 3-4am for a wee which I never did before! Still doesn't feel real Smile

Justyouwaitandsee · 27/10/2014 08:10

Congrats again Lovebugs. At my surgery you don't see a doctor at all, the receptionist just books you in for a midwife appt at 8 wks. It does feel very surreal and right up to the scan I was convinced it might all be a false alarm...! Some surgeries do let you see a doctor who might do a blood test but I think this is quite rare now. If you have any particular reason to be concerned you can check if you have an epu (early pregnancy unit) nearby as they will check you over or give an early reassurance scan if necessary. But as long as you don't have any worrying symptoms or history of previous problems, then hopefully that won't be needed. Make sure you are taking preg vitamins, or at least Folic acid and vit D. I did four tests, including two FR and two CB digital - one immediately which said 2-3 wks pregnant, and one 1-2 weeks later which said 3+ weeks. Was reassuring to see. Hope this helps! Smile

Katewright699 · 27/10/2014 07:12

Ahhhh thankyou :) yes you can ring your gp and they will refer you to your local antenatal care team and I think they usually see you at about 6 weeks and go from there ! It does take a while to sink in but what great news for you both to have to digest Grin x

Lovebugs2014 · 26/10/2014 23:06

Hoping you get the BFP this month Kate! I really would wait to test on AF day to save the doubt and expense of tests but it's so tempting to test early to shorten the wait! I'm still in shock and think I'll take another test later this week to be sure and also I'm not sure what I do now! Ring my GP to get appointment?! Hmm

Katewright699 · 26/10/2014 20:07

Thanks lovebugs :) I was thinking about you a little while ago as you got bfn on 12dpo and then your BFP at 14dpo Grin so I was thinking to myself that those couple of days really do make all the difference ! Hope I can join you soon coz you my cycle buddy lol xx

Lovebugs2014 · 26/10/2014 19:49

Don't loose hope Kate, I was the same until today - day 14 so just wait a little longer and test on your AF due date x

crazypuglady · 26/10/2014 19:41

Congrats lovebug :)
