Ive read another thread with interest about ttc after the pill & saw that a couple of posters were about to stop their bc pills so thought a new thread might be in order!
Im getting married in August & currently finishing my last packet of Yasmin. Excited & nervous all at the same time!

So who's with me?

Xx

Aww justyouwait its exciting! Honeymoon was in Sorrento and was fab - have fallen in love with Italy. Actually feel almost torn now between booking a 2 week holiday there next year and enjoying a last holiday without kid people and getting my bfp - I want both lol.

I can't quite remember about siarie but she started and posted her news on the emergency bus for August thread if you search for that

Hi teachermummy congratulations on your wedding! I hope you had an amazing honeymoon...whereabouts did you go?

Great news about siarie too - when is she due? If it's a May due date then it would be great to see her on the May baby antenatal club thread.

I have told my mum and dad today. They are over the moon. Makes it seem more real now.

teachermummy2b · 30/08/2014 13:59

Hi everyone! Not been on here for a while as got married and been on honeymoon. Back to normality with a bump now though.

I was really hopeful of a honeymoon bfp but was not to be. First cycle after withdrawal bleed was 39 days - not as long as some but long enough to have me crossing my fingers.

Hopefully I can now start to get into a regular cycle so I know when to expect af (or bfp)!

A taking the plunge graduate thread is a fab idea! Massive congratulations to justyouwait! I hope she will not mind me posting this as she has posted it elsewhere but siarie has had her bfp too on cycle 2.

Fingers crossed for more 'plunge' bfps very soon!

Im not impressed either catnip clearblue called me for the trial but only after I outed their unfair pratice of fast tracking candidates via "special invite only" email address from another thread on mumsnet. Guess they did not realise the power of social media. But look on the bright site, its saving you money. You should be able to find the directions on their website.

The program was about a family in desperate need of a handicap accessible home for their son who has spina bifida because no one told his mum to take folic acid to reduce the chances of developing the condition by 75%. She was gutted and guilty but it highlighted to me hiw women still are not getting the info they need on pregnancy health.

catnip85 · 29/08/2014 18:39

Oh and guess what arrived today- a brown envelope with a clear blue digital fertility test. No note or instructions from them tho so how am i supposed to know where to post the feedback? Not impressed with their organisation!

catnip85 · 29/08/2014 18:34

Thanks freedom and little miss glad to know im not the only one with bloating! Ive got all those other symptoms too freedom.

glad AF has arrived for you Jane at least you can start planning for next month now. We try To dtd every other day but obviously its not always possible

im taking my vits religiously freedom what was the programme about?

Freedom40 · 29/08/2014 09:24

So im not the expert of the bunch but ive read you should not get up for 20 minutes to give little swimmers best chance as gravity when you stand will just chuck them out. Also read (sorry for TMI) that us girls need to climax as this changes the ph balance in the womb giving swimmers less chance if getting nuked. Yes im a bit of a science geek smile.
On another note if you ever wanted a reason to get disciplined in taking your pre concep and pregnancy vitamins you should watch last night's episode of DIY the big build my heart goes out to the mum but even in her difficult situation she is blessed with the most beautiful happy baby I've seen in a while.

Lets commit to taking our vitamins girls even if ee are not BFP because its really important.

Hi Guys! Hope your all going well! I finally got my AF which makes my cycle 32days which is good to know so I can have better luck next month tracking ovulation! Has anyone got any tips for next month? We usually try to BD every 3 days sorry for TMI but anyone other advice to help cover any other possible ways of getting the right day?

Lovebugs2014 · 29/08/2014 07:57

Good luck to everyone waiting for AF... And wanttobeamummy I think we are stopping the pill around the same time so will be good to hear about your experience. I'm currently on AF with the mini pill and have been regular with 28 day cycle so hoping this continues once stopping the pill but from what I've read it could go either way! Time does seem to stand still now that I'm counting down each pill I take but going on holiday for two weeks should keep me busy and then only got a week back here before stopping my pill!! Woohoo can't wait!!

Justyouwaitandsee · 28/08/2014 21:50

Woohoo! That's really good news Freedom! And fingers crossed Katybear - good luck wantobe

wanttobeamummyin2015 · 28/08/2014 20:55

Hello! Just started last packet of pills... getting a bit real now as after that will be just waiting for af! Biding my time here for a while until I can say I am actually trying. 2 weeks left of pill eeek!

Katybear123 · 28/08/2014 20:26

Hi all sorry af got some of u and thanks for sticking around just u wait and see. Day 32 here and sow thug is going on not sure if implantation bleed or af, won't know till morning I guess. Suspect af as v bloated today and sore head but would b much nicer if was a symptom. Either way hopefully it's some thing and I can either get celebrating or get trying again. Have a clear blue fertility monitor for next month :-)

Littlemissjt · 28/08/2014 19:19

Also congrats on AF freedom x

Littlemissjt · 28/08/2014 19:19

I had bloating too, and hellish headache for about 5 days that I just couldn't shift.

Freedom40 · 28/08/2014 18:41

I can say that I have had loads of bloating since stopping the pill. I have had a few spots as well. I had (close your eyes) lots of wetness as well. My hair did go through a little shedding. I felt well within myself but a bit heavy if that makes any sense.

catnip85 · 28/08/2014 17:52

Symptom related question for you all (and apologies if tmi) has anyone else had really bad bloating since stopping the pill? ... Or any other weird symptoms for that matter

catnip85 · 28/08/2014 17:40

Just did a little jump for joy for you freedom youre back in the game :D

sept is looking good statistically ladies, we must be due some more bfps.

nextchapter im waiting for AF which after doing some ovia analysis i think will actually be next wk. Think my cycle is slightly longer than the 28 days i originally put in (as a guess!)

Nextchapterabouttostart · 28/08/2014 13:09

95 days! No wonder you are celebrating!!! So pleased for you, good luck for the next few weeks...

Freedom40 · 28/08/2014 10:27

Well looks like im back on track finally AFshowed up today after day 95 from break through bleeding in may. Never thought I'd feel like celebrating her return. Im over the moon. DH can finslly stop shooting in the dark

Nextchapterabouttostart · 28/08/2014 09:36

Morning everyone, catnip glad you are feeling better; still no AF for me after stopping the pill, I do feel a bit of nausea, but do get that with AF - going to try & stop analysing everything, but it's so hard & I agree time seems to be travelling slowly! Want AF to arrive to then be able to get on with the middle bit!

Where is everyone on the journey? I know some of us are still waiting for AF? Who is in the 2ww?

Fingers crossed for everyone, let's hope September is our month.

Freedom40 · 28/08/2014 08:36

Great idea cat hopefully most of us will be able to jump over by christmas. Funny how time seems to stand still when you are watching the calendars. I have to keep myself from wishing my life away. Good to have you back Smile

catnip85 · 28/08/2014 07:19

Thanks freedom the hug is much appreciated. Sorry everyone i was on a bit of a downer yesterday. Feeling better now.

we should def have a taking the plunge pregnancy thread once a few more of us graduate.

good luck little miss, Jane and looking for advice, may the force be with you ;)

Jane1986 · 28/08/2014 00:26

Thanks Ladies! I'm all prepared for the next try so I've now bought ovulation kit which I hadn't used before so hopefully it will help me be more accurate! Just waiting for AF hope it comes today so my cycle is only 32 days. I shouldn't complain I only came off the pill in June and had my first real cycle so I'm just being impatient and expecting it to happen straight away! That's great news littlemiss hope it all goes well

Justyouwaitandsee · 27/08/2014 19:39

Thanks littlemiss - and congrats on getting your AF, great news! Smile

Littlemissjt · 27/08/2014 18:51

Congratulations justyouwaitandsee! I joined this group just after coming off my pill after 10yrs a month ago. We weren't quite trying yet as I wanted to see what my cycle was like but af came today on day 28. Delighted! Looks like we're about to start trying! Shock X
