Ive read another thread with interest about ttc after the pill & saw that a couple of posters were about to stop their bc pills so thought a new thread might be in order!
Im getting married in August & currently finishing my last packet of Yasmin. Excited & nervous all at the same time!

So who's with me?

Morning all, frustrated .com here. Cycle 3 off pill. Cycle 1 51 days, cycle 2 25 days, cycle 3 28 days today and still counting!! Have poas and bfn. Got ewcm on cd 26 and cd23. Think body still very much up spout after pill which I know isn't incoming but is very very annoying. Have cbfm for when af puts in appearance but nothing to do but dtd eod till then.

Anyone else frustrated .com?

catnip85 · 22/08/2014 17:51

welcome all newbies! big hugs coming your way freedom we're here if you need to talk. Men can be a bit rubbish at just listening and understanding sometimes even though they mean well.

ive got my FX for you too justyouwait when can you test?

i can test as of Monday but don't think we've been successful this month. I don't feel at all different and annoyingly my bbt peaked while i was on a work trip earlier this wk so think i may have miscalculated my ovulation date and missed the chance to conceive :(

Nextchapterabouttostart · 21/08/2014 09:08

Morning all, just a quick update: one week post the pill, no AF but have been dtd which I guess is all I can do...already feel like I am battling the crazy-symptom-spotter that lives inside me as I appreciate this could be a long game...

Any symptom spotting going on for anyone else?

Freedom40 · 19/08/2014 19:20

Thanks for the hug justreally needed it. As for private test talked to DH and he wants me to do itbut I want to wait 1 more month. We are on holiday in 3 weeks so will decide once we get back.

Yup still DTD just in case but not hopeful.

Welcome dreaming I am taking vitamins its best to start now so the folic acid in there just in case. I also hear vitamin B which is in the pre concept helps.

Been on yasmin for 3 years and no AF sunce withdrawal bleed in May but everyone is different so just go with the flow.

Ladies I've been watching a program called Nine Months on Sky. Its really good. Really puts things in a real life perspective. Couples are very open and honest. Worth a watch.

Dreamingoutloud · 19/08/2014 17:07

Hi all, hope I'm ok to join.
I took my last pill on Sunday, it's weird we've been waiting a year and a half to get to this point and now I'm terrified!
Just waiting for my last withdrawal bleed then I'll get using the ovia app.
DH seems to think this will all go to plan and next month we will have a bfp! Keep telling him I may not even have a af for a few months (been on pill for 8+ years) but he just tells me it'll be fine.
Currently reading what to expect before you're expecting secretly, as we don't want anyone to know we're trying in case it takes a while, it's hard when people keep asking though Hmm

Thinking of ordering the pregnacare his and hers conception vitamins, has anyone used them or have any other suggestions?

Justyouwaitandsee · 19/08/2014 07:29

How are all you other ladies doing? Any news? Anyone coming up to testing / AF due? Surely it must be nearly time for one of us to get a BFP?

Justyouwaitandsee · 19/08/2014 07:27

Hey freedom - just want to give you a virtual hug. Are you still DTD just in case each month? Got to be worth a try. And I wonder if it is worth paying for the private test given your extra circumstances?

We are now in our 2ww, but as I said before, work kind of got in the way this month so not holding out much hope. I don't have any symptoms. Although we did try conceive plus lube.

Am now in a bit of a dilemma about whether to try next month. We get to the point where the due date would collide with three of my best friend's weddings (who are all getting married in the space of a couple of months). We don't want to stop - especially as nothing has happened this far - but equally I don't want to miss their special days. I am also due to be bridesmaid at one. Sigh.

Freedom40 · 18/08/2014 10:42

welcome to the group nextchapter and good luck TTC.

well ladies no news to report. came back from GP and all tests came back normal. He suggest just relax and wait now. he did say if I was feeling really worried i could do an anti-mullerian test to make sure I still have eggs left but i'd have to go private which means money i'd rather save until i'm in panic mode. I have to keep telling myself its only been a few months and it's all normal. then I look at the calendar and realize in 3 months i'll be 40 and 2 months till HD has to be back on meds and start feeling slightly sad.

So no AF since May and no sign that anything is wrong. so frustrating i never thought I'd want to see AF so much in my life.

DH is being supportive but as most men go still trying to get his head around why things are not happening since we are "doing what the books say"Smile. i keep telling him it's not like building a skyscraper (he's and engineer) where you follow the steps and the building stands up.

so it's wait for AF I guess instead of DTD and hoping we catch something. I secretly keep hoping i'll be one of those who just land pregnant as the stars align etc. no telling what havoc the super moon did this month but hopefully it will have helped some of you in the BFP direction.

Sending loads of BFP thought and sprinkling baby dust your way and hoping I'll be sending congrats to one of you soon.

Nextchapterabouttostart · 15/08/2014 19:19

Thanks Catnip, that makes sense to ovulate first then the period - good luck to you all -

catnip85 · 15/08/2014 17:41

How are you doing freedom? Any sign of AF or test results?

glitterbomb80 · 15/08/2014 11:19

Thanks freedom - it's exciting and terrifying in equal measure!

catnip85 · 15/08/2014 07:36

Welcome nextchapter i didn't have as withdrawl bleed after stopping the pill but you have to ovulate to have a period so we still dtd. Wasn't really expecting to conceive straight away and were now on cycle 2. That said, some couples do conceive straight away so worth a go

justyouwait it only takes one time to get pregnant so youre def still in with a chance :)

Justyouwaitandsee · 14/08/2014 22:09

Hi all - and thanks for the message Catnip!
I don't think we've had any BFPs yet...and I'm not sure about our chances this month. My fertile window just ended, but coincided with a really busy and stressful time at work so we only managed to dtd three times - right at the start and the end of the window. Good luck to everyone!

Katybear123 · 14/08/2014 18:25

Hi next chapter, so I'm not sure but I guess u can as my gp warned I might not have a period and would just discover I was preg. Sadly I haven't been that luck cycle 3 here. Good luck I say get cracking

Nextchapterabouttostart · 14/08/2014 16:37

Can I join you all? I took last bc pill this morning (cerzette). Although I have two children this is the first time coming of the pill & trying to conceive. Had a MC last Jan, went on the pill after that as did not want to try again for a while, but now feel ready to try again.

can I ask if you always get a period first before ovulation? I guess I am seeing is it worth 'trying' before period shows up?

Freedom40 · 14/08/2014 15:53

Congrats glitterbomb. AF is a wecome sight. No comes the fun bit. Wishing you the best of luck.

glitterbomb80 · 14/08/2014 15:28

Well. After stopping the Ovysmen five weeks ago, AF is finally here. Never thought I'd be so damn pleased to see my period. I was beginning to get kind of twitchy about it - never had a withdrawal bleed and AF's been very erratic over the past year since I switched pills.

Now it's back I've remembered what a pain the arse AF is. Gah, can't win!

catnip85 · 14/08/2014 07:26

Good luck justyouwait did you have a nice holiday?

according to ovia im just at the end of my fertile window. We've been dtd everyday so fingers crossed we all get bfps this month. Have we had any yet in this group?

Katybear123 · 08/08/2014 13:59

Good luck jus thousandsee I hope all works for u this month. Ovia has me in my fertile window to so will see what happens - ff says it's over but we r still going to try as u never know

Justyouwaitandsee · 08/08/2014 00:17

Hey everyone! Just back from a few days away and my Ovia fertile window supposedly started again yesterday (7th August) too. This is our last month of trying before taking a brief break to prevent a due date which clashes with my best friends wedding and bridesmaidly duties! Kinda thought we might have been taking a newborn when we originally started trying :-(

Katybear123 · 07/08/2014 18:27

Thanks catnip fingers crossed then. I want to dtd tonight see if I can convince hubbie

catnip85 · 07/08/2014 18:03

Thanks freedom

MN emailed me katybear to say they has passed my details on to clear blue. Although i signed up ages ago and assumed id not been successful as i didn't hear anything. Good luck for the wkend!

Freedom40 · 07/08/2014 11:59

The trial was on another mumsnet post. I filled out the survey still waiting to hear. Would be a huge help to me financially as kits are expensive.

Good luck.

Katybear123 · 07/08/2014 08:53

Hey catnip u and I r similar cycles according to Ovia fertile window starts today. I use ff as well which has my fertile window earlier though do not sure... Trying to dtd over both.
Good news u have been successful on clear blue trial how did u find out? I signed up but didn't hear anything?

catnip85 · 07/08/2014 07:31

Great that your gp is being so helpful freedom has it put your mind at rest a little now something is being done?

according to ovia my "fertile window" starts tomorrow so time to get on it. Although we are going camping this wkend with a big group of friends so not sure how much privacy we'll get!

has anyone else signed up for the clear blue fertility monitor trial? Apparently ive been selected so looking fwd to getting my kit soon
