Ttc after cerazette

Ok so I have read some real horror stories in respect of trying to conceive after cerazette and thought I would share my story or bore you all with my progress (or possible lack of haha)

So I stopped taking cerazette one week ago at the end of the last packet as me and my partner decided we would start Ttc.

First couple of days I had very light bleeding but felt fine then on the third day I started feeling bloated. To date I am still looking and feeling bloated, feel exhausted and have sore boobs and have been feeling very nauseous.

Has anyone else experienced this? How long did it take for you to conceive?

Thanks for reading :)

After coming off Cerazette I got pregnant within 3 months each time - I think it's more about individual fertility / luck than the pill.

Surely crying at The Land Before Time is normal?! -whistles shiftily-

Watching this thread with interest as I'm coming off the Cerazette in a few weeks, as soon as my doctor gives my thyroid the thumbs up.

winnie1981 · 26/06/2014 22:45

Hi ladies, I came off it 20th may, had a 'normal' bleed and now I am waiting for af to come along!
Cycle day 34 today so hopefully she will arrive ASAP so we can continue with our ttc mission!

ranchgirl · 26/06/2014 21:34

Came off Cz in Jan. Reg 28\29 cycles since Feb but no BFP.
Impatient and broody :-(

Fairey86 · 26/06/2014 08:52

Haha that's ok then :)

Am still experiencing all the symptoms although nausea has got worse and lower back ache has also kicked in!

Cried whilst watching the land before time last night (sad I no) not like me at all lol

Fairey when talking about TTC nothing is "too much information" Wink

RiverRocks · 24/06/2014 09:50

I came off Cerazette in October, and my cycle was pretty regular more or less straight away and I didn't really have any bloating or anything like that.

Started trying in January, BFP in February (MMC in April unfortunately), so I think it just depends on the person rather than it having the same effect on everyone.

Good luck Grin

Glad to hear some positive stories.
Guess it's down to the individuals as well :)
Had a quick nosey on google this
Morning (yes I know, shouldn't do it) but appears I had all the signs of ovulating approximately 2 days after stopping the pill last week(sorry if tmi) so am keeping everything crossed!
Good luck ladies :) xx

I conceived within 3 months with dd and within 6 months with ds - I was on cerazette before both of them

Loopylinz83 · 24/06/2014 08:08

Hi ladies, i stopped cerazette in mid april, after7 years on it, had a withdrawl bleed on 5th may and since then have had a bleed lasting 3 days heavy 2 days spottin (5 in total) every 20-24 days. No BFP. Not even sure i am ovulating.

I also experienced all the same symptoms as u, i was peeing more, bloated, feelin sick, sore bigger boobs for the first month or so.

This TTC business is not always as straight forward as we'd like lol.

BetterWithCheese · 24/06/2014 07:09

It took a little over 2 months for my periods to return after cerazette then 6 months to conceive. I was charting and when I looked back I realised that for most of those months we hadn't timed sex well and the first month we did I got pregnant. I was also scared by the stories about cerazette but fir me it was fine.

psychicpaper · 24/06/2014 07:05

I have been off it three months.

Straight to a regular 28 day cycle, but no BFP yet

Fairey86 · 24/06/2014 06:51

Fingers crossed for you Rikalaily! Jenk83 I sympathise with you fully, I have been getting munchies big time so feel like I have ballooned as well!
I'm 27 so not sure how long it will take as have been taking contraceptives since I was 17 and haven't actively tried before, I'm feeling impatient though and resisting the urge to test already as have not had a period yet I no they recommend waiting at least 3 weeks before testing.

I took last pill on 11th May and got BFP Fri 20th June, did a clearblue with conception indicator on Sun 23rd and it said 'pregnant 1-2 weeks', although I have been spotting since Fri evening so not sure if I have a sticky bean.

jenk83 · 23/06/2014 19:09

I know how you feel. I came off cerazette just over a month ago. I'm currently waiting to see how stable my cycle is before ttc. Plus I've started taking folic acid.

I'm looking to start ttc towards the end of the year but came off cerazette fairly early and quite happy about it. I feel the same as you though, I'm really bloated, I'm sure I put on weight even though I'm eating more healthy now and have sore boobs. At one point I actually thought they grew, with me being 31 would be highly unusual to say the least lol.

Would be interesting to know how you get on and how other woman got on.
