Ttc after cerazette

Fairey86 · 23/06/2014 16:17

Ok so I have read some real horror stories in respect of trying to conceive after cerazette and thought I would share my story or bore you all with my progress (or possible lack of haha)

So I stopped taking cerazette one week ago at the end of the last packet as me and my partner decided we would start Ttc.

First couple of days I had very light bleeding but felt fine then on the third day I started feeling bloated. To date I am still looking and feeling bloated, feel exhausted and have sore boobs and have been feeling very nauseous.

Has anyone else experienced this? How long did it take for you to conceive?

Thanks for reading :)

Good Luck Siarie. :)

Siarie · 23/07/2014 12:25

Yay Fairey, lots of DTD to do then for you soon! Cramps have increased for me now so deffo there, that's not a bad sign though as AF shouldn't be due yet (although it will be my first since BC).

And I'll add that for lots of people it will feel like AF cramps before a BFP :)

Fairey86 · 23/07/2014 11:43

According to my ovulation predictor I'm due to enter the fertile days with effect from tomorrow yahoo! Fingers crossed for us all ttc :)

Siarie thank u and good luck to u too, sendinf baby dust ur way. One of us surely has to to get a BFP this month lol. Keep us updated.

Siarie · 23/07/2014 09:48

Good luck Loopy, keep us posted.

Yay for AF Maximummy at least you know where you stand now.

I am now 7/8DPO and had a temp dip the last two days so hopefully implantation! Very low cramps, although not sure I can call them cramps more like pinching sensations. I'm remaining hopeful and will test this weekend, 20% chance this cycle so FX!

Loopylinz83 · 23/07/2014 09:39

Good luck ladies. Im currently in my fertile window apparantly according to my app lol and also(tmi about to be told) i had egg white CM 3 days ago and a pain in my right abdo which i hope is ovulation if im listening to my body correctly so plz keep ur fingers crossed. My poor husband will b nakered after this week lol but secretly im enjoying every minute. Will keep u all posted.

maximummy123 · 21/07/2014 23:03

Looks like I may have started my first AF since coming off cerazette 4 weeks and 4 days ago. Hopefully things will run smoothly and I will be able to start ttc properly in the next few weeks.

Sheepoverthemoon · 21/07/2014 15:45

Good luck siarie! My af came today, at first I was annoyed as it was late and had lots of phantom symptoms from maybe bc. But I'm ok now and all ready to gear up to try again as soon as af goes away.

Siarie · 21/07/2014 10:13

6dpo today here ladies, I was feeling normal up until today (woke up really tired and almost fell asleep last night at 7pm). But that might be any cause however I'm intrigued as implantation can happen any time on average between 6 and 12 dpo.

How is everyone else doing? :)

kayleighferrie1985 · 19/07/2014 14:47

Sheep i've been off cerazette for 5 weeks now and had my first AF 25 days after stopping. It only lasted from the Wednesday to the Friday, which didn't concern me too much as it had been heavy at times. The odd thing however was i then had a "mini-AF" this week, i think it depends how you react to it

KeeperOfTheZoo · 19/07/2014 09:49

Sheep - this time round I have obviously just been unbelievably lucky in that I seem to have ov and conceived straight away (was having periods while on it this time), but last time I came off it (after having no periods at all while on it) it took me 3 months to have my first period then I conceived DS straight after that one. I think it's almost luck of the draw as to how your body will react to coming off bc.

Sorry, that's probably no help to you whatsoever - hope things settle down for you soon Thanks.

Sheepoverthemoon · 19/07/2014 07:48

Day before my period, still bfn daily. I'm getting annoyed because I'm starting to wonder if the symptoms are in my head or worse caused by cerezette still... I've started having some cramps so preparing myself for af. If I'm still getting bfn and no af by mon I'll go to gp for blood test, it's diff to work out when af is due as only ever had one,so don't know how long the cycle is or how regular it will be the first few months, anyone have any experience after cerezette what af cycles are like? Thanks

Siarie · 18/07/2014 14:06

Another great temp rise this morning, yippee!

I just need one more for my ovulation crosshairs but I'm already certain that I'm 3 DPO today :)

I cannot tell you the relief of seeing your temp rise after taking Cerazette, knowing you are ovulating is great.

Loopylinz83 · 18/07/2014 10:34

Hey ladies, just caught up on all ur updates after being away for a week. Congrats to the zoobfp. Well my update is AF arrived since my last post. Turn out my moodyness was af on its way lol. Again short AF bout 4 days. So here goes another month of gettin jiggy and crossing fingers. Such an emotional time. Sometimes i think its never goin to happen.

Siarie · 17/07/2014 13:45

That is a lovely thought, I know even with that we all have like 25% chance each cycle? I might have a egg working it's way down my Fallopian tubes right now multiplying, but I don't know if I'm that lucky xx

You're right to relax because that helps!

Fairey86 · 17/07/2014 12:57

Indeed, it's crazy how something can control your system for so long and we spend so long trying not to
Get pregnant and when we want to it's all we can think about! Ah well going to try and relax about the whole situation now just found out one of my friends is 3 months pregnant and had taken her 8 months to conceive post cerazette so there is hope plus she didn't have a period for about 4 months after!

I suppose technically, as it is dated from the first day of your last period many of us could be pregnant now haha what a nice thought :)

I was alright on the pill too, I did have acne which was a bit crap and it did make me totally uninterested in DTD but I also felt this over welcoming sense of calm without hormones constantly changing through the cycle.

Fairey86 · 17/07/2014 12:17

Ah fingers crossed sheepoverthemoon! I hope it's not post pill symptoms for you! Must say, after my first AF, it's nice to feel 'normal' for a change! Didn't really have any issues whilst on the pill but don't think I want to go back to it ever lol

Siarie · 17/07/2014 09:56

It's hard isn't it? But I do hope you get your BFP Sheep.

Sheepoverthemoon · 17/07/2014 09:46

My af is due Sunday, I'm testing everyday - can't help it, all bfn so far. I keep symptom spotting, but could be because af is due or cerezette symptoms (I hope not, I've had one af already after coming off). I told myself I would be relaxed but I'm so impatient

Fairey86 · 17/07/2014 09:05

Haha thank you! May have a look next month if still no joy! Least some sort of normality has been resumed with the return of AF am so thankful especially as I read some people takes months to get her back

I really can't type today that was meant to read "when i tried one while taking BC there was no line".

Siarie · 17/07/2014 08:44

I have found them to be very reassuring, when I tried on while taking BC there was no line. Which is normal as there shouldn't be any trace of the LH hormone with Cerazette, that's what it stops to stop you ovulating.

Day after I stopped BC I was a faint line, which was great I could see that my body was producing the LH hormone again, very pleasing. I had a little wobble when the sticks got darker (not positive dark) but then went faint again so I thought I had missed it and ovulated. Now I realise my body tried but couldn't manage it as it had just come off BC.

But kept testing and boom two positives and even though we are DTD every other day it's very reassuring to know that each step your body is doing the right thing. Good LH surge, good EWCM and now good temp so even if we don't get our BFP this month I know that at least I'm good up to ovulation.

I like having more information so It's great as far as I'm concerned.

Fairey86 · 17/07/2014 08:35

How have you found opks Sarie? I'm too afraid to use them as I know what I'm like and may become slightly obsessed so just going to dtd every day or every other day until next month when AF should be due lol
