OP posts:
MrsMcJnr · 22/09/2006 10:43

Oh my god JL2 - I am so delighted for you and so very sorry all at the same time, how awful about your nephew and how wonderful about your BFP, I cannot imagine all the emotions that you have going through you at the moment, sending you big hugs and all the support I can and please, please talk if you need to let things out

cityangel · 22/09/2006 09:37

Hi Juicy, I am so sorry for your loss. I can only imagine what a very difficult time it is for your family.
Obviously I don't know your sister, but I expect whatever their circumstances your family would be happy for you even if they might find it hard to show it right now at such a sad time for you all.
I guess as you are in early pregnancy it may be advisable to delay telling them straight away anyway. But you shouldn't feel its something to hide as you being pg is part of the natural lifecycle. It is very cruel that your Nephew was taking away from you all in such a sad and unexpected way. You have no reason to feel guilty, but I understand it must be very hard.
Hope to hear from you soon. angel

andi0411 · 22/09/2006 09:01

Juicylucythe2nd · 22/09/2006 08:41

Just to let you all know I got a BFP this am.

I would like to be as happy as I should be, but my 19 year old nephew died in his sleep on Sunday and I just feel incredibly empty.

My sister is devastated and I can do nothing to help ease the pain. Feel incapable of feeling happy and feel guilty that this has happened now. Won't go on.

aprilmeadow · 22/09/2006 07:41

DD1 - My best friend took 9mths + to fall pg for a second time and sadly lost her little boy at 17wks. She thought it would take ages to fall pg again but amazingly was pg within about 6wks. Her DS is 9mths now!

hi andi

cd21 for me today a/f due 28th-30th or whenever the hell it likes!

andi0411 · 21/09/2006 18:23

Hi ladies - just a quick one how is everyone?

Cd23 for me so still hanging on..9 days till T DAY..none of the ususal pre- mens thingys - but we'll see.

DD1 my last mc lasted for 10 days in total with quite heavy bleeding- normal though- and large, quite frightening clots- NORMAL so don't worry about this. Thinking of you- it's crap for you.

Hello to all...what cd is everyone on now? Shall we have a refresher for the Sept crew?

cityangel · 21/09/2006 17:05

Hi MrsMCJnr I was advised to do leg bicycling in the air. Gets a smile from dh if nothing else!
I will let you know if BFP. It is frustrating how the poss pg signs are so similar to pms.
Slight AF pain today and no more metallic taste so not holding out much hope now.
Still I enjoy entertaining the what if thoughts but I'm sure that will wear off

Sorry about things dd1 and trace2 and everyone else who has been through difficult times. Good luck going forwards.
I keep remind myself that bfp is just the start of lots of potential scenarios.
I'm of for a work leaving do know. Have had to come up with random stories about a bet as to why not drinking.
Don't want them to work out my hopeful future plans as am contracting and would be out the door.
Bye for now Angel

ShowOfHands · 21/09/2006 13:57

Just running in and out to see how everybody is, been away for a week or so.

DD1ofcolandgerry, I am so very sorry. I'm sending you lots of love and positive thoughts. I too had a m/c at the same time as trace. It lasted about a week, was very painful and there were lots of clots. You will feel physically and emotionally better with time. My DH also found it very hard, but 2 months on we are pg again, still that it happened, but positive about the future.

CAT me if you want.

desperate2bmum · 21/09/2006 13:50

hello everyone - still not managing to sleep woke up every 2 hours last night its a joke thatl be the fifth night in a row this has happened i must have somthing subconciously on my mind that i dont know about yet

dd1 - i bled for 2 1/2 weeks after my m/c and had cramps too but i went to the doctors for antibiotics and within 3 days everything had stopped. good luck for this month xx

mrsmcjnr - hello to you! hows the house thing going? still no sign of thermometer yet..i didnt realise but its being posted from australia so will probably take a month to get here! or knowing my luck never even turn up!

things at work arnt going to good at the minute when i was pg i told 1 of my managers in confidence and she kept it to herself but then when i was miscarrying after 2 weeks off other managers started to ask questions so the manager i told made them aware of the situation. when i went back to work everyone was aware of what had happened and even though they were kind and supportive i was annoyed at the fact my confidence had been broken (i work with all girls so you can imagine how gossipy it is) i expalined to my immediate manager that we would be trying again and next time i want it to stay in confidence. well a week last friday i was feeling ill and had been sicknight before so i rang in work sick then i had a week off as holiday. when i returned i had to have a chat with a manager about why i was off and the one i told i dditn want anyone to know had only left a form for the one who spread it before saying i was pregnant!! so i then had to explain to a few people she had told and herself that i wasnt! can you beleive it - my confidentiality had been broken again! so i have planned now if and when i do get pregnant again i shall not be informing work until i am 12 weeks and everything is going ok. stuff them!

DD1ofcolandgerry · 21/09/2006 11:07

Yes Ive heard that you become super fertile after miscarriage, so my poor dh is in trouble this month, what with post miscarriage fertility, clomid, preseed, cough syrup, and planned daily bding!!!!!!

it should be fun

dd1

trace2 · 21/09/2006 11:02

yes me too, been trying so long it was good i did get pg.
it didnt hit me until after next af after m/c and i think it was because some ladys i was talking to who m/c ay same time as me all 4 got pg the month after, you are surpossed to be super fertile after a m/c, so you need to go for it this month. but i will tell you i ovulated later to

DD1ofcolandgerry · 21/09/2006 10:57

Trace, yes, emotionaly I am still thinking I should be preggers, and me and dh have had a good few tears over the past week. Because he took it so badly, I suppose I have been trying to be the strong one and have sort of boxed it off(as much as I can), but I know it wil come back at me and by then dh will be able to help me. Its an emotional rollercoaster alongside all the physical symptoms.

Im also just happy that I actually managed to get pregnant, as I thought I never would, so Im trying to focus on that

dd1

trace2 · 21/09/2006 10:46

dd1 yes it is classic text book stuff. but it dont make it any esier for us going throuh it, and i find it has lefy a big dint in my body! but on the whole i am so trying to get on with my life but it is so hard knowing i should still be pg now

DD1ofcolandgerry · 21/09/2006 10:30

trace2,

oh yes the pains are horriffic. I was getting severe stabbing and contracting every 3 mins on sunday. I thought I was going to pass out. My consultant said this was classic text book stuff. Im still having af pain, and still requiring painkillers daily, and still clots(TMI sorry)

And yes, Im starting again this month. Started popping the clomid magic beans and have orderd some more preseed!!. Will also be on the cough syrup, as Im sure it also helps with the cm

thanks for the support

dd1

trace2 · 21/09/2006 10:20

hi all so MrsMcJnr you still hoping you get pg then

dd1, again so sorryi to normaly 2 to 3 days! but when i was m/c it was just over a week, with very heavy clots i think its normal with what you are going through((hugs)) are you getting any pains?? i did it was like mini labour, and are you starting again this month? i did gp told me if i was ready i could.
and if you want to talk about it i am here its a horrible experiance to go through, and it helps talking to some one whos been through it!

DD1ofcolandgerry · 21/09/2006 10:14

Hello everyone, Im still here but should really be on the Oct thread

MrsMcJnr, sorry re the house move, but your long term plan sounds brill.

Nat&Tom my friend uses infasoy, hope this is of some help

Trace2, a wee question,or anyone else who knows the answer(TMI alert) how long do you bleed with a misscarriage. My af usually lasts 3-4 days, with only 2 of them being sort of heavy. My miscarriage started on sat with spotting, then full on bleeding on sunday. Its now Thurs and Im still having real heavy bleeds. I am now seriously pissed off. What do you think?

baby dust to all

MrsMcJnr · 21/09/2006 09:43

Hello September Ladies

Hello Desperate - Sorry to hear that you are feeling lousy, poor you! Isn't it ironic how we all feel awful when we don't get enough or have distrubed sleep and yet we are all trying for something that is guaranteed to give us sleepless nights, and perhaps for the rest of our lives! Hope AF stays at bay but if not, let's hope the new thermometer arrives soon!

Hello CityAngel - mighty good thinking taking that book away on honeymoon, I wish I had then we wouldn't have effectively wasted 2 cycles when we got back! I was on Microgynon too by the way (for 5 years and others before it totalling 18 years). My DH has no interest in these things (quite squeamish) but is taking an interest this week as I have told him that this week is vital (I am on the Oct thread, just gatecrashing here) and in the middle of a BD asked me if I would have to do a head stand afterwards, what a romantic! Hope AF stays away and you get your BFP! Make sure you let us know!

Hello Chickenpiescheeky - loving the name! Can't help with the hot flushes either but also believe that Microgynon prevents you from ovulating.

cityangel · 20/09/2006 23:32

Hi I was on the pill for 10+ years and Microgynon for the last 2. It does stop ovulation, the bleed is effectively a pretend period. Afraid I can't be much help with the hot flushes as night as I don't have any experience of that. Hope someone else can help.

chickenpiescheeky · 20/09/2006 22:44
